Once again just pure joy to listen to. It's so fun to listen to passionate people just IMMEDIATELY dive into the nitty-gritty, the mechanics, the obscure facts, the exact names and scenes — and turns out, regardless of my knowledge of the topic! I haven't rewatched the movies in 10 years and it's still just fun and interesting from start to finish to hear people go "okay, so the first fight scene was..." This show is making up for my yearning to hang out with a bunch of friends talking about fandom... It's a wonderful way to round out the week and I really hope it continues after this season! Also April just summed up fandom as a whole with that top quote.

Mike: My favorites are Sam and Treebeard.....You know when Bear Grylls.... Me: Okay, that is not where I expected that to go.

I wanted to write a really thoughtful comment, but LOTR gives me So Many Emotions i can't even begin to formulate something. Listening to you guys is wonderful

The music discussion made me teary, I walked down the aisle to "Concerning Hobbits". <3

The Magnus Archives Was A Comedy

Would it be too much to ask for even more lotr episodes when (if? when) enthusigasm gets renewed for a season 2? You can never have too much lotr imho (in my hobbit opinion)

What I miss and would like to h ave seen: "Now comes the ballad of Nine Fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom"

I really liked this episode -- I loved seeing everyone's different paths in and their different relationships to the films and books. Also Lowri made me VIVIDLY flash back to when the movies were coming out and I was in Jr. High and all my friends were absolutely obsessed. I was also fondly remembering the Very Secret Diaries.

Dr Lou

This has made me want to read Tolkien's letters again.
