I’d like to recommend Transformers One again. Because it was animated by the same studio that did Rango, ILM.

Wrencher86

Yay! I loved this movie when it came out. And as 3D animation has become increasingly generic in its design, I love it even more as a reminder of what the medium can actually be used for.

Mastervodo

Are we missing a Patreon version?

Galactic Cannibl

Never remembered the Fear and Loathing reference in the beginning when the convertible hits him

Helly R

Ah, the frog sheriff movie (deep in joke). This is one of the most creative animations ever made, for my money.

Twisty Twitties

Absolutely love this movie, its really unique and didnt get enough attention on release.

Rob Church

So they have to watch Fear and Loathing now, right?

nigel Macbug

suggest 9 (2009 animated film)

The “dragon” could be a chuckwalla or a Gila monster. Looks more like a gila monster but doesn’t have the same colors.

Wrencher86

Pretty sure it's supposed to be a Gila Monster. Voiced by Ray Winstone from, among other things, The Departed. I'd love to see them react to a movie where he has a main role like Sexy Beast or The Proposition.

Wrencher86

Right after Chinatown.

Redrum Ritual

I saw this movie once when it was in theaters. I'll check it out again

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

??? It made a nearly a quarter billion and won the Oscar for best animated picture of that year. It did pretty well.

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

I’d still hold out hope for mainstream cg animation, it seems movies like Spiderverse have reinvigorated quite a few in the industry, and we’re just beginning to see the results of such a movement. Now if only audiences paid out the nose for such projects like they did for the recent (and frankly uneventful) animated Super Mario movie.

Twisty Twitties

Yes it did well but never gets talked about because its not a Pixar animation, I only know 2 other people who have seen it.

Whoa, Parsons (the blind mole guy) was voiced by Crash McCreery, who also did character design on this film, along with some other guys. He's an awesome creature designer. I remember being wowed by his drawings of dinosaurs in art books back in the Jurassic Park days. He's been a concept artist and character designer on the Jurassic Park films, Terminator 2, Predator 2, Van Helsing, Galaxy Quest, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (the undead pirates), Edward Scissorhands, and many more. I can't find a great link, but Google Images gives some idea: https://www.google.com/search?q=crash+mccreery+art&sclient=img&udm=2 Another character designer on this film was Eugene Yelchin, who has a Rango character design page here: https://www.eugeneyelchin.com/rango-2011 The top right image there makes it much more clear how Jake the snake was designed to look like Lee Van Cleef.

Seconded. I used to work with Shane 20 years ago. Cool dude. He actually left that job because 9, which started as his student short film, got picked up by Tim Burton, and turned into a full movie. We all wished him well, and I never saw him again 😆

BoredLittleLady

This is such a good movie because it’s a great story but I always thought of it as “ugly animation” but I guess it’s just realistic. I’d like to recommend another animated movie that has a great story. “The Book of Life” (2014).

droodly

Did this video get disappeared by YT? Boooooo...

HeyHeyJK

Well that bites. I came to the site literally to watch that reaction because it was so good and it’s one of my favorite films and now it’s gone forever. I can watch it on other reaction channels but they’re not Cinebinge, so I don’t see what the point is.
