EXTENDED DUE DATE: JULY 2026 Patreon musical challenge: a genre you've *never* tried before (Patreon)

UPDATE: I've been asked for an extension by enough of y'all that I'm granting it! You have an additional month to work on this challenge since it's a hefty one. New due date is August 31st at midnight wherever you are in the world. Yah that's right! You are tasked with making a track (or unfinished idea) in a genre that is a distinct departure from what you usually do. You don't have to know the name of the genre. But I'd like you to pick a sound that is distinctly different or even feels like the opposite of what you usually make. If you don't know what you usually make, feel free to drop links to some of your music in #i-made-this on the Discord channel and the community can tell you what you are ;) The challenge is not to succeed in this objectively, it's just to get you out of your comfort zone and try something new!
