“Praise the Lord! Another space movie just as funny as Space Balls!” says Kate above. I love this movie!

Rick Rodriguez

What a great film and a perfect reactor for it!

Phil Stubblefield

Ah, one of the best Star Trek movies ever filmed, as voted by Trekkers themselves! Brilliant casting, especially Ripley herself, Sigourney Weaver, and the sensational Alan Rickman!

Rick Caruso

Yesssss! Kate , thank you so much for a movie. It obviously was making fun of the Trekkie’s and Star Trek, but at no time did or pander to these types of conventions . I think this may be the Greatest Fan Film ever Film ever Created. I remember when people would talk about this movie I wasn’t very interested 8n it as I was not that great a fan of Star Trek when that first came out. Then I saw a documentary about the movie the concept the writing, and it was hilarious and I think pure genius. The actor who played Mathazar played the father on Veronica Mars. Thanks Kate once again You scored a home run with this one.

YAY!!!! This is so much fun. The alien pulse rifles look like huge submarine sandwiches to me.

So stoked I got to watch you watching Galaxy Quest! It's not the most laugh-out-loud funny movie ever made, but it's a comedy that just has you grinning from ear to ear all throughout. The casting is pitch perfect and everyone is just having a blast making it. Supposedly Amazon was looking into doing a Galaxy Quest series, until the death of Alan Rickman, at which point it was abandoned. Just one of the many reasons losing him was such a blow for the entertainment world. You ought to do some Star Trek reactions in the future!

rubberkidney

hey can we can some trek reactions? would be awesome, 1000% would grow your channel. gotta full commit though.

very natural star wars reference...you just laid it out like it was always there. also i was watching your master commander reaction and i loved the 'they are kind of in the same boat' comment. not entirely sure if intentional but i had a sensible chuckle. dont think you will see the youtube comment i made. you had a ton of comments on that vid.

“To infinity, and beyond!” Yeah…I said it out loud as I was starting the movie myself. How funny would it have been if Commander Taggart sprouted plastic wings behind his jacket. That was so much fun…I love to hear that jolly, throaty laugh of yours. This movie is definitely a love letter to Star Trek and Trekkies. I’m not a Trekkie myself, but I certainly appreciate the impact Star Trek had on pop culture…this movie being just a small sample. There were many nods to moments either in the series or the movies. From the characters themselves to certain scenes throughout the film…even the NSEA Protector’s serial number, NTE-3120, where NTE stands for Not The Enterprise. I also loved the hairdos given to The Thermians. I imagine that’s what The Beatles would like if they were aliens. One of my favorite scenes is how the crowd at the convention reacts when they thought the ship crashing through the building, and the evil alien leader (can’t remember his name) emerging from the ship is all part of the package. I’ve never been to a Star Wars convention or an MCU convention, but I imagine if I were to go and something like that actually happened, I’d totally geek out myself. Before I sign off, I have a favor to ask of you. Going forward, can you PLEASE begin each intro to a reaction mimicking Mathesar’s voice? 🤣🤣🤣 I’m still laughing as I’m typing this. Catch ya lata Kate.

Yes, Galaxy Quest is definitely a favourite of mine. As a lifelong Trekker, I’ve always thought this movie was made just for me. Great seeing your reaction. And perfect timing, this weekend is our local convention (FanExpo Vancouver) and it always reminds me of this film.
