Oh George, you rascal. (Part of me likes to believe it was an intentional troll job: that one dude has been begging for you guys to watch Paul for literally years... it finally gets here, and... SURPRISE! Just kidding, here's "Her" again.)

TomGas2025

We forgive you! 😉😅

Balmung

You need to watch Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, it's amazing and is one of the things referenced in this movie

Henry Sanchez

S Tier Jason Bateman Comedy… GAME NIGHT!

ShittyShittyGameGang

So was the name that couldn't be said "I can't say this or I'll be demonitized" or was that my shoutout? Or someone else with a demonitizeable name?

Cinebinge

yeaaaah... YT has a weird rule where we cant say any of the major swear words in the first 2 and last 2 minutes of each video 😅

Okay, the fact that you guys love Bill Hader so much makes me want to legit cry that "Barry" wasn't on your recent TV poll. One of the best shows I've ever seen ... and only 4 seasons of 8 episodes each, and all only about 25 minutes long. The best thing Bill's ever done and definitely confirmed his greatness as a director/actor/writer. Is there someone I can kill for you to get you to watch it soon?? Okay, maybe not 'kill' but slightly annoy? Just let me know who and I'll get on that.

HeyHeyJK

Yeah, totally agree. That whole final sequence had so many visual references to both CE3K and E.T. Plus, it's one of the great sci-fi films and one of Spielberg's greatest films (in a pretty long list of great films).

So the confusion over the Lorenzo Zoil joke: there's a movie from the '90s called Lorenzo's Oil (directed by, in his incredibly eclectic resume, George Miller). Also, I'm a little surprised you guys didn't catch the Han Solo/Star Wars reference with Jason Bateman (unless it was in the full length) when he shoots the radio. That's a direct reference/quote from Star Wars when they're on the Death Star rescuing Leia, Han is trying to bullshit through a conversation on the radio with someone, shoots the radio, and says, "Boring conversation anyway." Another Star Wars reference: in the redneck bar where the giant brawl breaks out, the background music is a country version of the music that's playing in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

A nice touch is when her dad shoots out the mailbox when they're escaping like in Back to the Future...

Harry Fieldson

I think I forgot from the first time I watched this how unbelievably stacked this movie's cast is??? what the hell

John McLeod

You definitely need to watch The X-files.

Rachel W

The tag line of this film is Ready for a Close Encounter yet they haven't seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind yet?!!

REDR58

I get the Photoshop for the picture here but young Simone on older Sigourney Weaver‘s body looks really strange! Also, what’s going on with her eyes?? 🤪

Will Sofer

While X-Files is a decent show, it is an *extremely* slow burn, and I’d say 90% of it is either true “filler” episodes, or case-of-the-week type episodes. This was the 90s and early 2000s, when serialized shows were really just starting to become more of a thing. Most of it is an almost purely episodic format, with most episodes unrelated to the main story. It’s your choice as to whether you want to react to it, of course, but you might wanna keep that in mind, as it’s over 200 episodes. I stopped watching it a couple of times when it was airing because they almost never gave any “answers”, and it seemed like they were intentionally stringing viewers along.

Helly R

Can't wait to see Hader the big time film director. I believe he's working on something.

Helly R

X-Files is great but there's 200 episodes of it and it falls off hard after s7/s8. s3/s4 is some of the best sci-fi out there.

Michael Kea

That's what I was waiting for, now I can cancel my subscription 😜!! Love it so much!! Love you guys!!

REDR58

Yeah I would look for a best of list or something. There is a LOT of it.

CarolynK

The X-Files!!!! yes!

Robert Cooper

Re: Jason Bateman -- Highly recommend "Office Christmas Party". It is way better than it has any right to be, and it is all because the cast is amazing.

Ben Rogers

A good Jason Bateman comedy is Game Night! I highly recommend

Shannanr

bruh gotta watch xfiles

Sergio Meira

I think X-Files is a good show, but, in the same genre, I am much more of a fun of Fringe. If you're in doubt, I'd prefer watching Fringe to X-files; I think it's much better done plotwise and the characters are more interesting (I find Mulder and Scully too will-they-or-won't-they for my taste in the initial seasons; Fringe, on the other hand, has both an interesting 'crazy professor' in Walter Bishop, an interesting evolving father-son relationship, a love story, and a deep damaged/growing character in Agent Dunham). I will admit both X-Files and Fringe have some very interesting ideas for monster-of-the-week episodes.

Sergio Meira

While talking about shows, since you've already watched Firefly, why not continue exploring the Whedonverse with Buffy/Angel, or lesser known but still quite interesting series like The Dollhouse?

FischerMax98

Would definitely be there for some Fringe reactions. And here is an oddball request.. Once Upon A Time.

Mr. J

Please watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 🙂

Stephen S

I am here once again, once again x2 requesting Big Fish (2002) and The count of Monte Cristo (2002)
