G'mornin'. Ravenous (1999) [Dark Comedy/Horror/Western]

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Death of Stalin and Network are awesome! Highly recommended watches

Matthew Richson

You guys should watch Transformers One. If there’s a Transformers movie that should be watched, it’s this one.

Tsuyama

that people generally prefer movies new to both of them? you know, rather than it being the sign of the downfall of society of whatever old man yell at cloud thought you were gonna have.

Boyan Konov

Network is one of the greatest movies ever made and widely considered the best English script ever written in screenwriting communities.

Bonnie Hughes

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs was my childhood!

DemNikoArt

!!!Cloudy with a chance of meatballs!!! Pople come one! This is a fantastic movie and Simone & George would love it for sure! Also it's by Lord & Miller. You can't go wrong with this one! :D

Chris B

Absolutely, the original Intouchables is remarkable. Probably won't get the votes as that many people don't watch foreign films, but you should watch it, even on your own time.

Rhett Samios

Definitely Death of Stalin and Network.

Jeff K.

Can I make a suggestion? If you're going to eventually watch a version of The Longest Yard, watch the original with Burt Reynolds. It's MILES better than the Sandler remake.

Arcade Sufi

Death of Stalin is such a great film

nigel Macbug

please do a double feature of longest yard 1974 and 2005 thank you

Inkpendude

Don't know any of these but I trust you guys are gonna vote for a good one

Luca Kelly

That was more negative than anything I was going for lol, I like both movies but one is definitely better than the other , that’s all.

Rhiannon

I didn't realize they remade it - the 2011 movie is SO wonderful.

John

Given how well Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was received and that we are moving toward December. I recommend The Long Kiss Goodnight starring Geena Davis and Samuel L Jackson

Gavin Kinsey

Oh, good call. Such an underrated movie.

William Burnham

The Death of Stalin is absolutely brilliant 😃😃😃😃

Rokkor X

Death of Stalin is just a great movie. So many great actors.

Twisty Twitties

Death of Stalin, the cast is just incredible

Chris B

Unfortunately it had an American remake, with Bryan Cranston (who I normally love) and Kevin Hart, but the movie is nothing compared to the original.

Jeromy M

The Intouchables is a must watch.

Jeromy M

The lack of love 'The Intouchables' is getting is heartbreaking. I hope you both get to it at some point.

Kevin Ehle

Tron doesn't hold up today. Out of nostalgia, I showed the movie to my grandson. He was not impressed, and I was sad that I once thought it was good!

simon brouillard

I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore

Jeff K.

And no offense intended to the people who love the remake. It's... fine. Can never really decide what it wants the tone to be, though, so it keeps straddling the line between "Sandler" and staying closer to the more dramatic original (not that the original isn't also a comedy, but it does a better job threading the needle between comedy and drama). Burt's version is widely considered one of the greatest sports movies of all-time, and I'd say it's rightfully so (that said, a few things are definitely a product of the movie's time and haven't aged overly well).

Viilutaja

The Intouchables (2011), a must watch and should be the poll winner here! US made their own shitty version with Kevin Heart, because of this amazing original!

Tsuyama

i think our hosts deserves more credit. theyve been watching original star trek in their original effects and are clearly loving it!

Gabriel L.

Tron is the worst movie I have ever voted for, but I am still voting for it so they get to Tron Legacy

Christian Da Silva

The longest yard could've easily won an oscar so I hope you guys make the right choice on this one.

Smooticus

I'm always curious why the 1974 original Longest Yard is never suggested. It's grittier and superior to the Sandler remake, which waters down some of the social subtext

King_Panarisi

With ‘The intouchables’ you mean the French masterpiece movie right? Here in Europe it’s just called ‘Intouchables’. Just to be sure?

The Gunslinger

"Right, what does a war hero have to do to get some lubrication around here?"

Kevin Ehle

Perhaps. I grew up on original and can't sit through a single episode today. If it's new to someone, I imagine there is some intrigue.

Actuarial Lurker

The Intouchables is an emotionally beautiful English-subtitield French film about dealing with adversity as a poor black immigrant helps a rich French aristocrat where BOTH learn about living and enjoying life- brought me and my wife to tears

Jeff K.

Also it’s so fitting that Simone is the one who has seen Barbarella, given the artwork at the top of the page has her looking very Barbarella-esque (which I’m sure is a coincidence since it was artwork done for them ages ago)

JoeE

Would recommend ed wood, the talented Mr ripley, kingpin, unforgiven, out of sight

Tay Schumaker

Death of Stalin is great, was shocked to see it doing so well

p0sthum4n

I'm giving it to Death of Stalin because I've been wanting to watch that myself.

Patrick

Death of Stalin is one of the best comedies i've seen in quite a while.

m

Good call, well worth it

Parabolica

I see DOS, I vote DOS. Every time. Hope it wins.

streaky

Same and same.

jmundt33a

Out of Sight for sure. Soderbergh’s best. Lopez at her best. Clooney at his best. Rhames, Cheadle, and Farina just chillin’ and Viola Davis in a one scene cameo.

Maiki

+1 Out of sight

Maiki

Finishing the Naked Gun movies would be great some day.

Lintrinsic

Out of The Longest Yard (1974), Mean Machine (2001), and The Longest Yard (2005) I far preferred the '74 version so no vote there. Death of Stalin got my vote because its an excellent movie along with Tron, because despite the effects not aging well it's something special.

jmundt33a

Someday they may react to it.

Zach McBride

Death of Stalin! love that film!

Rokkor X

I’m gonna have to report this to the Party….

Spacedone

I'm a bit surprised by people preferring Tron Legacy to Tron but each to their own I suppose.

Deco

Death of Stalin for me, think George will love it

Rob Church

I'm surprised anyone likes ANY of the Tron movies.

james repka

Network is a brilliant film yet often overlooked. It is one of the most prescient films ever made I think. Look at the world we live in today, then go watch Network and see how it got this way...

Mr. Writhms

George: Remember that time when you watched both the original "Dune" from the 80s and the latest version? Can we do that with "The Longest Yard" (1974 & 2005)?

G P

Recommending: Barry Lyndon Eyes Wide Shut The Royal Tenenbaums The Menu Best In Show Blue Velvet 12 Monkeys

Michael Buhl

I've said it before and I'll say it again, George NEEDS to watch Network!

TGrimace

The original The Longest Yard with Burt Reynolds is a far superior movie

Amar

I wish Cinebinge would make a poll without a sci fi movie on it. It ALWAYS wins and the amount of movies based in space or not real CGI fake movies on this channel every week is annoying me. I want to watch a good film based in some sort of reality on a Saturday!

Twisty Twitties

Enjoy all of them even the British version (Mean Machine) with Vinnie Jones but yeah the original is the best.

Amar

BTW Death Of Stalin, Longest Yard and my personal favourite the Intouchables are all good movies. Tron 1982 with horrible Effects is NOT a good movie. It's just old!!!

sarCC

Longlegs

sarCC

Not Bumblebee?

HeyHeyJK

I've been pushing "Network" for a while now, but it does warm my heart knowing that at least Simone has seen it. Agree totally, however, that G should see it as well.

HeyHeyJK

Yep. Perfectly stated.

Henry Sanchez

The Intouchables in an AMAZING movie!!!! Please guys vote for it. It’s an absolute favorite of mine. And I’m not a foreign language buff either

Rob Church

Really want a Cable Guy reaction.

Olli

Such a heartfelt movie!

Christian Da Silva

How do you know she's seen it? do they talk about what movies they'll be posting for vote before doing so?

Tsuyama

Christian, whenever one of them has seen a movie, the option for it in the poll will always say "Only new to____" in this case, it says new only to George, which means Simone has seen it.

Joseph Mendoza

Gonna have to go with Tron. Although dated in its effects, it will get them to Legacy, which is one of my all time favorites.

Kinokind

It's sad to see Network getting so little love. Sure, Tron was innovative at the time, but nothing on this list got and deserved so many Oscars as Network! And c'mon, The Longest Yard vs. Network?

Gratch... just Gratch

Death of Stalin is surprisingly hilarious while being reasonably historically accurate.

MR

Not really historically accurate. In reality it was crazier than that.

Brad Lowry

Good "A Little Bit of Everything" poll!

Paul Mix

+1 on 12 Monkeys!

Paul Mix

While "The Intouchables" sounds great, I'm still holding out hope to see a reaction to "The Untouchables (1987)".

Tyler Foster

Yes to EWS, Tenenbaums, Best in Show, Blue Velvet, and 12 Monkeys. I would also add Waiting for Guffman before Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind after.

Tyler Foster

I'm all for watching an original before a remake, but it's weird to watch a sequel before the original.

Tyler Foster

The Cable Guy is so tragically underrated.

Tyler Foster

My guess is that the art was going for Conan more than Barbarella, although there's a Venn diagram overlap there.

Tyler Foster

It's not that it's wrong to say that Tron has "outdated" effects, but I also think the effects look like they were supposed to look. More importantly, movies are time capsules. It's cool to be cutting edge, but ultimately the effects that are anchored to the time period can give a movie personality, and Tron has that in spades. I like Tron: Legacy and I'm looking forward to Tron: Ares, but the effects, even though they look slick, are largely cool because they have a design, not because they're more advanced -- and much of the design cues were an evolution of what's in the original. (Not to mention, the one really advanced thing Legacy tries to do is its most controversial element.)

Jeff K.

That diagram probably also overlaps with Heavy Metal, too.

TheNeonRabbit

I'd LOVE to see a Little Big Man reaction

G P

Agreed, don't understand the hype around Tron, found it boring

JayF

It's heresy that The Longest Yard reboot is on here before the original.

Dioskur

Oh wow! I had lost all hope in this audience, but now it seems as if TRON wins...

Beddoe

+1 for The Longest Yard (1974)

rictus grin

The Death of Stalin is the best dark comedy in years

TechPriest

Would be nice to get this and a Tron: Legacy followup.

Tom Hess

It's a good thing you can correct a vote. I accidentally voted for The Untouchables thinking it was the Kevin Costner classic (1987).

TechPriest

It agree it would be nice to see more genre specific polls and fewer kitchen sink polls.

Ruben VL

While that is a nice movie. This one is also a really good movie, I hope it gets some more love.

Kevin C.

Where did all the Death of Stalin fans come from? gogogo kramer.gif

Mark Rohal

I keep hoping that "Slingbade" shows up one of these days. I am excited to see them react to a movie like that.

Zectorman

Death of Stalin is amazing.

Jay Davis

Glad to see The Death of Stalin is a clear early favorite. Got my vote. But only because half of Cinebinge has apparently seen Network already.

Sergio Meira

Me, I keep waiting that someday they will watch 'Pig' (with Nicholas Cage!) and "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" (with Steve Carrell). Very different movies, but both excellent; I fear, though, that neither would get enough votes... :'-(...

Jon

I can’t not vote for the comedy of terrors!

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) als has a little bit of everything and would be great on this poll.

Tenn Seven

Every time I see or hear the word "Tron" now I immediately think of Dave Chappelle's "Reparations" skit: "Fortune magazine released their annual list of the 100 wealthiest people today, and Bill Gates has been overtaken. By whom, you ask? A Harlem resident named simply, 'Tron'."

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

Recommendations from my must see list : Cloud Atlas, Longlegs, Field of Dreams.

ShōNuff3K

I am shocked Simone has seen network and George hasn't. Having said that, The Untouchables.

dudewheresmycar

Yea, Field of Dreams doesn't get suggested enough. :(

dudewheresmycar

Tron winning would be nice especially as there's a third movie due out next year with Nine Inch Nails composing the score.

Steve Mercier

Death of Stalin in second place? Fuck yes! Go Death of Stalin!

Happy Hanukkah

A *very* common refrain back in the early '50s. :-)

probablyKoi

Pleaseeee guys do not let Tron beat Death of Stalin, it's one of the funniest movies

TYLER NORWOOD

Oh man, so many good choices. Decisions, decisions!

Eddy V Ruiz II

If only they knew who the Shogun of Harlem was!

AVATAR-X

REDR58, pretty much exactly what I wanted to say. I also want to add Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) to your list for its inclusion of the first, fully CG "character" in a motion picture. On another note, the screenplay for Young Sherlock Holmes was written by Chris Columbus (writer: Goonies, Gremlins), who would later go on to direct the first two Harry Potter movies. I'd be surprised if the look/feel of the Harry Potter movies weren't inspired by Young Sherlock Holmes.

Art Perez

One day bloodsport will get in there

cincassette

“Sunset Boulevard” (1950) is another excellent film!

Wrencher86

Death of Stalin doing so well gives me hope it might actually get a reaction some day.

Mike FromOz

Cloud Atlas is glorious.

Marie Montgomery

still eagerly awaiting Legend with Tim Curry ❤️

Mike FromOz

I saw Tron when it was first released to cinemas as a kid. It was nothing short of magical to us. We had never ever seen anything like it, and made us all wonder what kinds of hidden lives there were in the arcade games down near our local shopping center. Tron legacy was a bit 'eh' for me. Visuals good, but wasn't very well put together as a story in and of itself.

DM DC

Is that supposed to be Untouchables? Or is there a movie called Intouchables?

Silver Linings Starman

I definitely preferred "In the Loop" but really liked "Death of Stalin" too. Love Armando Iannucci.

Tsuyama

intouchables is a french film from 2011, as it says in the poll. the untouchables is from the 80s

Mike FromOz

'Transformers: The Movie' (1986) is the real one to watch.

Mike FromOz

Please vote for 'The Death of Stalin', it's so damn wonderfully put together and funny. Absolutely deserves a win.

Matthew Richson

While Bumblebee is very good as far as the live action films go, TFOne is even more closer to what Transformers is.

Matthew Richson

@Mike don’t tell me you think that the 1986 movie is the only worthwhile and TFOne is somehow trash…

FranciscoGios

The remake of Tron is fun to watch, but you guys need to be users of the first Tron movie.

p0sthum4n

It's a sequel, not a remake.

Odavin

The World's Fastest Indian (2005)

Jeffrey Conway

Just some recommendations for the future: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai (1984) After Hours (1985) Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) Bound (1996) Broadcast News (1987) The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) The Interview (2014) Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) Local Hero (1983) MacGruber (2010) Raising Arizona (1987)

Brandon Meng

Not much here for me. I've watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with my kids and loved it, so that has my vote. Please consider in future polls: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Forgetting Sarah Marshall Sideways About Time Midnight in Paris For Christmas: Love Actually For Thanksgiving: The Addams Family Values Cheers!

Jeff K.

Agreed. The remake is... fine. But the original is a classic sports movie. Arguably the best football movie ever made, and a damn good prison film as well.

Jay Davis

Anyone else think reacting to What We Do In The Shadows should be done on Halloween without even taking a poll? No? Just me? ...kay

Jeff K.

Please don't take this the wrong way, and I respect your opinion and appreciation for the movie, but I have to ask... what exactly do you think the Sandler Longest Yard could have won an Oscar for?

Jeff K.

The original is an all-time sports movie classic. The remake is... forgettable, to say the least. It's not "bad" but it's pretty meh. Entertaining enough but it just kinda... exists?

Jay Davis

In the Loop is over the top and I love it... even more than the BBC show.

Hollis Hamilton

The Death of Stalin is a fantastic film.

Christian Da Silva

Best picture, cinematography, best lead actor for Adam and at least best score.

Amar

Oh i agree and i love those polls because a Sci Fi movie won't automatically win lol. I do like some Sci Fi though, Arrival is one of my favourite films ever made. (Great Cine reaction)

G P

Ed Wood is excellent!

TechPriest

+1 for Field of Dreams

Orphan Crippler

Kazaam, Stanley Kubrick directed that I believe? A must watch 100%

Alex Ch

Buckaroo Banzai could be fun.

Alex Ch

Eyes Wide Shut watchalong would be fascinating.

GAB

Stanley Kubrick? No, Kazaam was directed by Paul Michael Glaser, who also directed The Running Man.

GAB

Agreed, I hope they get around to watching it soon. If they watch Tron, they should also watch Tron: Legacy, although I can't recall if they already have. The best thing about both movies is the music: Wendy Carlos and Daft Punk, respectively. The plots are pretty daft enough already, to be honest.

Arcade Sufi

I read untouchables, only just realised, intouchables is totally different film.

Dre2up

I’ll never understand the love for Tron. I enjoyed Tron Legacy though. If it’s necessary to go through Tron to get to Tron Legacy, then so be it. I’ll vote Tron.

Corrido

A couple of films to suggest for future poles Deja Vu - another Denzel Film Underwater - has its flaws but is fun in my opinion

Maiki

+1 Deja Vu

Jimmy

Have either of them seen Rocky Horror Picture Show? I feel that both would find things to love about it!!

Pat MacManus

New Member Suggestion: "Lars and the Real Girl"

The Dark Unknown

Please do Scent of a woman with Al Pacino for thanksgiving!!! love your channels and be waiting to see you react to it for years!

Marcelo

“Society of the Snow” please 🙏🏻

Bill Woods

In honor of Teri Garr, Tootsie (1982). (Since you've already seen Young Frankenstein.)

Be Human

A couple recommendations: Layer Cake Lucky Number Slevin

Brandon Meng

an unexpectedly amazing movie, +1

Zinphad

Christmas movie suggestion: The Green Knight (2021)

Thomas1982

Das Boot (in german with english subtitles)

Tyler Foster

Only question is which cut of the movie?

jmundt33a

Slevin!! Scotland forever!

jmundt33a

And another vote for Deja Vu.

Jon Rainey

If you enjoyed Veep, you'll love Death of Stalin!

sheriffjt

The Longest Yard remake does NOT hold up to the original at all, but I guess that's not the poll

North

I disagree

Lionbarber

100% weird, heartbreaking genius +1

Gareth Turner

I'm surprised and heartened by the number of votes for Death of Stalin - I thought it would be a lot more niche. Fingers crossed it wins one day...

Thomas1982

Directors Cut would be quite long. I'd be fine with the cinematic version but in the end whatever version they can get their hands on.

Shawn B

Out of all of those, I only know, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" because I thought it was a great idea spending my GI Bill on an animation degree :D

Joseph Mendoza

i felt the exact same way. Until i talked to my nerdy uncle who was a teen at the time, and he explained how fantasy today, vs fantasy back then differed because of technology. I get it, but i still enjoy Legacy much more lol.

Logan Kerlee

I love that Tron came out on top for this poll! Big fan of that movie. :)

Max Krause

I truly hope Death of Stalin gets special second place treatment and they're gonna watch it in a few weeks like they've done with other runner-ups before. It's just gonna tickle George in all the right places and it's straight-up funny enough for Simone to enjoy it, too.

Steve Small

Definitely Lucky Number Slevin!

Logan Kerlee

1000% with you both! The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a FANTASTIC watch! Hell, if only Simone has seen the movie I'd still totally be down for a reaction to it. The movie's iconic and silly as hell. :D
