Erinnyes

Wonderful chapter. Harry very much needed some humanization, and this was good for that. Hoping to see more character growth from him.

Oh yes! The Lord Black raises!!!

Kuronokishi

As I recall, Harry's grandmother was neé Black. Hence, the Black family magic has accepted Harry as Lord Black. Black family had Parseltongue speakers in the past. I assume in this timeline, Harry inherited Parseltongue ability from his Black bloodline. Alternatively, it could be Peverell bloodline. I guess Voldemort will indirectly guide Harry to discover his ancestorial heritage. The Potters, the Blacks, the Peverell have always been powerful magical families. Alas, it was never explored in original canon.

Fantastic chapter!!! Looking forward to the next chapter!!

Maybe, Harry will discover and befriend Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets in his first year in this timeline thanks to his Parseltongue ability. It would so cool if he summons Basilisk to fight Voldemort.

Elias

this is intersting, cold and calculating while still caring at least somewhat but able to explain in to his housemates in a way they will accept and not look further into

I think, by ordering Quirrell to test Harry, Voldemort would help Harry to find the legacy of Salazar Slytherin. I believe the book that Quirrell would use to test Harry is the book, written by Salazar Slytherin himself. Hence, Harry would discover true legacy of the Founders on his path to greatness.

Incredible chapter once again. I loved the characterization in this story especially when it comes to Harry and man that image with Quirrel at the end very symbolic in how his own body is not even his own anymore it belongs to Voldemort and he is just hanging by his neck. Excited to see where this goes next and hopefully the basilisk gets to live in this story as I've always enjoyed when various authors keep the basilisk alive rather than kill it. Harry stealing it away from Voldemort would be a way for him to one up good old Tom Riddle.

The rule of unintended consequences is waiting for Professor Quirrell to set it in motion.

Stereotypes may get people killed. Many people seem to think that to be in Slytherin is to be a cold, cunning, heartless monster. The fact that a number of them are currently in Slytherin indicates a very real fault in their understanding of people, especially themselves. Cunning does not require the other words listed above. Similarly, to be in Gryffindor does not immediately make a person a good and decent soul, only that the person can be bold and daring. I could go on but I expect you all can fill in the descriptions of the other houses easily enough.

I once again wish I could just snap my fingers and be able to read the complete story, but alas I'll be here waiting for the next chapter
