Thank you, George. This was amazing. So glad your dad liked it. It's so funny and also heartwarming to see that he has the same reaction to certain scenes all kids have when seeing it for the first time. A big smile or just a little "oooooh". But at the same time having a completely different view on things as an adult. I can still vaguely remember the first time I watched this as a kid, in my parents bedroom with my dad. And while the quality of the Disney movies is, well, let's say debatable, I will always treasure all the midnight premieres I went to with my dad. Now looking forward to Empire and Jedi! PS: Your dad wasn't that far off regarding the sounds of the Tusken raiders. They're based on the bray of a donkey. Btw highly recommend the 6-part documentary "Light & Magic" about the beginnings of ILM, obviously with a heavy focus on Star Wars, but also a lot more. PPS: Han shot first.

George's dad at the beginning of the movie "Wow that's a big ship" then George "Let's put this movie on pause real quick" *Puts in Spaceballs" lol

Man!! I’m so exited for your dad to watch the other two Star Wars movies, I noticed that he was well entertained. And remember the copies we watch are the ones who’ve been remastered by George’s Lucas visual effects, audio and computer animation company called ILM, which of course Disney now owns.

Wow, really fun to watch the movie with someone who never got to see it! I was curious about Porkins, so I looked him up. William Hootkins only made it to 57 (died in 2005 of pancreatic cancer), but was not only the first of the team to die in the trench run in A New Hope, but also Lt Eckhardt in 1989's Batman, the corrupt police detective in the trenchcoat and fedora, who flicks the cigar at reporter Knox, saying "you can quote me on that" (Biggs was also in Batman). He was also Major Eaton in Raiders of the Lost Ark, one of the two suits who met with Indy in that giant classroom before he left on his adventure to tell him his father had been kidnapped, and who told Indy at the end they had "top men" working on it. He was in a bunch of other things, too, and apparently learned to speak fluent Mandarin while in a theater group at Princeton.

I really enjoy these movies with you and your dad, George. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I absolutely LOVED watching this with you both, George! Wow! xD The magic of Star Wars is so real, so genuine!! Your father reacted as a child would, despite being a grown adult.. I love that for him. :) Really made me feel very happy. Star Wars is something that should be watched by everyone at least once - and your father's reaction to this is a clear example of why that is. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Made me night. <3

Your dad is a lot of fun to watch along with!
