Maren just didn't want to tell Trace and Flora the secret... She uses baby shampoo to wash out Sythe's fur when she grooms him. It's much less harsh than traditional shampoo and keeps his coat soft, supple, and shiny. (Also, he has sensitive eyes.) Cute, Tom! Hopefully Flora has the restraint to remember to eat the steak and not the stick. Congrats, Leif!

Wouldn't that presumably mean they would have to then improv up a baby shower as to cover their own tracks? Unless someone else in their friend group was already planning one? Side Note: would it be spoiler territory if we had a comic with most of the girls (i.e. Maren, Raine, Kat, Jade, Adira, and Ivy) Arguing over who'd be the godmother to Flora and Traces kid?

When I saw the title for this, I thought the couples were out to buy themselves some…babies! And that reminded me of (from Calvin and Hobbes) Calvin’s dad who answered the inevitable question “Where do babies come from” by saying l, “From a store…but we got you on sale! KMart blue light special!”

Or, Nibs and Maren has decided that Sythes floof is glorious and plentyful enough for both of them and they are shopping for two litters but separated for efficiency with Sythe and Maren going for the heavy lifting stuff and Nibs going for the lighter high quantity items with her own cart in another part of the supermarket.
