I don't think I ever used the word impossible; I don't use that word with Luke. Because even if he says something is too much work, he may still end up doing it anyways 😜 I usually say something like "unlikely" or "really unlikely" or something along those lines. My wife has told me more than once that I am unbelievable 😅

Maybe now that the vulkan api is working will we hopefully be seeing some older titles that we know will run maxxed out on our modern hdw in vr? I know of some certain 'Stein' games that vould be wunderbar in vr.... 😇🙏

Before Indy was announced, I was on here with the intent to ask if AERv3 might be possible. In Luke's original AERv2 post there was an indication that he had tried AER1/4 and AER 1/6 with some improvements to be possible. I wondered: with all the hype about multi-frame generation, and my own attempts to add it in manually using SSW on MQ3 (it works, but has significant artifacts), I thought perhaps it could be requested directly with the great man when possible? Perhaps even just an assurance that AER1/4 and AER1/6 "is always terrible in every situation on every game and headset" would suffice, and I assumed this was the case for a while until I tried the SSW trick + 120hz. The PPD I can get with SSW+AER+120hz is incredible - perhaps only to be used with 120hz and a high res headset. You see, I have a date with the Pimax Super (if she doesn't stand me up again), and she's all about PPD. She doesn't mind latency and low FPS. (Ooof this is hitting too close to my real dating life...). Just thought I'd ask and thought it'd be a cool/appropriate addition with the release of the 50-series and the naturally demanding nature of all these ray-traced-always games such as Outlaws, Indy and so on. Naturally it might need to come with a disclaimer about the nature of AER1/4 and AER1/6 as being perhaps experimental, dangerous and generally not a good idea, but so should dating. Thanks for taking us to other worlds!

Hey Brandon, I just fired up High On Life for the first time in VR. For some reason there's no slider showing up in the REAL VR Mod to adjust the resolution and it's set really, really low right now. Any ideas on how I can fix or adjust it?

It has custom resolutions added into the games settings. Just pick one from there.

I do have the ability to try it in one of the testing builds but I find 1/3 very bothersome to my brain. I don't remember liking 1/4 either but haven't tried it in a long time. I'll try to give it a shot after things slow down a bit. I'll let you know. I'm probably not a good candidate for testing it though 😃

I haven't played much flat games since getting into VR a year ago. But this mod has definitely changed that, allowing me to utilize my RTX 4090 that's been collecting dust (I use it for work, 3d modelling and rendering etc, but hardly use it for gaming) I can't wait to try Indiana Jones and experience it for the first time inside the game!!!

I finished this at launch in 1 sitting took me around 18 hours i just couldnt put it down and loved every second. Always knew id have a second playthrough at some point and now what a perfect reason to head back in, literally cannot wait Thank you so much Luke for all your continued hard work and Brandon great job on the new video []-D

I don't know about that. I think we have to see how well it works with UEVR first. If it works with native rendering especially, there is not much point in doing another mod for it. There are so many other games outside of Unreal Engine that would be awesome. I am excited for that game in VR and I'd like a Luke Ross version with DLSSS but it could also just be a big waste depending....🤷‍♂️ If it doesn't worth with UEVR I could see him giving it a shot :) But again, seems unlikely 😅

Wait, that means Doom 2016, Doom Eternal and the upcoming Doom could be playable in VR too, right? If Luke adds those games. I know Helifax released his early version of the 6dof implementation for Doom Eternal but it's not fully there yet. But if idTech7 games would run and display better with the Real Mod.

I’ve played both mods—UEVR and Luke Ross’s VR mod—and for FF7 Intergrade, Luke Ross’s VR mod was far superior compared to UEVR. That’s why I’m hoping to experience FF7 Rebirth with the best possible quality and immersion!

Oh trust me, there is no part of me that does not believe it is real and Luke will deliver it, but there is a part of me that was so full of wonderment watching these movies as a kid that getting a flat screen game that allowed me to step into the world already felt magical. The fact that I'll get to "literally" step into this world, in a time scale much earlier than I ever would have anticipated a few years ago, primarily due to the efforts of a single modder, is just so additionally mind-blowing on top of it that it becomes hard to believe even though I know it's 100% real haha

I'll stick to my 4090 too for the time being. Raw power isn't enough atm to justify the price and as long as FG or the new Multi FG not working in VR the 4090 should be fine for now. :)

DLSSS is just an algorithm or adjustment to DLSS to get it working better with AER.

Doom Eternal already has a VR mod Helifax is the modder who made the mod and works great. Check the Flat2VR discord channel also there is Wolfenstein 2 mod.

I know I even covered on my channel. It's working nice but not perfect. You can feel it's some 3D screen trickery as looking around feels odd. Better than VorpX by a mile but not perfect either. A good way to experience Doom in VR for sure but I actually would prefer Lukes approach for that.

Hi. I just installed the latest verison of the mod (16.2.1) to Indiana Jones but the game doesnt run in HMD. Iam on Pimax Crystal and i tried Cyberpunk 2077 (older mod version) and it works fine. I did everything as said in the video tutorial above. PLEASE HELP. Thanx
