Redrum Ritual

Every episode is better than the last. Oz didn't kill his brothers on purpose. He was a kid who didn't know that steel door was not like a normal door. Sometimes kid don't now better. I feel it really does haunt him. Deirdre O'Connell is killing it as Francis Cobb. She's a boss. I feel Victor is bringing an army that Oz asked for in the next episode. What kind of army, we will find out. There is speculation that Bruce Wayne or as Batman is going to cameo the next episode. Imagine the next episode begins with the bat signal lighting up the sky. I doubt it, but I have a guess there's going to be a Catwoman tv show next. Just my guess. Team Gigante

I haven't heard you talk after the reaction yet, so idk if you mention it, but you may have forgot that Oz killed Sofias brother. When she mentioned wanting to make Oz suffer, you only brought up putting him in Arkham...he had a hand in that, but her hatred for him for sure includes her brother and the lying

I'm pretty sure Francis doesn't know...that nobody knows...that Oz is (accidentally) responsible for the death of his brothers, except Oz himself. So it doesn't seem like Sofia can use that against him.

The musical Oz and his mother watched on TV was indeed named “Top Hat” so you guessed right. It’s a Fred Astaire (actor/singer/dancer/choreographer) movie from 1935 also starting Ginger Rogers (also an actor/singer/dancer) who Oz’s mother mentioned. Doctor Rush as portrayed by Theo Rossi (who also appeared in the Marvel Netflix series “Luke Cage”) was invented for this series.

Baby Oswald, Ryder Allen, is a young actor from Malibu, California. In the post-show, making-of vignette, he speaks in his natural accent. The accent he uses in the show is put on for the role.

I'm not sure how much Oz was motivated by malice in the death of his brothers, but that lost a lot of sympathy I could have for him. A normal kid would panic as much as the mother, not be blissfully in her arms as the storm rages on. You certainly on a track when you mentioned his girlfriend looking like mom a bit and Oz basically taking possession of her. Salvatore going out as quick as that is surprising, but I'm vibing with Oz just having incredible luck and not doing much of his own handiwork. Maybe the war between families could be a bit drawn out, but this gets us faster to the personal stuff.

Yeah exactly. Sal was never a main character, and he just died, without Oz getting to take him out himself. And he so desperately wanted to do it he made sure to scream it in his face before he died. And he'll of course take credit for it

So far the only characters from the comics are: --Oswald Cobblepot (or Cobb in this canon)/Penguin --Carmine "the Roman" Falcone --Salvatore "Boss" Maroni --Alberto Falcone (aka the Holiday Killer in the comics) --Sofia Falcone-Gigante (Gigante is her married name in the comics) --Magpie (a jewel thief who replaced the stolen goods with explosive replicas) --Squid (current comic version is a common drug dealer) --Johnny Vitti (in the comics he was a thug & Carmine's nephew) --Floyd Ventris (here a corrupt Arkham doctor/in the comics a low-level Batman villain called Mirror Man who used mirrors and similar devices to see through things, briefly deducing Batman's identity) --Mama Cobblepot or Francis Cobb here (in the comics she was very overprotective of Oswald, instilling his love of umbrellas by always making him take 1 to protect him from pneumonia in case it rained)

The meta answer to why Sal had to die is he’s not in the next movie and it wouldn’t make sense to have him running around Gotham without being addressed. I watch too much pro wrestling so I mostly think in terms of “the story behind the story” unfortunately 😂
