Great Fun...in my opinion the best SFX in the movie is when Janosh is walking in the dark hallway and his eyes are working as flashlights and turning perfecrly with his head when he looks around. I wonder how long it took to get like that.

You may know this (I have not watched the reaction yet), but if you DON'T... do yourselves a favor and, uh, don't google what the guy who plays Vigo got up to later in life...

SHE'S A HARBOR CHICK! I saw this one before the original, so it's my sentimental favorite. That lady's mink coat coming to life KILLS me. No argument that the first is a stronger movie, but I've always had a soft spot for 2. I also really enjoyed the 2016 movie. (No idea about the more recent ones as I haven't seen them.) Also, the guy with the really cool hair that plays the Mayor's doorman is former R&B star Bobby Brown (who used to be married to Whitney Houston). His song "On Our Own" is playing in the scene he's in.

Needed an “eww” counter in this video, lol

guys I highly recommend "Ghostbusters The Videogame" from 2009, it even got a remaster for the newer consoles a few years ago, it is even written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis (just like the movies) and it's great, it like a singleplayer first person shooter that make you feel like a Ghostbuster and really adds lore to the franchise, you can even explore their whole headquarters. the whole casts returns to voice their characters in the game too (thats even the case in the german version). sadly pretty underrated game.

I feel like you have been reading YouTube comments less often (or maybe just not liking as many), so I'll put this in both places: while I'm holding my breath, as a lifelong Ghostbusters fan who is excited that you seem to be proceeding through the series, I will break from what I assume will be the norm and recommend you give the 2016 movie a shot. It's always a shame to me when reactors skip over that one, it's also fun and an interesting, different take on the series, and I wish more channels would complete the whole franchise by watching that one (even if you wait until after you watch Afterlife and potentially this year's Frozen Empire in order to stick to the one storyline before seeing the reboot, which is its own thing). Also, of the two versions of the 2016 movie, both have their pluses and minuses. I think I've actually come to think the shorter theatrical would be the better choice, although I'd take either one.

speaking of Peter MacNicol, you all need to watch Dragonslayer from 1981! Great flick, with pre cgi dragons that still look good today

Bill Murray just like Dan Aykroyd came both from SNL back in the 70s

Trevor Rotan

That guy with the awesome hair was Bobby Brown, RNB singer(the song in the credits and throughout the movie), and former husband of Whitney Houston.

bfunk3778

Just skip the reboot with Kristen Wiig. Go right to Ghostbusters Afterlife with Paul Rudd.

Anders

Insert a ”Jesus” count 😀

A Red Mage Named Blue

This makes me wonder if they've seen "Dracula: Dead and Loving it"

Robert Elliott

This is still a good movie, not as good as the original movie. For Simone a vary young Peter Macnicol is in a movie called Dragonslayer which has the best dragon put to film in my opinion. You need to check this one out.

This the best what have you done for us lately movie. Cleared the city of ghosts. How passé

Happy Hanukkah

10:21 That's why they hired Ernie Hudson, duh! 14:56 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16y1AkoZkmQ 15:35 "She cleaned..." And I can't find anything! 17:25 Come now, George, have you already forgotten your vacation in Spain? 22:49 "Bubble gum." What a save!!! :-) 26:03 They got it together, didn't they?

Stan the Man

I’ve never understood the whole “why don’t people believe” criticism of GB2. Only a few people mention they don’t believe in the movie & they are all villains. The city clearly supports them. And it’s completely realistic. People still don’t think we went to the moon! Some people think the earth is flat! I’ve never understood why it’s such a major criticism for people.

Stan the Man

One of the twins that played the baby Oscar unfortunately struggled with mental health & suffered from schizophrenia. He took his own life.

ShoNuff3000

Did Simone get married? I thought I saw a wedding band.

ShoNuff3000

That doorman with the awesome hair was not Millie Bobbie Brown.

While making the effect likely wouldn’t be that difficult to accomplish, back then, they’d likely have to do it frame by frame. So at the very least, it took time and attention to detail. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually done to the film master itself, like they used to do with the phaser effects in the original Star Trek.

Jeff K

Just curious, are you guys gonna potentially do Fallout (for a future "short series" poll)? Since you guys are both into gaming, I'm gonna assume one (or both) of you has at least dabbled in one or more of the Fallout games. I'm four episodes in and really, really enjoying it, and as a fan of the games, it's fully delivering for me while not hammering the fan service over my head.

Ginger

Having finished it today, I agree, you'd probably like it a lot

I didn't know that Vigo was dubbed until you mentioned the trivia note, but it's not the first time an On Set actor was unaware that their voice would be dubbed in post-production. The most famous incident that I know of was the original "Star Wars". David Prowse, who played Darth Vader, wasn't told that he would be dubbed over, either. This was one of the things that soured his relationship with the crew for the later films, since he was furious when he learned it later. Exactly HOW bad the relationship got is very widely reported. He returned for both sequels, but by the time of "Return of the Jedi" they used his stunt double for a lot of non-stunt acting to limit the amount of time they actually had to work with Prowse on-set.

Simon Pegged Me

My favorite Bill Murray movies are 1979's Meatballs, which, like Ghostbusters II, was directed by Ivan Reitman, and 1998's Rushmore. I hope you'll react to one or both of them one day. Also, in that first shot of Janine, doesn't she remind you of a red headed Edna Mode?

Colin Reid

You should watch the 2016 Ghostbusters where the GBs are women. Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist.

Tyler Foster

Rushmore is great, although really, I'd be happy to see almost any additional Wes Anderson on the channel.

Dan Holmes

In 2016 the Worst Ghostbusters film was released lol

Lachlan Caldwell

The 2016 Ghostbusters movie (better known as Paul Feig's trainwreck) is a movie you should avoid at all costs (unless you're reviving Cinecringe) There is a YouTube video that does a side-by-side comparison of how bad this movie is when compared to the original. There were some very clever elements in the first third of the movie, but these were over-shadowed by the incredibly bad rest of the movie. I remember thinking of Chris Hemsworth's character; "There is no way a person could be this DUMB, and manage to survive to adulthood." Later that year, Donald Trump ramped up his presidential campaigning and I was forced to re-evaluate that assessment.

I am still looking for my Janine Melnitz, dream girl status. I was like 12 oe 13 when this came out and it was rad. I am glad you 2 seemed to enjoy it even though lots of folks give it shit for being so corny.
