Is this the start of something beautiful?, the F&F franchise gets too much hate for no reason tbh, sure it strays away from its roots in the later movies but they're just fun and entertaining action movies, hopefully this might lead to the Riddick movies down the line as well. Also very hyped for Adams Family Values.

I love Point Break, and I love Fast and Furious... but yeah, it's wild how much of a ripoff F&F is. Like, last time I watched Point Break, I even noticed that Johnny Utah and Pappas were drinking Corona while going over their theories on the Ex-Presidents.

Oh and also, regarding Tokyo Drift: that's gonna make me want George and Simone to watch the movie Better Luck Tomorrow, since the character of Han in Tokyo Drift is the same character as the one in BLT (and yes, this has been confirmed by Justin Lin, the director of both films, and Sung Kang, the actor, which weirdly makes BLT a stealth, unofficial member of the F&F franchise).

Hopefully the Star Trek watchalong continues to the other series' in the franchise. I really don't care much for TOS, and I barely like TNG, but I absolutely ADORE DS9 and Voyager.

Voyager is my favorite. It is the one that really seems to hit what Roddenberry wanted Trek to be, but without his dumbass rule about "no interpersonal conflicts" holding back the writing.

Well I am here for it either way. I still remember when I saw the first one, I was not expecting much of anything, but I was bored and wanted a simple action movie to watch. I was so amazed at how well done it was, and fell in love with the franchise. I know it gets ridiculous each movie, but they do it in such a fun way. Just get the popcorn and enjoy the show is the best way to watch a movie. :D

lmao wow! The movies are ton of fun (for their time)! It also helps if you're a fan of streetracing or cars in general. If you aren't a fan of either of those things - Fast and the Furious will bore you, I think.

I think it needs to be understood that the FF fandom was originally ironic. They were these dumb throwbacks coming out at a time when Hollywood action movies were all serious and post 9/11. The joke has sort of folded back in on itself multiple times both with the filmmakers and the audience. It’s hard to tell who’s making fun of who and I’m not sure Vin ever understood it in the way Justin Lin, and the Rock and Helen Mirren, did but the movies themselves are a bit of a slog. They definitely push the limits of a cold reaction because the best thing about them was the conversation and the way real cinema people got annoyed when you compared them to Bourne or Bond or the MCU. To be fair F5 is a better movie than Quantum of Solace but that’s not saying much.

Hahaha FF from Cinecringe to the real channel. I LOVE JDM cars, and even I think these movies are trash. I even imported a drift car from Japan. The cars are great, but there's not a decent film in the entire series. That being said, the first few are super fun, especially Tokyo Drift. No reason not to watch. Not everything has to be a Coen Brothers film.

I’ve never seen it, and I’ll be watching. I do enjoy Coraline, which was my vote (I’m from 20mins away from where the story takes place) I just gave a general aversion to animated films with celebrity voice casts. Not that film actors can’t voice act, but so often it’s little more than stunt casting. It’s a different skill that doesn’t always translate.

You may be right. That's the thing about being on a Patreon that's based in and has a mostly American audience. You gotta choose the right place to be for that. Like I said though, a European movie may do well on a poll if it appeals to a wider audience or a very supportive smaller one.

i mean they did say at the very start of the series that they are doing it because theres free time, but other things will take precedence and the show would move around as needed.
