The presence of Tim Olyphant in this movie reminds me to suggest (even though I know both shows have been suggested before) that you guys check out Justified and Deadwood at some point. And potentially for a more comedic Olyphant, Santa Clarita Diet.

So Alita won’t play but this will. What? Olyphant also has a supporting role in Gone in 60 Seconds, the better movie that sparked the Fast and Furious morass. He was also the lead in the original Hitman adaptation, a Cinecringe entry.

I hope you keep watching these. 3 is pretty bleh but the others (esp 4 and 5) are pretty fun.

Can’t wait for you guys to get to 4 & 5, those are just as good as the first one, especially 4 with how early it tackled out obsession with celebrity internet culture, it’s also Wes’s last film before he sadly died so it’s a great end for his directing career.

For Simone: This is actually Sarah Michelle Gellar in the height of her Buffy fame. Just like the last movie with Drew Barrymore, they wanted to have actresses at the height of their fame be killed off first, in this case Jada Pinkett Smith and Sarah Michelle Gellar. SMG was ecstatic to do it, not only did she love the first scream, but after years of playing a hero she said it was actually really fun to play a murder victim and her only request was that it be gruesome. When she mentioned she was scared of heights they decided to have her thrown off the balcony, as originally they were going to have her throat slashed as she went out the front door to escape.

The script -- especially the mystery element -- suffers a lot, I think, because there were so many rewrites. The movie was SO anticipated after the success of the first one and there were a ton of leaks (despite the security efforts).

When you say Max, I’m assuming you’re talking about the HBO streaming service? I wonder if they have Liev on there because of his work with HBO (he does the narration for their long-running NFL docuseries Hard Knocks so he’s been an HBO employee for a couple decades now).

Laurie Metcalf, who played Mrs. Loomis, played Sheldon Cooper’s mom Mary on “The Big Bang Theory”. Ironically, Sydney’s boyfriend was played by Jerry O’Connell, who played George “Georgie” Cooper, Jr. on the same show.

Small point - this wasn't quite height of SMG's Buffy fame, that was probably around 99/Cruel Intentions time (though she was already a known quantity pre-Buffy). She filmed this after s1 of Buffy but before s2, and it came out December 97, which was mid-season for Buffy s2.

Really hope we don’t gotta wait a whole year to get to 3. I actually liked 3 more than 2, but like others have said, I think 4 and 5 were surprising good considering how late they came out.

That would be #4 in my opinion. It has no place in the franchise. Scream 1-3 feels like a complete trilogy with an actual ending. Scream 5 is the start of a new tirlogy with new characters. Scream 4 just feels out of place in the franchise.

I find that to be debatable, given I specifically recall Simone saying that the name of the show was "The hobbits the hobbits the hobbits the hobbits, to Isengard, to Isengard!"

Idk homie, horror is home to many bizarre and questionable sequels. By comparison the “Scream” series has been pretty consistent.

I highly recommend a Transformers One reaction. Peak Transformers. The trailer didn't do the film justice. Its a shame it do as good as I hoped in theaters.

Fun (?) fact as well: one of my brother's law school buddies went to high school with Olyphant, and says he's super chill and friendly and down to Earth, and still goes back to high school reunions and stuff like that and never acts like a star or tries to seem big time.

I really like this movie because it starts the whole movie within a movie thing. Lol I love these movies and while I can totally see you guys point I like all these films about the same to me. They're just all really fun in my eyes nothing to take to seriously.

I always found it so Endearing but also a little sad how Dewey was so protective and brotherly towards Sidney, like he couldn’t save his own sister Tatum and probably feels a good bit of guilt since he was off in the woods making out with Gale, and now Sidney has become his surrogate sister, and he’s determined not to let it happen again 😢

When are you guys doing Scream 3? I really enjoy the first Trilogy, but they're all really fun. Scream 7 comes out next year.
