Nico and the Niners pulls you straight into the heart of the Trench storyline — rebellion, identity, and the courage to walk away from the systems that try to contain you. The music video blends symbolism and storytelling in a way that makes the whole world feel bigger: escape, resistance, and the quiet strength it takes to choose freedom.

Thanks for taking this journey with me and for supporting these deeper dives. We’re eating good. 🍽️🎶

He was taken back to Dema at the end of jumpsuit. Nico is dragging him back as the video ends. The things the Bishops are making are neon gravestones. I love how in this video we really see the symbolism of the two sides of the fight in the form of the natural light and heat of the torches of the Banditos vs the cold artifical neon light of Dema.

Other fun fact is that the band will be performing at the All Points East festival in London next year. Coincidence? I think not.

I was always under the impression that order of those x3 MVs are almost irrelevant as Clancy/Tyler has tried to escape and escaped multiple times 😳

Notice Tyler is a little worried about seeing the Banditos at first.. still not sure if they’re going to help him until Josh does the handshake with him. And yes it’s the same one from Stressed Out! I’ve seen others say it has 21 moves to it. I love how the coat, drumsticks, and mic all fly to them during the reversed lyrics. So cool!

At the end of Jumpsuit, even though Clancy tried to run away from Nico, he stumbled, got caught and Nico brought him back to Dema. One of the last frames was Clancy laying on the ground holding the yellow flowers he then put in the drawer in this video. I love the scene with the kids at the end who found the jacket. In the journals on dmaorg Clancy wrote that he thought the banditos were only a myth. By leaving something behind Clancy shows the citizens that there IS something out there. There is something worth fighting for and you can get out. A fun little detail about this video is, that the clock on desk is showing the time 6:18 which corresponds to Josh‘s birthday june 18th!
