Is information disclosure like mass in this setting? Can't be created or destroyed, has to stay at equilibrium. Because Gwendolyn is trying to keep a secret that's going to get messy at the exact point they might get the disclosure that brings plot threads back together.

Honestly these monsters are scarier because they make themselves known and you can’t do anything about it but wait in fear and dread. It’s like being a deer in the headlights. Stuck in place while you wait for your gruesome end. The fact that they are working together is just eeeesh 👀 also I wonder if Lena was feeding whatever is in that basement to keep it at bay but now that she’s gone it’s getting hungry. It could also be Freddie’s original console just feeding on everything.

My best guess is that Lena or even someone before Lena made the arrangements with the Committee. I fully believe Lena was the one responsible for maintaining the balance of everything because I can see her being that much of a badass in handling that as well as rationalizing that maintaining a balance means working with the monsters
