I literally just walked through the door after a loooong day at work when the notification for your reaction popped up on my phone. I guess the old saying is true…every dark cloud has a silver lining. And here you are , providing that silver lining. It’s time to go back to Back to the Future so we can go back to the past to save the present from a disastrous future! 🥵🤯 So could this be the start of sequels month on MDwK? Inquiring minds want to know!

This was great. It has been so long since I saw this a true blast from the past. I wonder if you noticed that one of Biff’s 3 henchmen was none other than. Billy Zane of Titanic fame. Also on a personal note I loved hearing you sing a bit of Mr Sandman by the Chordettes. When I was about two my parents bought me the 45 of that song because I was a good boy and used the potty chair. I asked my parents to play that song over and over until the record wore out. Anyway that song played a special memory for me that I never forgot. It has always remained one of my favorite songs. And that was 69 years ago. Wow! Thanks again for a great night at the movies. Great Scott! I'm so happy you've decided to continue watching the BTTF trilogy. I still vaguely remember watching this in theaters as a kid. It was so mind blowing at the time. They really missed the mark on what they thought the future would look like. Still fun to see though. Can't wait to see your reaction to part III.

What a ride!! And what a sequel!! Honestly, to this day, I’m still on the fence about how the first part of the movie in the future played out. I liked the cool futuristic gadgets and the vision of what the director and writer thought 2015 might look like. But it felt like Thomas F Wilson was overacting the role of Griff, who was totally over the top crazy. I was okay with Michael J Fox playing the older version of Marty and his son, but I could have done without him also playing his daughter. But by the time Marty and Doc go back to 1985, the movie really took off from there. Now, I just look at the future part of the movie as a necessary step to get to the meat of the plot. You said it a few times and you hit the nail on the head…the storyline for this movie is very clever, and the way some of the best parts of the first movie are interwoven with the events of this movie was ingenious. And to see those parts of the first movie from the perspective of Marty and Doc from this timeline is just amazing. Back to the Future II and III were filmed back to back, which is what allowed the producers to include a teaser trailer for Part III at the end of Part II, which was a great marketing strategy. I don’t think you recognized her, but the actress who plays Jennifer is Elizabeth Shue, who also played Ali in The Karate Kid. And she was not the original actress who played Jennifer in the first movie. Which means the had to shoot the opening scene with Elizabeth Shue as Jennifer to match the end scene from Back to the Future shot for shot. Another example of how amazing the production of this movie is. Oh…and don’t worry about seeing that scene from A Fistful of Dollars with Clint Eastwood. You can always borrow the DeLorean from Doc and go back in time to unsee it 😉.

I reached my Biff Tannen saturation point in the first one.
