Perhaps Twokinds is filmed in Chile? (Cursory Google search turns up that as one example locale where engagement rings are traditionally worn by both partners and on the right hand until marriage, where the rings are switched to the left hand).

This is my head cannon! Except, all keidran characters are actually human and have to be on set at 4 in the morning to have all their makeup put on. Also, Mrs. Nibbly is a real squirrel that the trainer has difficulty controlling and is constantly attacking cast members. Especially Sythe.
