Hey everybody, thought I'd take a minute or two to give some love to one of my favourite games, the classic platformer Klonoa. Most people are probably aware of Klonoa in our kind of circles, but I think just how good the original is goes underappreciated on the whole, so here's me to tell you all why it's a banger. Also probably going to pick this game up relatively soon. I definitely would be behind the decision to discuss the games you like more. Obviously this isnt true in every scenario, but i feel like its easier to come up with new and interesting things to say about a piece of art or entertainment when the person actually loves that piece of media. Especially when they are able to understand and articulate what they like about it, its probably easier to come up with a fresh perspectives, especially after taking into account how that thing may have personally or emotionally effected that person. Sure its good to talk about "shitty games", or just specific things a good game did that were shitty, to serve as an example of what not to do; but there are WAY more ways to do something wrong compared to the handful of games that have completed their respective goals fully and completely. This can work great when comparing two works that are extremely similar, but manage to have a high variance in quality for whatever reasons , which is one of the reasons i feel like your ratchet perspective is one of your best videos. Its the same reason why id rather hear you gush on and on about resi 6, metal gear, kingdom hearts, or whatever, but why people started getting annoyed with the god of 4 vids. The first review needed to happen imo (preferably a year or later down the line but thats not what gets views so...) and the rebuttal after was maayyybe justified, but I just think that its a lot easier to just end up rexplainging an earlier point when you just dont "get" it ya know? Or when you just know a games not for you. Time would be better spent giving an example to strive for than a dozen pitfalls to avoid. Regardless, loved the vid. Cant wait for the ninja gaiden vids (and road to the rocketlauncher 4 pretty please??)

Klonoa 1 is a true unsung classic. I hope you end up covering the sequel someday too! it's also pretty great.
