Best comedy around this time and there were a few is "Role Models". It was early in Paul Rudd's movie career and it's the first time i ever saw McLovin in a movie. Please add it too your comedy poll guys.

This is fun to watch 😂 Props for being way more lucid than I’d ever be doing a recording while baked, because I could barely turn my computer on when I am. Drunk is fine - it’s the Aussie default lol. As far as stoner comedies go I’d probably say “Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke” is among the earliest films in the genre to check out.

I have been looking forward to this all week, I can’t wait to watch this reaction lol this is one of my favorite comedy movies. So it’ll be fun seeing what you two think about it and how you two will react to certain scenes. I wish I could watch it now, but I have to wait until tonight. That’s a great suggestion, love that movie and I love anything that has Paul Rudd in it. So I hope they watch it sometime in the future, but sadly I don’t think it would win a poll. But it might idk even if it didn’t they can add it to the list of the many movies they need to watch lol

Another great movie about weed is Half Baked, you two would love it. It’s hilarious, it stars Dave Chappelle and it’s such a fun and funny movie to watch. So that’s one more of my suggestions to add to the list of movies you two need to watch.

This might be an unpopular opinion , but I feel like George and simone would have enjoyed this movie a lot more if they were sober . Don't get me wrong watching the intro , when the edibles kicked in had me rolling on the floor laughing . I had a blast , just feel like there was quite a few jokes and comedic moments that I feel went under the radar .

The funny thing is David Gordon Green and Danny McBride made the recent Halloween trilogy! Green often veers wildly from one project to another (in a good way). I think he also did Your Highness, which is even sillier than Pineapple.

It seems like this movie (wrongly) informed a whole generation on weed. Pot was outlawed due to racism not conservatism, you don't get higher when you cough and of course a bong dosent "filter out the addictive stuff" because weed is not physically addictive, just mentally. Phew, I feel like I can kick that 15 year old chip off my shoulder now.

Might just be me, but while watching high might improve your personal viewing experience it felt like it kind of took away from the reaction quality, at least for me watching the reaction sober.

Rogan and Franco actually didn't smoke pot at all during filming. You can find it online. They both just acted really well. Watching you both high was great. I think you should watch it again sometime without the pot because you did miss some great lines.

It's very funny to me hearing that 10mg is a lot for Simone when I pop 80mg when I fly from Edmonton down to the states. I long for the day when I can buy a 150mg Gummybear. Otherwise; fun movie!

I had a fantastic time! Please do this again! It was so entertaining. The funniest addition was Samone saying "Ohh, I want(fill in the blank)" Every time food was on screen. It is a different kind of entertainment but just as enjoyable. I would love to see Grandma's Boy done in this manner. Please Please Please do this again.

Same here, thats crazy! I had the memory of this movie being one of the funnier movies i've seen. felt like a snoozefest with dragged out weed talk. maybe its the unrated longer version thats killing the pace a bit.

so I just got done watching the reaction & in my opinion I don’t think this really worked with them being high. I don’t think it was a very good reaction. I also really don’t like when they do the uncut version. It doesn’t normally add anything to the movie. this is just my opinion. 😎🤙🏻 also i believe the movie James Franco is watching is Krull (1983)

I just finished, and it didn’t bother me as much as some other people that you two watched it while high. It definitely wasn’t as good of a reaction compared to all the other reactions you two have done, but I’ll give you two credit for listening to peoples suggestions in the comments and doing this. At least we don’t get ignored and you both listen to our suggestions ( even though not all of us suggested this )

The worst they did was watching T2 extended version, the worst version of any movie ever. I personally hate that version so much, it‘s unnecesarry, ridiculous, goofy, cringe and adds zero to the movie. The theatrical version is perfect.

Oof. I don’t have strong memories of this movie. And I realize the things I do remember come from another movie who also has Danny Mcbride. 30 Mins or Less. I remember laughing at that movie. This movie tho. Oof. No wonder I have no memories nothing about this movie really hits as far as i’m concerned. The only thing that I fully remember was the trailer caused it had MIA Paper Planes in it and how awesome it synced up. But yeah no this movie is lame and I was also high. Did not help.

A few comments: I am perturbed by the lack of closure of Angie’s story. Of all the time spent on all the other tangents, why not wrap that one up? Only half serious. The “Pineapple Express” song at the end was sung by Huey Lewis and the News, the same band that sang some of the songs in the Back to the Future series. I guess you guys did not recognize Gary Cole from office space as Ted Jones in this movie. Although I suppose you didn’t recognize him because you were stoned. I was impressed that Simone remembered as much of the movie as she did with the recap well, half of it anyway. It was a fun diversion, but please never do anything like this again. It was a tad boring…

Please stop picking “unrated” or “extended” versions. If they are not labeled as “director’s cut” they are just lame cash-grabs by the studios that disrespect the director’s vision by reinserting or extending scenes that the director chose to trim or remove to best tell the story

Man am I mad at Amazon, and myself really, I should've checked which copy I was paying for. Apparently there are MULTIPLE "unrated" versions of this movie, and the one I bought to stream from Amazon, only available, is the one that's actually a minute shorter than the theatrical version. I used to have this on DVD and I remember that version had all the jokes I had to pause through on this watch, I remember the scenes with Ted's son on the phone were hilarious, but they were completely cut out of the version I paid for. Anyway I still had fun watching in spite of the snafu, I didn't notice you guys being too high but then again, so am I lol As far as I know Cheech and Chong were the first to make weed movies, I'm curious if I'm mistaken about that, but Up In Smoke is the first I know of. Also I think Danny McBride's character Red is probably an homage to Red from Cheech and Chong's "Next Movie", well the name anyway, the characters are not really alike apart from being really into weed.

Just starting but i thought y'all were taking the thc expecting the spike mid movie. jump cut an hour later and george is... well GeOrGe. i hope this reaction is everything i'm hoping for after 3 minutes of this intro. I was SOOO STOKED until you said unrated which means i have to pay 12$ to watch along or pause/ff every 30 seoncds. DAMN YOU SCOOBA STEEEEVEEEEE

I watched a different version but it’s pretty easy to stop and start. Apatow movies aren’t re-edited the way Cameron or Scott movies are they just let some of the improv scenes go on longer. I don’t particularly love this whole era of comedy where they leant in to the whole improv thing - what’s funny in the room isn’t always the funniest thing that could have happened. The whole Angie subplot is a good example of this, it’s gross and goes nowhere but also what’s the joke meant to be? Is it a Trainspotting riff? Are we just meant to be laughing at the idea of an adult man dating a teenage girl? I’m not sure the watching the stoner movie while high was a great idea. You really want to get a counterpoint to what you are seeing. A horror movie might be better or something like Prisoners of the Ghostland.

Amber Heard and Ed Begley are such good actors and deeply funny people, they could have done something with those roles. My theory is they expected it to just “be funny” so didn’t bother scripting anything and went with the improvised diner ending because that was funnier. The Asian gang stuff, the actual murder, the school cop who knew exactly who in the department was corrupt, and apparently Ted and Carol were romantically involved, there are a bunch of loose ends that never went anywhere.

This was a lot of fun, and I am glad the people told you to do it stoned, and the fact that u listened, these movies are made for high people and if u arent, they just arent as good as when u are :D So ye if you ever do another of these, for example one of my favorites "Half-Baked" , being high is pretty much mandatory.

First EVER? That's pretty crazy, man. I've been going to the theaters since I was a kiddo. This movie came out in 2008, I was 20 at the time - so like 16 years ago. Fuck! lol, now I'm feeling old. xD lol, whatever though - this is a crazy movie to have as a first for a theater experience. Glad you enjoyed! :D
