My queen! I worship thee!

DiDiDi-X

Adelaide looks so awesome like that. We need this to be colored.

ChampionOfBagels

I know what I'm voting for at the end of the month

Christopher Larson

Looks like she's got the chainsaw knife from fallout 76

Terra The Wizard

Well this is fun, not often you see Aztec stuff

CrRAR

KAHLIIIIIIII MAHHHHHH(ma)

...Idea. Adelaide, Natani and Alaric as the Aztec Gods of Fitness. *Edit* Wait, better idea. Musclehead general instead of Alaric.

Bebere

It looks like no one found gear at her size, just saying ^^

Roughlandin

Pictured: King Jade Adelaide models traditional pre-schism warrior's attire at an annual Basitin cultural festival. While at the festival, the King gave a masterful demonstration on a secret ancient Baisitin technique that allowed a warrior to wield THREE deadly weapons at the same time. The effect was awe-inspiring... if slightly distracting.

Christopher Larson

Yeah thats actually really cool. Tbh my favorite ancient weapon has to be a khopesh though. Super unique.

YES! To WAR! Itzcóatl and Motecuzoma of Tenochtitlan demand prisoners for the sacrificial bloodletting to Huitzilopochtli and Tezcatlipoca, so that we may have a bountiful harvest from the chinampas in Lake Texcoco.

Adelaide: Foul beasts! I will send you back to the depths of Hades! (God of War reference)

[NoMiddleInitial]

LOL. That’s India. “You’ve betrayed Shiva.” XD

Calvin-Skye

Wow! That's really sweet. Anyway to get that unit in Age of Empires?

CrRAR

Aztec Adelaide: Stealer of hearts, sometimes literally.

“Oh just a normal Monday morning in the islands” they say...

Here is another culture lesson for ya all. You could tell what rank a warrior was based on the cloths. They ranked up by capturing other soldiers as slaves. Adelaide is dressed as a first or second rank warrior, but she has Montesuma II´s iconic headress (who was an emperor. ) Unranked warriors used clubs and spears, and outside of the ocational gambeson armor made by cotton were mostly naked with no decorations. When a warrior captured his first slave he got the Macuahuitl club that you can see in the picture and a shield but also bright red loincloths. When they captured another they were allowed to wear sandals to battle and a extra decorated armor that got more decorated the higer you went. But also a conical hat. She can't have captured a third slaves as they got to wear banners into battle to signify how skilled they were. There were more ranks then just these but im not going to go into all of them. The iconic jaugar and eagel warriors for example usually had to capture four to six slaves at least alongside alot of heroic deeds to even be considerd as they were the elites of the elite. The Aztec did not discriminate much on solider ranks if you were a noble or not and it was all about how skilled you were. Outside of a special elite rank above jaguar warrior where they shave themselfs of most hair and were punished by death if they retreated, a everyday joe could become most ranks in the military even army leaders. Only nobles were allowed to be priests however.

Short Round: Indy! Cover your heart! Cover your heart!

Other then the fact she should be wearing a gambeson armor made out of cloth, this is pretty accurate. Aztec warriors did not have a lot of clothes and decorations unless they were really high rank. Considering she is not wearing a banner she can´t be particularly high ranked. That in itself is kind of strange tho considering who she is and the fact that she is wearing a headdress that only one particular emperor used to wear. she looks dam good tho

jo holloway

I’m adding that to the big file of rpg reference/inspiration pictures.

Ordithus

Fearsome and beautiful - perfect Adelaide

SCPilot

I'll keep that suggestion in mind actually! I might do Natani next!

SCPilot

I think the one Adelaide has is 2 feet long, which was the shortest a Macuahuitl could be (others could be as long as 4 feet long!). Still give any weapon to Adelaide and she is a force to be reckoned with!

CrRAR

I... I’d make a joke about how the Emperor wears no clothes, but I fear for the consequenc- *ghrrk*

SCPilot

I loved watching this get drawn!

SCPilot

I was not aware of that. I knew that they didn't have much clothing on when they went into battle, but the rest of this is very interesting and exciting to learn (I'm a history buff).

Spartan277

War Club needs to be bigger, but this is absolutely fantastic, I love it

Roughlandin

War club is big. Adelaide is bigger.

Adamas

Yeah, considering her size compared to most Bastian a 2 footer would look kinda small in her hand.

Major Matt Mason

Toltecs dorbs! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

KaiserDunk

Pity the lost sailor who lands on HER shores!

AlphaWolf85

Reminds me of kotal kahn from mk.

[NoMiddleInitial]

I’m so glad I’m not the only history buff. X)

steelabjur

It's actually likely that it's the 4 foot long version, the reason it looks so small is because the woman holding it is a huge 7'2" tall (just 2 inches shorter than the legendary Andre the Giant in size). A two foot long version would look like a pocket knife in her hands.

VitAnyaNaked

Well, of course you don't often see Adelaide in an Aztec style. However, I definitely love her to see in it!

SCPilot

A shame it didn't quite make it. It got close though.

SCPilot

I just realized something: does that loincloth Aztec Adelaide is wearing only cover up the front or did it cover up both back and front?
