If you’re gonna get your game on with Maren, and maybe even start a third hybrid family, eventually you’re gonna have to either groom yourself to her liking, or let her do it herself. The plus for the latter is she actually wants to. You’ll be hanging out with her without having to ask her out.

As long as Nora the god of mischief didn’t change some of Maren’s shampoos into Nair, I would guess he’ll loose an eighth of his weight from fur and dirt loss. If Mekkan’s Loki did pull a prank, we’re looking at about a third of his weight being lost.

A chihuahua and a medium-sized dog... the result of that cross would be comically small beside a wolf. A medium-sized dog at the largest would be ~60 lbs (and a cross with a chihuahua would be considerably smaller). A small timber wolf weighs in at 120 lbs, and a large one could weigh nearly 200 lbs. (I'm a vet tech and former dog breeder's assistant. This kind of thing catches my interest and I could talk about this for hours.)

i was indeed thinking of something like the Alaskan Malamute that has been claimed to have crossed with wolfs [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfdog ]. And yes, they seem to mass something like 30 - 40 kg [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaskan_Malamute ]. Though the first link claims the very first recorded cross was with an (ancient) Pomeranian (2-4 kg today), so size differences may not be much of an issue. Wolves masses 10-80 kg due to considerable local variation (as in dogs) [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf ]. I should add that progeny fertility, not size as such, is of interest when defining so called "biological species" (more or less freely interbreeding sexual populations) to prevent misunderstanding. Mentioning mass and how to mote the issue was my attempt to stave off a common "but what about the chihuahua" question.

If TwoKinds had its own game, I can just see Maren using her grooming tools as makeshift combat weapons which can debuff enemies. =P

Timer wolves, (grey wolves,) average 90 lbs. The heaviest on record was 175 lbs. The largest wolf species is the "Mackenzie Valley Wolf" which averages 140/150. Not trying to be nitpicky, just giving info. Sadly, we do not have direwolves. I have a 3 quarters mal/1 quarter husky puppy. He'll be a bit smaller than a typical mal when grown, (typical mals being around 80 lbs,) but I just love the breed. Some people breed mals for their size, calling them "giant malamutes', but it's unhealthy. They can be closer to 100 lbs. So all in all, mals and common wolves are very similar in size.

The wolf weight thing was more in response to InkFire. I saw they said that a normal Timber wolf was way heavier than everything I'd read on it. Maybe you'd contradicted that more yourself. I initially only saw their reply, which may have just been a glitchy thing.

And yes, on contradictory wiki's, one has to go to the references (and still you can get contradictions - getting facts "correct(er)" is *hard*).
