it kinda feels like a lot of people view the idea of dinosaurs as a brand. which can be weird if you look at them as prehistoric animals but can also make a lot more sense if you look at it from the perspective of like video games enemies, like for example hell demons arent a very specific enemy type like goombas or something but if ID Software would make a game when you fight demons and it wouldnt be doom, it would probably throw a lot of people off

I think the main source of concern for that game/why people aren't thinking it's a rad gamey game thing is that I think they said it'll be a games as a service thing. So rather than being a cool linear game where you go through a bunch of cool missions and setpieces you're gonna be repeating dailies and whatever to get loot that'll make you get x% more stats and stuff. Could just be me being cynical, not 100% sure if they confirmed it's GaaS
