well i do think trace or nora could use magic to repair stoney though calling it stoney doesn't fit well for me so maybe give it a proper name like alex or sam?

but stoney is a cute name for an animated statue. better than rocky in my opinion.... suddenly reminded of "the boulder" in avatar the last airbender..... oh man imagine stoney going " the boulder does not like being split in half"

for me personally i see a living being in there i dunno why but just saying what material it is made of makes me feel odd it's kinda like calling me humany or something like that

Although they are both perceived and were made as monsters, both have a heart, even if one belongs to someone else and the other is actually made of stone respectively

I was wondering if they'd be able to swap upper parts, but poor chimera's legs would probably give out after a microsecond. Also, they look so... shippable. :v
