You can vote for as many movies as you like, so pick everything you’d be happy to see me react to. (The runner-ups are useful too, since they help me gauge which movies people would like to see in future polls or reactions)

A few obvious titles are missing because we’ve already covered them on the channel, and this isn’t meant to be a definitive “best 80s sci-fi movies” list. I just wanted a solid group of options that could realistically make for a future reaction.

I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion but I would like to see RoboCop The Director Cut and/or The Abyss Special Edition. However any version would be great to watch along.

I mean, can't go wrong with any of them although the top 3 are stellar. The Abyss is my absolute favourite and it needs to be watched the Director's Cut or Special Edition version, that runs 2 hours and 51 minutes. The theatrical was cut down because the studio didn't think people could last beyond 2 hours in the 80's. But the DC is James Cameron's intended version and absolutely a better version.

So glad The Abyss is winning. From a filmmaking standpoint alone it’s a must see, but it’s just a great thrill ride with great performances, turbulent production aside.

C'mon Robocop 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Any of the top 3 on the poll would make for fantastic reactions and would be really fun to watch along with you. I think you already know Robocop is a Paul Verhoeven movie, and you’ve seen Starship Troopers, so you know what to expect there…except I think Robocop adds a little more human drama to the plot. The Abyss. James Cameron directing…Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Scarface), and Michael Biehn (clearly a James Cameron favorite) are the leads. Enough said. And The Fly. Jeff Goldblum becoming the star that he is now. A “jaw dropping” remake of the original film from 1958. If this doesn’t win this poll, then please consider giving it a watch in October for the Spooky Season. Love the polls you put together, Kate. Keep ‘em coming!

Triple-ditto on the Abyss Special Edition, if that gets picked.

All good but the Abyss has the ground breaking visuals

Robocop and The Abyss, two of my favorite cult classics. Robocop is over the top and The Abyss is down right mesmerizing. Why? "Because James Cameron is.....James Cameron!" 😄

I missed this but I would like to give a shout out to They Live and RoboCop.
