Hi there! Just wanted to ask all of you which panel (or sequence of panels) from the comic do you consider your favorites, or just like for any reason? Preferably old ones. This will be helpful to me. Thanks!

The Alaric and Keith battle on the bridge was pretty cool

Technic_bot

like we just answer here on comments?

MarshalB

Any of Nat and Keith,

KiTA

There was that one with a magically-intoxicated Flora covered in ribbons, that was quite memorable.

Thesmartfox

Anything with full wolf Raine is my favorite! I especially like the parts with Red playing with her tail. Her reactions are priceless! How we get to see more of her soon! Second is the formation of the Laura illusion. Such a beautiful scene.

Odin

I liked the introduction to Riftwall and Adira. It's a fun location and a potential gateway into the rest of the world. Adira seems like an interesting and complex character.

w0lfmare

The first time we saw wolf Raine, when Red was messing with the shackle!

Throughout the comic and specifically older moments in it. - I’d have to say the entire sequence of Trace vs Ephemural - The moment of Trace and Flora laying their feelings out for each other. - The moment of Keith getting tricked into following a fake Laura, and the ensuring fight with Zen/Natani vs Keith/Trace - Pretty much the entirety of the Basitin Isle arc, but specifically I’d say Keith’s bridge fight with Alaric, Trace going evil mode on the Templars, the scene where the arms general gets blasted by magic, and the sequence of Laura’s and Trace’s talk/ her death. These were all very emotionally powerful scenes, getting into the depths of everyone with their feelings and thought. Along with lots of “oh shit” moments where I had a genuine concern for the characters that something was about to happen, especially when things take that dark turn.

Rosenkavalier

A relatively long sequence, but the pages where Natani and Keith finally start to admit their feelings for each other (803-809 and 814-815).

Gripen

#951, last three panels, especially the last panel banter between Sythe and Red. I liked that the conversation was a bit more adult-ish in nature as Sythe teased

Azuma

Chapter 10, p 435 to 437 . Chapter 11 P 446 to 450 & P521 to 526. Chapter 12 p 543-544 , P584 to 588 & 593 to 595 .Chapter 15 P 665 to 669, 713. Chapter 16 P 732-733, 735, 738 to 741 , 757 to 763. And so many more

CrimsonQuill086

I have several contenders. The first and most prominent that comes to mind is the second panel of "First Watch" (Comic 812), showing Raine in her halfkind form as she's stating that despite her not going back to being fully human, she's glad they're safe. I love this panel because of that particular style you drew Raine in. She looks...happy. At peace. Gentle. Kind. So many nice things at once. And quite cute too. But moreover, this is a good moment overall-the gang have just captured Zen, which removes the immediate danger of assassination, and Raine has the confidence boost of being in a somewhat more comfortable position (for her), though with the implication that she may learn how to accept that half of her over time. Overall, I just love Raine's halfkind form-it's a beautiful picture of the duality of her heritage, Human and Keidran, and the hope that she will eventually embrace and be proud of both sides of herself. Another incredible standout, however, has to be in Chapter 18-Comic 917, "Taking Fire"-specifically, the sequence with Adira throwing her daughter Maeve out of Roan's fireball, and the close-up of their expressions. In the third and second last panels especially, you captured the horror of watching someone about to die in front of you. Maeve's face is the face I've seen in pictures of many children during war-especially during....current events. Maeve's face is the face of every refugee, every child who has watched their family or friends die. Desperation. Horror. Fear. Grief. All in that panel. And Adira's is likewise a beautiful mix of horror, fear that she won't be able to protect her child, fear that she is going to die, but also a resolve that she's doing this for her daughter. The final shot of the back of Maeve's head as she watches the fireball burst is the dénouement of this horrific moment in which it appears there is another pointless casualty of a petty war. I'm also deeply fond of another three pages (Sorry, this comment's a long one!) - 754 (Natani admitting how much he loves Keith, despite feeling mortified, because he just wants to save his life), the last three panels of 950 (where Maren shows her softer side, by giving Raine's fur a brush, which also leads into the later page about her aspirations in pet care and giving Raine some nice bonding time-also showing Maren growing to be more tolerant of Raine's keidran form and keidran in general), 1062 (confidence of fools) showing Red being supportive of Raine-he's still a dolt but for just a week it's still a good development, and he actually shows some smarts in the middle two panels when he's talking about Roselyn and how she could help) and ...well...I know these are pages rather than panels, but 1056-1057 hit me hard. Seeing Madelyn so demoralized, so desperate not to be in her mother's shadow, pouring her heart out to Karen, and then seeing Karen drop her usual "sugar-rush" personality recognizing the need for a moment of support and tenderness, showing a side of herself that is buried beneath the excitable teenager and just how dang CARING she is, no matter who it is in front of her (she really is a wonderful person), is a beautiful picture. She's just trying to be a good friend. Mischevious she may be, but she'll also be a shoulder to lean on. And that's pretty neat. There are at least a dozen more sequences I love but this comment is absurdly long as is, my apologies. Your comic has some beautiful standout moments and it is such a joy to read.

Elvenhunter84

For whatever reason, the panel where Sythe is yelling "Graaah!" after joining up with Group B for the first time lives in my head rent free. I think about it often and I'm not sure why

Glassan

It's a challenge to pick just one, but I personally enjoyed Trace summoning the Black Magic dragon on page 223 and the subsequent Dragon fight on pagss 229-232.

Vokdane

The scene where Keith apologize to Flora for being rude with her during the first chapters (page 693 and 694), I personally found this very emotional ;-;

Elvenhunter84

Also those few pages of Flashbacks during the trial as to what happened to Keith's parents and Alaric's eye are probably the best in the whole comic. And the panel where Eric is putting the control collar back on Evals and he is crying and begging for him not to. I like the sad, emotional stuff

Muddypaws

Oh.. I first say everything!! And I do mean everything! But as for arch’s…, it would be interesting to see more of the Basiten civilization, and more about the inner workings of Tiger & Wolf keidran societies.

Rulo6000

page 435, kat offering a "special" massage to flora, kat has a nice sensual undressing pose in one panel

ElderScrollsMekkan

I... can't decide. But in particular I love the latter panels of page 1107 because of how powerful that moment is in my opinion. How Flora, seeing Trace lamenting about what he'd lost in the past and feeling the pain still lingering in those memories, takes the opportunity to pull him from his past grief still haunting him by making him feel her belly and the baby inside her, reminding him of the child he's having with her now, how he has another chance to be a father again, to have a family like he has always wanted, and reminding him of the woman before him now, of the incredible love he feels for her, and the incredible love she has for him too. I think I could even sense Trace's love for his child in that moment, too, which is something we never get to see - ever. Imo it was an incredible and heartwarming character growth moment for those two and the most wholesome moment thus far for Trace and Flora as a couple and as parents-to-be that really pulled at my heartstrings - I literally cried when I saw it. I just hope we get more wholesome family-to-be moments like that in the future because they're absolutely precious. and perhaps... heh, maybe next time *not* while in the middle of a terrible crisis, nor in danger, for a change.

CrimsonQuill086

Oh cripes, I forgot that one. It is a great juxtaposition between Red and his horrible speciesist, racist rhetoric, and Raine's genuine fear for her life behind him. Nice foreshadowing too!

Roughlandin

The panel of Keith staring at the reflection in ol' buckety on page 777 and the Main 4 laying together on 779 always gives me warm fuzzies. Honestly, the whole 10th anniversary comic in general. Ditto for pages 759 and 760.

CrimsonQuill086

...You're gonna make me write another comment, no, a full essay, on that blooming sequence now...that was truly one of the best moments in the entire comic. Hands down. Seriously, every time I read that I just get "Shifu vs Tai Lung" playing in my head rent free.

Leif

The beginning of chapter 5 where Flora and Trace spill their fellings.

Sunfish43

Page 694 was probably my favorite. It was wholesome to see Keith pour his heart out after losing everything and have the Legacys return that love.

CrimsonQuill086

...Hearth darn it. Another standout. "What makes you any better than us, huh? What makes you humans so high and mighty?" A beautiful, righteous anger from Keith at seeing his friend being dismissed because of what she is, rather than who she is-and the idea of what other people think, rather than what your heart says. Not to mention that he's probably had enough of that crap in the fox village, or even before that, treated as a runt by the Basitin military and even his own father. So he won't stand for Trace dismissing Flora because she " looks like an animal" or "is not the same species".

Roughlandin

Sythe meeting Nibbs on pages 789 and 790 is really cute, too. Especially the boop.

Onyx Dragon 388

I like the chapter on the boat coming back from the island where Trace finds out he’s going to be a dad

Kamonster

Oh goh there are so many but if I had to narrow it down to just one it would have to be the last page of chapter 16 when Natani carries Keith to his room and comforts him. It's the first time in the comic that they share an intimate moment together that neither of them act awkward about. The fact that Keith doesn't push back against Natani rubbing his ear and Natani continuing to do it even after learning that it's an intimate gesture I think speaks volumes about how the relationship has grown between these two without being too on the nose. (Their first kiss on the boat together is also a favorite of mine for similar reasons)

Mimeo

I like the panels that include full body shots and unique angles. There's only so much that can be done with close-ups of faces at the same spot above the horizon line.

Gameboy78

Basically everything with Raine and Adira, I really like these two. Also the scene with Keith and Alaric on the bridge. And the moment where Keith sees Laura the last time as an Illusion. Another favourite is the scene where Natani stops Keith from commiting suicide and the first kiss, before the tavern gets burned down. I have to reread the comic some time, I'm sure there are more scenes I really like.

joseph shovlin

I was going to say the same sequence. Page 474 is good, setting the scene and giving the characters plenty of space. It feels quite rooted in the manga tradition Tom associates with the Webcomic, where environments are given proper space and, as Scott McCloud says 'it's more about being there than getting there', and it feels really justified, since the friction it represents, society vs individual, is one of Keith's biggest tensions.

Peter Lyon

Many, but I have a couple of particular favourite pages. 941, because Keith and Natani, but it is such a beautiful reveal of their feelings for each other even while others are watching. https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/941/ 968 and 979 because it is a great moment between Raine and Maren, and shows the Ice Queen melting a bit.

CrimsonQuill086

Okay, a few more standouts have crossed my mind (one brought up by Mediawatcher above and I am KICKING myself for not remembering it: Alaric and Keiths's bridge battle sequence, (478, 485, 487-488, and 495-498. It's such a beautifully tragic engagement between two who were-and are-friends. It's clear that Alaric is reluctant to engage with Keith, and perhaps, in his heart, he agrees with him-but at the end of the day, his duty to his King and the orders he has given supersede his loyalty to his friend. And Keith is determined to do what is right, to save his people even if it means fighting against them. The two are at an impasse, and the fight itself is a beautiful display of the way bonds are shattered in war. It also displays Keith's thinking outside the box. He knows that he'll never match Alaric in combat, so, he manages to outthink him-and given that Alaric is the Master General-likely superior in mental capabilities to Albion himself if the sheer number of documents he drafted with contingency after contingency are anything to go by-that is no mean feat. But there is no triumph in this battle. It reminds me of the battle between Cú Chulainn and Ferdiad in the Irish legend-Cú Chulainn and Ferdiad had trained as brothers in arms on the Isle of Skye, and were dear friends. But when they met on the battlefield, with Cú Chulainn on the side of the armies of Ulster and king Conchobar, and Ferdiad on the side of the armies of Connaught and Queen Maebh (Maebh), their duty to their people outweighed their loyalty to each other. As with Keith and Alaric, one was slain, the other broken, as Cú Chulainn used the Gáe Bolg (a barbed spear) to slay his former brother in arms. As in that legend. Unlike that legend, however, Keith desperately tries to save Alaric-and had the sleeve not ripped, it is likely, I think, that Alaric would have come over to Keith's side, with that revelation that he's not willing to see his friends hurt for the sake of the law or his own reinstatement as a citizen. Here, Keith just desperately wishes to end the cycle of bloodshed-but the wheel continues to turn...and Alaric, at the end, lies broken in the rubble, at the bottom of the valley, his last great plan pushed into action even as the life fades from his eyes. For if he could not side with Keith in the field of battle...he would ensure his friend is exonerated in the courts. And also, the trial, and Aster revealing what he found in his father's notes (560-562. Upon reading that sequence, it shows the horrifying lengths to which a person might go to aid their friend, or at least, provide what they would consider "aid". Albion Alabaster shows his worst qualities here-his bigotry and hatred towards the Western Basitins, as he reaches out to strangle Cathleen, his brutal venom towards Keith ("I'll see that you suffer for this, boy!"), and his bouts of violence and rage (to which he is quite susceptible) as he cracks Cathleen's skull with that bottle, or the rash action that led to it in the first place (deciding to ensure Cornelius remains on the island by removing a person whom he considers could incriminate him). But he also displays what would typically be considered more noble qualities. He's deeply concerned for Cornelius, watching his friend drink himself blind drunk out of the stress of keeping his relationship with a Westerner under covers, and the knowledge that should he be questioned, he would be biologically forced to answer. He wants to help his friend and goes about it in the worst way. It just shows that things that would be considered noble can be done by cruel people out of genuine concern, and lead to horrific and fatal results. It shows Albion's softer-and sharper-sides-again, his best qualities, and his worst.

Professor Ryuusei

I would go for the entire chapter of the 10th anniversary special, Trace stopping Clovis’s attack in chapter 17, panel 4 of page 1021 (Trace and Flora look so cute together) and parts of Trace and Flora’s arc in chapter 20 after being teleported and separated from the group.

Galen

Mine would have to be the bottom panels of pages 873 and 809. I love it when Natani kisses Keith and there's all the electric emotions on 809 and I have to love Flora's grrrrrr face at the bottom of 873, such a good scary face from her!

CrimsonQuill086

It could be just how it's an expression of the sheer bad luck Sythe has had. First his fiancé dumps him. Then, his uncle sends assassins after them and he thinks they're dead. Then he's conscripted to the front lines in a war he doesn't want to fight, where he would rather be mending relations with people. Then, while trying to rescue civilians, he's discovered, and it's only by a miracle they escape. Think about all of this sitting on his head, knowing he's a fugitive to everyone and has nowhere to go...and then put Red being his racist/speciesist self with that "Damn Keidran!" comment he made. That was the moment that snapped the last of Sythe's fragile hold on his sanity. And that "GRAAAAH!" is the combined result of all the awful things that have happened to him and the terrible deck that life has dealt him. He's got nowhere to go and the people he's with (bar Karen and Raine) hate his guts because he's a Keidran. So...yeah, that might be why it hits so hard for you.

DarthKeidran

There are a lot of older panels I like, and for many different reasons, so here’s a few general parts of the comic I can think of: Some I like for the art and backgrounds, such as the scene where Nora first encounters Trace, Flora, Natani, and Keith. Some I like for the story, such as Trace’s flashbacks. Some I like for the emotions, such as when Keith and Natani visit the cemetery. And some, like those immediately before and after Flora is possessed by ephemeral, I like because of the mystery of what a panel or page between them would look like.

Rex the Raccoon

The panels from which Mike gets gender bent by Nora is my favorite.

Foxington

Either the last panel on 280 (They're both lies!) Or 281's last panel (this isn't what it looks like). Though, really any of the scenes between Keith and Natani that has them both flustered or embarrassed or just cute.

Duplexium

I always loved the aftermath of Trace and Flora's first time. https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/207/ Particularly Flora's expression in the 2nd to last panel - she just looks so hopeful and enamored with Trace. "Trace, are you saying you don't want me anymore?" She says, knowing fully that's not at all the case. It's just cute.

chrushl.

first thing that comes to mind, can't be the only one page 112. Flora deciding fuck it, he's worth the risk of getting hurt again.

Wesley Farber

I always remember the panel of Red attacking Tom the pizza guy shouting "In the name of meaningless battle!" (Page 70)

AlaricLives87

Comic for November 23rd, 2009: Alaric's Lament Never did I feel more love for a character in this comic before or since. It also filled me with regret and fear over not only the choices I've made in life, but being in a situation where I'm taking my last breaths alone like that. I still do.

Trinary

Pretty much any scene with Reni, especially her being cute and awkward.

Isekai'd

Oof, there are quite a few, so let's see: - Page 77 (Chapter 4; May 28 of 2004), the last panel; specifically the way you drew Flora here, has been stuck with me for a long while after I first read that chapter almost 20 years ago and I kind for the sake of me say why 😆 - Page 105 (Chapter 5; August 27 of 2004), the third panel; the wide shot with Flora being seen from behind while standing in that lake at night, the stars reflected in the water, and fireflies around her always struck me as very beautiful and serene - Page 379 (Chapter 10; April 30 of 2007), the third panel; little Keith how he got hugged by/is hugging his mom, who looked not only beautiful but also very kind and gentle, was always such a stark contrast to everything else we knew about his painful past and the tough, harsh/strict life on the Basitin island - Page 388 (Chapter 10; May 28 of 2007), the fifth panel; basically the same as the one before, one of the few times we witnessed anything positive/happy in his childhood - Page 440 (Chapter 11; July 30 of 2008), the last panel; the deep guilt Keith felt at what he was about/supposed to do to someone he considered a friend and who was very important to him. This panel always felt excessively heavy and dreadful - Page 458 (Chapter 11; October 10 of 2008), the whole page with a special focus on the second to last panel; the whole page shows how much Keith wants to go back to his old life to the point where he is trying not to feel and think and just let his body do what it has to do, only for him to stop at the very moment he could have killed Natani and he - with tears streaming down his face - decides he can't do it and would rather sacrifice his own life than that of someone who is close and important to him... getting goosebumps even now (I'm almost done, I swear) - Page 759 and 760 (Chapter 16; October 2 and 16 of 2013) the last two panels of 759 and the first of 760; the silent exchange between Laura and Natani was... I don't really have the words to describe the feelings I had at that. The whole arc around Laura coming back as a 'ghost' thanks to Natani's heart's desire spell, how Keith latched on to that hope and had to come to terms with the inevitable loss of her... I never have and probably never will not cry at this (even now I'm crying a little just thinking about it and looking at those pages). I think the only other scene in the whole comic that emotionally hit me so hard was after Detritus got defeated and Saria and Rose got reunited before leaving this mortal plane again, together ____________________________________________________________________________ I could easily bring up more (like the scene where Adira shoves Maeve out of the way of the fireball as someone else mentioned), but since you wanted 'old' ones I will end it here, with the youngest pages around ten years old. ([edit:] reading through the other comments here... man, there have been so many more good pages/scenes even between 2003 and 2013 that I love and could have mentioned as well... just shows how amazing this comic is. One simply can't remember them all! )[/edit] Man, that's a trip down memory lane, alright. Has it really been almost 20 years? Unbelievable... Your comic really has been one of the constants in my life. A source of joy and entertainment for almost two decades and more than half of my life. An inspiration for more than one daydream. Something I always look forward to, even now. It was and still is amazing to see how the story continues, how your art style is evolving, and how much you evidently love creating all of this. Please, stay awesome like this, and here is to your health and many more years of TwoKinds!

Anders the Mage

Page 55 is one that always stands out to me for a good laugh i also really like 384 where trace is holding floras tail feels very wholesome as well as the two top panels of page 288 with Kathrin and Eric it seems im a sucker for seeing the cast just relaxing haha

Devoted Archon

The panel when we see the dates on the picture frame and find out rose is dead was incredibly strong. Also, when Reni is looking at trace’s memory and sees Nora, and Nora looks right at Reni and chastises her.

VGR

Well, this should be easy, since there’s so few pages to choose from… • Trace realizing Nora had feelings for him, when she’s about to go into hibernation. https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/572/ (Dragon love for the win) • The ghost of Laura illusion, pages 753–762. Anyone who’s lost someone important understands. • Reni gets a telepathic peep show, and a big surprise from Nora: https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/958/ • Trace’s revealing his relationship to Rose, and even more so, his apology to her. Pages 1031–1033. • Sythe teasing Red by revealing some anatomical details about wolf Keidran, including Raine. https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/951/

Andrew Copsey

Back when Trace and Flora first meet Keith. Keith tries to persuade Trace that all Keidran are evil... and Flora is playing with a butterfly 😻🦋. K: Uh, yeah, see... pure... evil. And when Keith finds out that Natani is a woman, that's just hilarious. N:Their both lies! I'm a male! ...Shut up!

Natali_Wolffe

Probably one of my favorite sequences is the Assassin Brothers reuniting, only to end up talking about Keith, and suddenly realize Keith is in the room. The fact it's ambiguous how long he was there is just the cherry on top

Foxpie

page 651 middle 3 pannels, shows the shear terror the collars induce, and realy show how not good eric is.

Freshmeat

I don't really have a favorite soooo....

AetherSprite224

Page 639. That was the current page up when I first was directed to Twokinds, from I can't remember where... I knew from then I'd enjoy the comic, and I wasn't wrong. I think I'd finished getting up to date on it by the time the next page came out, and I haven't missed a single update since.

Jordan Dean Ezekude

If I had to choose a favourite panel in the entire webcomic, it'd be Keith Keiser slashing at Seraphina whilst mid-air with his cape on fire! This, in my opinion, was the finest moment in the life of my favourite TwoKinds character.

SomemuttupNorth

The reveal of 1113 is one of my favorites. Also 738

Jeb_CC

Page 761, last panel, just is quite touching.

ZapiliDver

Mrs. Nibbly first appearance & first time Keith meets with Nat

Tiger Warrior

This is a bit of a recent example, but I thought the last panel of page 1057 was nice, when Karen was giving Madelyn emotional support. I also thought the moments between Raine and Sythe were underrated.

MeteorMash

Trace losing it on the Basitin Island. The black tentacles piercing basitins right and left.

MeteorMash

Also trace summoning the black dragon.

TJK20

Page 986, when Nat wakes up to find Keith snuggled up against her and is fine with it

Page 465

Drazgon

Page 223. "Rise... my demon." Page 403. "I AM TRACE!! Oh, Trace… I recognize your magical aura… it makes my scales quiver" Trace and Flora dialogue on a river, the one that ended up with the first true kiss. Page 553. "I can't stay, Nora. But... I... I understand, Trace. *a single tear appers*" And follow up BLARG, when Trace does return. Pages 422-424 I'd been waiting so long for what had happened with Laura and Keith back in a fox vilage. Keith thought she left him and cheated on him, got that attidude towards all keidren... But was wrong. "I wanted to see you again... or die waiting." Page 523. Tower explosion. "Keith… I tried as hard as I could…" ... https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/594/ ... Somehow that ark with illusion of Laura didn't get me at all. Couldn't forget even for a sec, that it was just Keith's image of Laura, acting not like Laura would but like Keith thought she would. Duel of Alaric and Keith, Alaric's death. page 499. "Everything I did was for you, Keith… I wanted you to be proud of me" The last panel of 694. Trace and Flora support Keith, while he realizes he has true friends. Could be a good representation of all comic. Page 920. "No. I AM the Grand Templar. You WILL obey me! And I said… STOP!" *proceeds to stop a dozen of fireballs ready to wipe out half the square* Others pages i like with Rose or Saria or Reni are pretty new I consider... So that's enough. Most memorable.

Jeebüüs

Imma say page 526 and those leading up to it. 526 is pretty damn good from an aesthetics pov, plus these pages are a lot of the reason I simp for Laura so much. Sacrificing yourself for the greater good is pretty commendable by any standard.

ThingsAreMoving

Can't name just one tbh, listing them all would be a huge wall of text so I'll just pick three: Red inviting Raine to a date - page 680 (love the contrast of Red being serious and the comedic effect of Raine transforming at the worst moment possible) Nat and Keith relationship breakthrough - page 809 - the lead up to this moment took a long time and the final delivery was on point. Group B hotsprings chillout - page 950 - character development in a relaxed setting. The entire time they spent in the hotsprings was extremely enjoyable but Raine's "this is nice" showed she is getting more comfortable with admitting there might be some good things about her keidran form.

IamMike

I'm down with Karen x Maddie tail holding also Sythe and Maren love story

Thredra

Comic 862, Adira's debut.

Tigermark

Kat's first appearance. She was absolutely gorgeous.

Madcap Burlon

Page 280 comes to mind, but pretty much any scene with Keith and Natani. 316 is also a good one. And 361 of course. ...I'm pretty predictable.

Ordithus

Certainly one of the most memorable panels was when Laura finally approached Keith on page 415, haha. Best of all time, though, has got to be 809. The kiss!

Reptani

Okay, I subscribed to the Patron just to make this comment: Page 450 https://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/450/ The way the lightning out the window is exposing the shadows of Keith's conflicted self-talk ("lie," "traitor," "betrayer," "unfaithful," "kill her," et cetera) in a chilling font, onto the wall that he is facing... that is one panel that has remained in my memory for years.

Sentinel Prime's Chin

Page 350. I think it’s just because the vibe Flora has as she’s waking up reminds me a lot of my partner. Really dumb I know but I genuinely can’t pick a favorite otherwise.

Brigham Garoz

Page 720. Panel 6. So I stumbled onto your comic, looking for inspiration for "gates of hell" for a graphic design project for school back in 2013. An image that popped up on Google looked similar to a locust enemy from Gears of War but when I clicked on it, it took me to your comic with page 720 being the most recent post. I didn't think much of it at the time but I decided to read the page and then I moved on from it and went back to working on my project. The next day, I couldn't help but keep thinking about that page and I started getting curious about the comic. Being my first webcomic, I didn't know that there was more to it than just that page and kept going back to it day after day until the next page was finally posted, and I wanted to go back to the first page I've seen. Rereading page 720, I started paying more attention to the detailing in the art and was left amazed at the emotion portrayed through Raine in panel 6. Finally realizing that there were more pages already posted and many more to be posted, I went to the beginning and immediately noticed a change in the art design. Wanting to know the story behind those characters in 720, I trudged on through the beginning. Enjoying the development and introductions of characters, I got hooked to the story. And then I came back to 720, and that's when it hit me. Panel 6 Raine looks so much different than when she was introduced and I went back to compare the two images. And I was amazed at the evolution of the art from page 1 up to that page. And I am still amazed at the improvements coming on by. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see more in the future. You're an inspiration.

SophieTRat-Skunk

I’d have to choose the close ups of Raine’s face in the April Fool’s strip - especially the wink... (Also the couple of panels of Red as a wolf Keidren in the same strip).

Tuna

April 27, 2005 - Comic 186

James

Pages 917 and 918. I liked the powerful emotion there.

Swack16

I think its one of the deleted strip in the past where Trace is having a bath alone while Flora and Kath were outside as He transformed his hand into a white tiger paw, indicating that Tiger Trace is might be canon in the future

ThirdKind

Page 329 because I love that kind of comedy. Page 764 because I love that kind of close touching moments. Lastly page 1021 because I really like it when we get deep foreshadowing.

The_Nitpick

First two panels of 288, and panel 3 of 618 are in my top faves.

Miikka

page 897 and 380 also all pages with dragon clovis

When Adelaide barges into the courtroom and lays down the law. Also when Adelaide and Natani have a conversation with one another.

- K e i s e r - (TK is my life!)

1. Keith call Natani as attractive. She's cute at the moment. 2. Them first kiss. 3. Natani agreed to get help from Keith in a bathroom (scratch her back, as I remember). 4. When Keith tried to kill her, but stopped. (All these pages. Sorry, it's impossible to choose one of them. One of the strongest moment.) 5. Keith beats Natani when meets her after she's coma. And OF COURSE - HUGS after that. ETC Do I need to continue? Tom, let me know if I do - I'll do it with a big pleasure)

I remember 496 having a big impact on me while reading...But honestly 654 with Kats confession really hit me the hardest.

Orekh

I could point out many panels with Laura, her waiting for Keith, the shy tears, the two goodbye scenes. But if I were to pick one thing, it would be the second-to-last panel from page 714, where the appearance of the pupil in her eye suggests that the illusion from the spell is gaining Laura's real soul. This gives hope that Laura exists somewhere.

K_D Lawrence

I think panel 526 (nov 4th 2009) has to be my favorite. I am a huge sucker for seeing a larger area of a world. Though I first found twokinds on 604 during my second last year of highschool.

CaveBacon

Page 1115: "You used me", page 1204 "You're about to be more yourself than you've ever been", page 807: montage of Keith, 916-918 where Adira almost gets vaporized (excellent action scene, emotional roller coaster), pages 940 last three panels, 937 second to last panel, 935: "thud!",pages 932-933, 941, first two panels of 942, 943 especially the panel where Lynn's ears slap Maddie and Kat. All the panels where everyone is looking one way and natani is looking the opposite direction. On a less art side, I loved all the scenes exploring Nat's gender. Flora's immediate acceptance, saying she's heard of people like him from books. The arc where Youngtani explains that he genuinely prefers to be seen as male, it's not a side effect of being linked to Zen. That actually, the only reason Nat sees his younger self as a girl is because that's what Zen thought. I can't find it now but I'm pretty sure there was a page where Nat explicitly tells someone (Kat?) he wants to be referred to as male. There's not a lot of trans masc representation, so it means a lot.

Saberbeam

The fight scenes, especially during the Basitan Island strips, it's fun to see the characters different combat styles in use :) Also anytime a character has that surprised beat panel face, "Actually Keith is in charge now" and moments like that.

Sane

I really like all the panels with Raine because seeing her happy makes me happy. The main thing is that she's always in a good mood, she's cute. For example, page 950 is very nice, I really like Raine's emotions and I don't even know which panel to choose. I can say the same about page 979. And on page 1080 is a very interesting panel where Raine is a bit unclothed. I could say the same about Maren. Her emotions on pages 1089 and 1091 are very cute. Just like all the other pages with her, I really enjoy looking at her and Raine.

Ruska Zann

69 is pretty great. Especially because it features almost the entire cast at that point. 192 Saria says goodbye to Trace the first time. 214-215 Trace dueling Natani and Zen with a little backup from Flora. 478 The beginning of the duel between Keith and Alaric. 684, 685, 686 Raine's wolf form is revealed to the others when she stops the disguised Zen from killing Red. Those are a few of my favorites from the earlier half of the comic

Elzipper 7

Page 569 Flora: Trace and I are... together. Evals: Does he feel the same? Or is it a one-way thing, like with Kat? Kathrine, who is standing right there: H-hey!

Sean O'Brien

526, great moment and imagery

dadrobit

Throwing my page into the mayhem to also vote for page 450. The panel of Keith facing the window and contemplating his orders/ethics is absolutely iconic! Honorable mention to 223 with Trace summoning the black dragon.

Steady Gait

Page 973 - loved the progression of Natani and Kieth's relationship, the joke from Young Natani, and the teasing for both Kieth and the viewer.

Alexander 'Kav' Kashev

I always really liked the scenes around Eric's ship exploding. Page 937 - the last panels with Kat's reaction to Natani's reassuarnce; most of page 941 and "what did I miss" on the previous one.

feralcat52

I've always liked the last 2 panels of 738, particularly the last one where Flora says "I consider falling unconscious to be a form of freaking out." Also the "first kiss" panel is something of a classic, especially the "redeaux" version you did sometime back.

RivCA

I would weigh in, but the fact is, there's nothing I can really contribute to the conversation, here. Sorry for taking up space.

Went Brown

I like the scenes between Trace and Flora particularly the intimate ones

Spotlight Studios

I adore the sequence of Reni reading Trace's memories; the way everything is in fractals and the changing color gradients in the background. Also adore the hidden mask on the far left side, a tiny detail that you can almost not even notice upon first reading! Page 1082 with Flora pouncing Trace is something I go back to over and over again. It's drawn in such a way that you can feel the weight of her body smashing Trace to the ground; how the incoming thumping is foreboding and the detail of her fur still being wet from swimming in the pool. It's just fantastic!

Maine

Guess my annual reading of the entire comic comes early. I usually do it around the anniversary, I shall return

The final panel showing the destruction of the Templar Tower in the Basitin capital.

Blackjack

I loved the femme Mike panels. In an odd way relatable.
