Jules

Ok, here's my purely personal interpretation of the video for Head Over Feet - I feel like she's having a conversation with the man she's in love with as it's very up close and intimate. Sometimes she says what she's thinking, other times she just keeps those things to herself, as thoughts and doesn't say them to him, but is just listening to or just smiling and happy. It's representing how a real conversation goes in that stage of a relationship when you are starting to share how you feel more, but don't want to say too much too soon. And sometimes she busts out a harmonica. Like you do when you're sharing feelings with your boo. 😆

James Jackson

I'd really love your perspective on her acoustic performances on Howard Stern. They are indcredible because it is just her and 2 acoustic guitarists and her harmonica.

You said you love the 90's and I think the poll delivered on that. I do want to let ya know that there was a "secret song" on this album. If you let the last track play after the music stopped there was a few minutes of silence and then this song played: https://youtu.be/GAR-Bcs0PH4?si=6pYuPiLT_mDMkpn1 It's an emotional one and one of my favorites bc its so raw. I'm in my 40's and this album got me through some rough teenage years. It's a cd I had to buy more than once after it getting scratched up in my cd walkman lol The most "ironic" thing is I now Sing Head over Feet to my husband all the time ❣️ She featured on a DMB song: Spoon I keep dreaming she'll show up as a special guest one year at the Gorge for LaborDAVE weekend.

I know that's right. In my 78 times of seeing DMB live, I always wished she would have made an appearance!

This album was just so huge back when it hit. Since you just discovered The Warning you should check out their cover of You Ought to Know. Even though they are young, they were raised listening to rock classics

I was such a fan of hers in the 90’s. And now I’m a huge Aurora fan. I hadn’t thought about this before. But apparently I like artists who are lyrically brilliant, and unapologetically themselves. Authenticity is everything to me. Both Alanis and Aurora have never allowed the music industry to shape them, or control the art they make. They’ve both maintained control of their own journeys. I love that.

OP probably meant the 2015 visit, it was for the JLP20 anniversary, the same promo cycle from the interview you watched in this post! :) it is a great performance.

The AIRW video definitely was official, but it was only released/played as a single in Europe, and uses clips from all her other videos (including the “rare” You Learn (Live) video).
