the music during the sa/cassie scenes werent supposed to give party and fun. we were cutting back and forth between 2 diff sides of sex work, cassie selling her soul for content and at the club kitty getting r*ped. the music being eerily out of place was supposed to put viewers at a discomfort on purpose to not make it seem like this is fun and good.

when ppl say its a diff show i dont really understand because this is just the grown up scenarios of what they were doing in high school only now theres no pretty lights and glitter/cute music to make everything seem ok. s1 ep 1 jules was selling herself to an older man, previous seasons rue was the drug addict. now shes on the side of selling the drugs and being the problem due to her mistakes being an addict, lexi was always a good student and is thriving now, cassie has been an empty blonde who got/craved attention for her body and now is doing that through only fans + marrying a rich man living an unhappy life. most things line up imo

The music is indeed horrible, been enjoying the season but the music is throwing me off, I think they had to scramble since Labrinth pulled out last minute, his music fasho woulda made those scenes 10x better

Having this rendition of Ave Maria play throughout the episode was a choice. Of ALL the operatic things to pick, you choose the most overused? I know Hans Zimmer has his opinions on orchestras as a powerful, evolving tool that should also blend with technology, but his track record isn't showing it. I suspect he had to change a lot behind the scenes, and maybe that's why Labrinth left, but Hans chose to stay for whatever reason, maybe they offered more money, idk who knows, but I feel like the music was jumbled on purpose and maybe Hans wrote music for the "artistic scenes" and Labrinth did the rest. idk this is a mess in ALL categories. Season 1 had mess with the visuals and questionable stuff, obviously, then Season 2 got a lil more wild and gave us something to look forward to, even if it wasn't the same as waiting for Season 2. And then we're in season 3, where there's no art involved with the camera work, the framing of scenes is giving a dramatic sitcom, the script is just jumbled plot points that connect when it feels convenient for the plot, it feels like we have a whole bunch of spin-off shows that are fighting for the top viewership. I like everyone separate but not together...I don't care for Nate and Cassie lols
