That was fun! I hadn’t seen a lot of those performances. I think the consensus about “I got id” is that the real title is “I Got Shit”, but they couldn’t get it played on the radio with that title. Supposedly, it’s about his stalker. Her name was He(id)i. If you read the lyrics again it sounds like it could definitely be from her point of view. Other people can correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank you. That was so much fun. Great playlist. So many memories 🙂❤️ PJ so much.

Sorry, I couldn’t decide between the versions of STBC and I Got Id to include, so thought you might just blindly pick one 😂. Starting with Yield and going into the 2000s they did start releasing fully produced concert and album docs which are really enjoyable.

Hil

I had never heard that! Interesting. I do absolutely love that song.

Jules

Nice curating Hil!

It’s just a theory, so take it with a grain of salt. It makes sense to me, though. Thanks for putting all of that together! For No Code did you put in fast and slow Lukin? 😊

Hil

Oh you bet I did, haha

Hil

Julie, I think I did pretty well with No Code, but if you have a recommendation for "In My Tree", I'd love to hear it.

I’m partial to the one at MSG in 2003, but that’s probably the most popular version on YT.

you should start looking into some B sides and songs that didn't make it onto the record you listened to as well. There is a surprising amount of great stuff that doesn't make it on the albums!

Jaci

This was great! I love so many of these songs, especially Nothingman and Immortality. Do you know when you'll post the content for No Code?

If that Not For You was at Jones Beach NY, then I was there :). I saw 3 shows in NY and 2 in MA that tour. Before every show they were registering people to vote and playing RATM’s Testify before the opening act went on. Great shows all, but I was just happy that they stayed together after the tragedy at Roskilde.

If I ever run into Ed at a CVS or something I imagine I would say, “ hey, I know you. You’re the accordion player in that band Pearl Jam.” :)
