djKENTO

just popped in the 4k blu-ray. Let’s do this!

Odd Thomas

Another great movie about a parent being a surprise badass: The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)

Dazzler & Em

haven't watched the reaction yet but could there be two more different facial expressions as they watch the film🤣🤣

Itbewhatitbe

i was about to say lmao. it perfectly encapsulates cinebinge in so many ways. Simone feels the feelings and George sees the humor.

Wirenfeldt

yes! this lets me pull out my favorite line in many, many years.. Nobody helped Bob Odenkirk when he suffered a heart attack!

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

The bus fight in this is everything - funny, brutal, well choreographed and built up so well. Gotta love Odenkirk for taking on something unexpected and crushing it. Can’t wait for the sequel - hope they’ll call it “Nobodies” or I lose ten bucks to a mate haha

TomGas2025

What a coincedence...just waiting for my lasagne to be ready to eat...now I know what i am going to watch with it. 😁👍

Brazilian_Rebel

Please add the Bad Boys franchise to your Action poll !!!

Tenn Seven

In this movie, "Hutch" is just the character's first name. In "Starsky and Hutch," "Hutch" is short for the characters last name, "Hutchinson". Also, the off-suit 7 and 2 on Hutch's wrist is the worst hand you can get in a poker game with 2 hole cards. I assume it's some kind of military special forces tattoo (can't remember if the movie eventually explains it or not).

Senec

Right? Remember when Shang-Chi came out, and people were crowing about the bus fight? I was like "bitch, please. Watch Nobody and then talk to me about a bus fight scene."

Grandalf

6 minutes in and I have to get on here and say, "I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE!". Best adjective for this film: FUN.

djKENTO

also love how much you guys were like “this took so much from John Wick” but it’s the same writer. Great reaction all around. Fantastic time.

Odd Thomas

For more Christopher Lloyd you have to watch The Addams Family and Addams Family Values!

Prof. Writhms

Bob Odenkirk trained so hard for this awesome movie. It was a shame it was released during the pandemic and not many people went to see it. It deserves more attention like this! 👍

FWPJR.

This is a great movie, so I can’t wait to watch this reaction and see what you two think about it. I actually like it better than any of the John Wick movies, I’m probably in the minority on that one lol I do like the Wick movies though, but I just enjoyed this movie more.

FWPJR.

I love those movies, I still watch them every Halloween. Plus they bring back memories of my childhood.

beecroft adams

The addams family with Christopher Illoyd is a must see.

Shaka, When the Walls Fell

That movie was such a breath of fresh air during the fairly stale period of Hollywood offerings.

Alex

Great movie, and as always great reaction. Nobody 2 will apparently start filming from August to October this year. And "Dasha Reacts" approves the Russian language as genuine.

Superpotroast

It's John Wick with some R-rated Home Alone\Equalizer thrown in for the fun of it..

Corabal

It's very John Wick because it's from the creator of the John Wick franchise

MatthewBrown74m

If you really think about it, nobody Is a pretty smart name Ever heard the book odyssey. Odysseus And his crew landed on an island owned by cyclops One of the cyclops captured him and his men And trap them in a cave with him. The Cyclops ask odysseus What's your name? And he said, "nobody" , after the cyclops ate three of his men Odysseus and his men build themselves a spear and stab the Cyclops eye while he was sleeping. After waking up in pain, angry and blind He opened the cave and Odysseus and his men escape the Island When the other cyclops asked him "who did this to your eye?" , he said "Nobody"

Mastervodo

Loved this reaction! Great, under the radar cool popcorn action flick. You guys clearly enjoyed it. There was a cute kitty in there. Just fantastic all around!

TGrimace

This movie really deserved to a blockbuster hit. It's a shame it was release during the pandemic and never got the attention it deserved. This should've been the first movie in a franchise

Logan Nelson

FYI... For anyone who uses a ps5, if you own the H9 series PS5 headset, you can listen to audio from the Playstation and your phone. Syncing to videos is so much nicer this way...

Tanx

since like 2000 or so all vehicles made for distribution in the US have to have an alternate form of escape from the trunk, either into the back seat or an emergency trunk opener or both and the handle has to glow in the dark. kidnapping is just part of what it could help, but I believe it was actually implemented after some kids died from heat exposure after locking themselves in. lol and just searched and there a sequel slated for 2025. IMDB has Bob, Christopher Lloyd and Connie Nielson returning and has Sharon Stone also on the cast. has a different director, who I don't really know anything about(Timo Tjahanto). But it does have the writer Derek Kolstad from the first movie listed along side Bob Odenkirk. Hopefully they can keep up with the dialogue and fun action scenes from the first.

BigGuy209

“Bob Odenkirk has explained how training for his film Nobody helped save him during his heart attack.” when he went back to film the last season of better call Saul. He had a heart attack and because he was in shape from doing this movie. it saved his life.

MasterElodin

I think they both have their moments where they are better than the other franchise. But I think the bus fight is easily better than most of the John Wick fight scenes if not all of them. Sure they are beautifully choreographed and everything. But that bus fight is so realistic and so well shot.

Gary Fixler

Yes! I absolutely loved Bob in Mr. Show, 20+ years ago, and always wanted to see him play a badass, because he has outbursts in the show, especially yelling goddammit, and he always did it so powerfully, it would kinda shock me a little bit. They even brought it up in the show's DVD commentary. I would link to a montage on YouTube of all of his Mr. Show outbursts, but I'd rather you get around to watching it some day. It's only a few seasons. When this movie came out, it was so satisfying, because he nailed, like I always felt he would, if he ever played a tough guy.

Jacob King

Tonally this movie is a little off. Like, you shouldn’t have been confused about whether it was a comedy or not. It’s still enjoyable. When I saw it in the cinema I think I had an audible eye roll when RZA showed up because of course he did. The technical term is pastiche; a parody makes fun of a specific target while a pastiche blends a bunch of different sources together. I strongly recommend the Transporter films and Ben Affleck’s The Accountant if you want more movies in the “they just fucked with the wrong guy” genre but there are literally hundreds of them.

REDR58

Yeah, I don’t think kidnapping was really in mind. It’s more to allow children to exit the vehicle if they are trapped somehow. The problem is, I doubt, young children would even understand how to even use the pull-release unless it was taught to them.

REDR58

I’m surprised that didn’t come through in the trivia section as it is mentioned there in the IMDb listing for the movie.

REDR58

Nice reaction, lots of fun. That was a first time watch for me as well. Now, speaking of The Equalizer, get back to The Equalizer series! 😄

Logan Kerlee

This movie was fun and hilarious! Really a great time throughout. NOT a family film but also in a way, it kinda was. xD I had such a great time throughout. Very happy that you both watched this. :) hahahaha, absolutely love that this was Bob Odenkirk's wish fulfillment! He did an incredible job with this movie. :) The tattoo deal was awesome! I knew that those were among the worst possible cards and was questioning why he'd have those specific cards put on the character.. but that makes sense! :) Good stuff!

Logan Kerlee

I'm a PC user but this advice seems like it'd be very helpful for those watching via console. :) Good on you for sharing this!

Khan1001

This was so much fun! Wow! I will never look at at Bob O the same way! they should do a John Wick crossover! that would be awesome!, speaking of John Wick, are you going to do John Wick 4 anytime soon?, I haven't watched it yet, was hoping you would do it soon as you have done JW 1-3 already.

Philipp Roensch

"How do you explain this?" - Better Call Saul! Really cool Bob got to do this little action show, fun stunts, cool gags and a quick and easy going premise. Sometimes it does not need more to make a great movie.

Monica Alarcon

I would have love another scene right after he burns the money he takes a duffel bag full of cash, goes to the people that robbed his house and drops it on the floor saying "for your baby, stay out of trouble"... that would have been nice...

sheriffjt

Weirdly just a left a link to the Milk Machine song on the YouTube comments. No matter what Bob Oderkirk does, I will always think of that :)

schnoobs

Derek Kolstad who wrote John Wick 1,2 and 3 also wrote this movie that's why there's a lot of similarities to the john wick movies. Also another vote for The Accountant. which along with Nobody is getting a sequel in 2025

CT

Simone, the song you really liked in the movie is "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar, fyi.

Noel Valdez

I really loved this movie when it came out because what I took from it was that it felt like a representation of being depressed. I was going through a rough time so it helped in that way. Idk if the writers ever meant for it to be taken that way, but it felt like that. And the wish fulfillment of just getting to beat through your fucking problems. Lol

Ketzalborne

i absolutely love this movie

MrTickleTrunk

The sheer number of set ups and pay offs in this movie, the tight script, perfect editing and sprinkling of humor... I'd say this is better than the entire John Wick franchise.

Com1xguy

I would recommend The Accountant for another similar but different movie.

Miles E Coburn

To be honest, after the first John Wick movie I got bored with them. To this day I still haven't watched the fourth one.

Christian Rennie

I'm a little late but this was a first time watch for me too 4 years later and just in time since the sequel is releasing summer 2025. Hooray!
