Levitate feels like the moment everything in the Trench story tightens — the pace, the tension, the stakes. The music video drops you right into the middle of that world with no hesitation. It’s sharp, rhythmic, and full of movement, almost like the song itself is pushing the story forward.

There’s a real intensity here, and watching it in the context of the other videos makes the whole narrative hit even harder.

Thanks for being here and walking through each chapter with me.We’re eating good. 🍽️🎶

His jumpsuit will cover him, but it can't fully protect him from backsliding. If you read the lyrics to Levitate you will see that he starts out braggy and confident - he's with the Banditos in their camp in Trench he made it out. But as the song goes on in the lyrics he starts to doubt himself and as those doubts creep in, so can Nico, until ultimately, Nico can drag him back to Dema and all that represents. The Banditos have a positive view of vultures, but vultures do have another role in Lore. They are the only creatures who can be both in Dema and in Trench and the Bishops take advantage of that as you will see soon.

Iced and Scaly 🤩🤣

Make it with Alex

An easy way to remember Scaled and icy is the initials are SAI which is what the logo is… the letters are also an anagram of ‘Clancy is Dead’

It‘s so devastating how everything seems to be going so well. Clancy found his people, he‘s one of the banditos, surrounded by people and still Nico finds him and drags him back. I love love love the whole metaphor of Trench. I feel so seen with this story, so understood. Sometimes i also wonder if anything will ever get better, if my life is just about being in this dark place like Clancy is wondering if Dema might be his home afterall. Sometimes i mistrust the people around me when my depression gets the better of me just like Clancy is unsure of the banditos when he first sees them in the Nico and the Niners mv. Sometimes i am surrounded by my friends and loved ones and still the depressing thoughts get ahold of me just like with Clancy in this mv. And of course getting better is not linear, i feel better for a few weeks and then fall back into something dark. I climb my way out of it just to fall into a deeper hole the next time. And that goes on and goes on. What makes this metaphor so brilliant is that it is so real. Trench isn’t just a beautiful place where Clancy can live peacefully once he made it out. It’s rocky and a hard place to be in. Dema sometimes feels easier to deal with for Clancy. And still he tries and he tries and he tries. The cycles they show are brutal but it’s the reality and i appreciate that so much. Btw Iced and Scaly made me laugh out loud. It’s a pretty lore heavy era as a whole, so plenty to look forward to!

There‘s some fun behind the scenes videos for the 3 lore videos btw!

I love the little fist bump that Tyler and Josh do on beat. Did you notice the Heavydirtysoul car is burning in the middle of the Bandito Camp?

I agree, this song is soooo cool! It sounds phenomenal with headphones on. One of my favorites! I am absolutely loving Trench and I'm so glad you started this journey so I could start it too! I've been playing catch-up with all your content. I fell behind as it's been a hectic week with illness currently in our house and the holiday season! Looking forward to gaining some insight!
