Let's gooo, You gonna freak out your Kitty Simone 😂😂

That opening scene is so freaking intense and well done. The rest of the movie is solid, though obviously a step down from the original, but I still enjoy it. Really looking forward to the new ones. (28 Years Later and its next sequel were filmed back-to-back; I believe I read that, based on how well those two do at the box office, they have plans for a third in this new set, as well.)

If you guys get disappointed by obvious plot tropes in movies... Mulholland Drive.

Rob Church

I've seen reactors hate on the dad for surviving in the opening but the wife making those suicidal decisions in the beginning is the real issue. It's nice to see you guys be normal and reasonable. Especially when they have living children out there but she expects her husband to just jump into a fire and kill himself for her. He did everything right.... until he lied to the kids.

Mike FromOz

I hope you get better George! Or have gotten better, since these come out later. Sending you virtual bowls of chicken soup your way!

Arcade Sufi

I think with the recent passing of David Lynch, you should definitely check out his films: Mulholland drive, the elephant man, blue velvet, and Twin peaks!

Jeff K.

I’m still surprised Imogen Poots (the daughter) didn’t have a bigger career after this. She’s really good in this and strikingly beautiful, so I’ve legit always wondered if her having kind of a funny name played any sort of role. Like I watched this and assumed she would be the next Keira Knightley.

Happy Hanukkah

Apropos of absolutely nothing at all, I once again recommend Margin Call (2011) (particularly for George), and disrecommend Life (2017).

Jeff K.

Oh, one more thing: I'm a little surprised (unless it was in the full reaction, so I just didn't see it) that they didn't seem to know who Robert Carlyle was, given he's one of the stars of Trainspotting. And it also reminds me, they should check out The Full Monty sometime, both for him and the once and future King Robert Baratheon in a MUCH different role.

I must say... the first one was great but I prefer this one a little bit. So one of the very rare cases where the "sequel" is even "better" than the original. Curious how "28 years later" will turn out to be. So many years after the first two movies. I'm sceptical. Btw... 28 days/weeks came before Last Of Us. The movies are from 2002 and 2007. Last Of Us is from 2013.

Mastervodo

Unfortunate last name. No one would have blamed her for adopting a stage name. I recognize her as young Valerie from V for Vendetta!

Jeff K.

Yep. And to clarify: I'm talking about the last name for sure; Imogen isn't overly common but isn't funny. But Poots, given it's slang for farting, feels like it might not have helped her. She's still done plenty of work, but I really thought she was gonna be a big star.

Mastervodo

"SHOW ME YOUR WAR FACE!" (Simone). rawr! ..... *crickets* ... ahem.. rawr? maybe?

Mastervodo

Margin Call is great! And it has VISION!

Jeff K.

I feel like any Simone "rawr" would be followed, as well, by an embarrassed giggle.

Happy Hanukkah

So it does. (And Spock. And Lex Luthor. And Alfred. And Cap's creator. ...)

Mastervodo

And a quiet, "I hate myself."

jose giron

This is how I got my imogene poots crush 😅😅

The mother is basically Typhoid Mary. Infected but not symptomatic, but infectious to others.

Check out Vivarium if you wanna get weird.

I want to say this came out in 2007, because I saw it in the theater the night before my bootcamp graduation, which was in May 2007.

I saw 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later in theaters. 28 Weeks Later may not had done well in theaters because it was released in the month of May where families are going to watch Shrek 3, Spiderman 3, and one of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. 28 Weeks Later definitely not a family film even though it has family in the movie lol. It was release at the wrong time. I don't remember the last time I saw this movie. Feels good to see it again now older and post grad of film school. I do like the first one better but this one was still good.
