Normal universe Raine fan fictions are the forbidden tomes, they are mislabeled only to drive alternate universe Raine away. XD

Interestingly, in all sketches about this alternative universe, Raine is always in the wolf form. In this AU, she can not transform? Or is Rose hiding this ability from her? Or are they hiding this ability from Trace?

In Fantasy Fiction often a Tome is just some sort of magical book. Either a book containing arcane knowledge or a book that's literally enchanted or anything like that. The specifics aren't important so long as they're some sort of Powerful Fantasy Book.

Well, she was born a Keidran. I considered that her default form even if she ages like a human. In this AU, she wasn't taught to be ashamed of it.

I don't think she was born keidran actually. I'm fairly certain of this because in the main comic the way that she maintains her human form is with a magic inhibitor which stops mana from being used. If it takes magic to become keidran and not the other way around then I would guess Raines default form is human.

While I am still of the opinion that the manor is NO PLACE for a child; Saria and I have come to... an agreement on the matter after some... discussion." Saria: *Smirks darkly* Trace: "The girl may stay. Provided she does not interfere with my research and abides by the rules I have already laid out for-" Saria: "What my... DEAR husband... means, Rose darling, is that the girl has the run of the house. So long as she doesn't get into anything dangerous, she's free to go where she wants and do what she pleases. I've a tutor scheduled to begin her schooling whenever you wish." Trace, sulking: "Yes... well. If that's all. I shall... return to my studies. Good day." *Exeunt Trace* Saria: "...He's really not so bad once you get to know him, Raine dear. While he's around, you'll call him Master Trace. When he isn't, well.... we'll teach you what we call him when he isn't around." Rose: *Attempts to hold back laughter. Fails miserably.* Saria: *Not even trying to hide her laughing fit.* Raine: *Too consumed by booklust to even notice.*

It could also be, that her transformation needs magic in both ways. So the shackle holds her in her current form. That could maybe also explain how her outburst of magic against Carver simultaneously returned her to her human form.

In comic, Raine explains that when she was born she was either Keidran or shifted shortly after birth because the nurse fainted. Either way <b>Kubulai</b> is suggesting what is likely the reason. In this AU, Raine has been taught that being Keidran is nothing to be ashamed of.

I see it as more of a “only Trace, Saria, and I get to read these, type thing. Also, I’d hope that AOT/SNK, Tokyo Ghoul, and SAO are among the mangas in that bookshelf. (Frankly I think the manga for Tokyo Ghoul was better than the Anime. Hide’s death had much more meaning in the manga, as it’s implied that he sacrificed himself for Kaneki to keep going on, but in the anime, he’s more or less the victim of a stray bullet, though you at least know he did indeed die.)
