Jeff K.

Come onnnnn Sarah Marshall...

Mike FromOz

Going for Bedazzled, because Brendan Fraser needs all the love, and the movie is fantastic.

Mino Productions

Reign of fire is incredible and I forgot it existed until this poll! George will especially love it I think.

Rokkor X

BEDAZZLED is finally on a poll!!!

Rokkor X

I know it’s going to lose. But maybe it will get another chance. No major channel has reacted to it yet.

Shehab Dawoud

I think your polls should be more focused. Whether it’s genre or theme or whatever. Instead of this arbitrary stuff.

Kevin Ehle

Surprised they haven't seen Horrible Bosses. Absolute classic!

Christina Doxstader

The reaction to most of these would be so awesome. I wanna vote for Million Dollar Baby but I don't think I could do that to Simone.

Neumann

OMG WAITING...! tragically underrated and honestly, a fantastic reminder about social etiquette for SOME people

Codytallica

Would like to eventually have you 2 watch all of these but I'd say I wanna see Waiting first.

Alex Laime

no gracias, soy alérgico a los crustaceos

Balmung

Reign of fire came out of nowhere and I loved it. Really unique

Alex Laime

Bedazzled needs to be on the next comedy poll

jmundt33a

Million Dollar Baby is great. I love Sarah Marshall. Gone in 60 Seconds is a guilty pleasure. So, I voted for those. I really enjoy Brendan Fraser and peak Liz Hurley is fabulous. However, that doesn’t mean all projects with them in it around this time are worth it. Ms. Hurley, her sultriness, and her wardrobe made the posters and the previews, and they are the most memorable and enjoyable things about the film. But that isn’t always enough. Hurley’s sexiness wasn’t enough for Serving Sara. Eva Green’s sexiness wasn’t enough for Dark Shadows, and actually crashed Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Viilutaja

Bedazzled should be next comedy!

Golandaz

Reign of fire is pretty good

Rokkor X

Mis establos!

HUGO TORRES

All these movies are good but sucks that my last choice is probably the one thats gonna win lol i still hope they do bedazzled

JOEDATOR

I am writing in my vote for the original 1967 “Bedazzled” starring Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, which is way, way better than the 2000 remake.

Jimi Hart

I chose horrible bosses because that film lives rent free in my head, sooo good. But I also love Waiting; very underrated film and in my heart is something of a cult film.

Maiki

Suggestion: Miss Sloane (2016)

Rupert Purcat

The original 'Gone in 60 seconds' is the better option. Budget early 70's writer/actor/ director and stunt man all in one. Classic along with Vanishing Point. But it is Brenden Frazer every time - here's for Monkey Bone.

jmundt33a

Uhhhh sure. Very different. Doesn’t necessarily mean better or worse, but it does mean the aspects of it that succeed and fail are worlds away from the remake.

Dakota

I'm suggesting "Noises Off." A fantastic comedy starring Michael Caine.

jmundt33a

I’ll suggest Midnight Run for the next comedy poll.

Adam K

Come on Million Dollar Baby - it’s a brilliant award winning movie that also both George and Simone will really love

Da Big Appa

I LOVE Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I am bias though since I watched it right after splitting up with my ex wife and it hit me hard. I still quote it too much lol

Endling_king

Yeah but it doesn't have Angelina Jolie!

Tcrimson05T

Forgetting Sarah definitely

FrancescoTakesItEasy

If Horrible Bosses wins, get ready for a lot of humor in the vein of "how can it be sexual harassment? Your boss is a hot lady! Don't you wanna fuck your hot boss? What are you, a *homophobic slur*?". Not to say that there's no funny shit in there (most of the stuff involving Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx is hilarious), but this is what I mostly remember about that movie.

Rob Church

Gotta be Reign of Fire. It's a bit of a mess at times but the way it was shot and the general tone of the film is really interesting and awesome.

YoureMrLebowski

I think Forgetting Sarah Marshall is good, but I really can't remember.

Jason McCloud

Only the Brave, please consider it

MPH

It's pretty funny.

MPH

Comedies are always best. I would prefer one of the others, but Horrible Bosses is pretty damn funny.

Kate

I really thought I was the only person who loved this movie, even though I think it’s been on a poll before

Dale Smith

Personally hoping for Reign Of Fire, not many people react to it and it's a favourite of mine. It's not a perfect movie but I genuinely think you two would enjoy it :)

Jay Willis

I'll agree with the first three "quotes", but I don't think they ever call each other a homophobic slur. I think there are a few lines in that vein, but they're from the horrible bosses that the movie clearly makes out to be terrible people, and they're not so much humorous as statements made to make you hate them even more. Personally I think the movie is hilarious and it's got my vote. :P

Itbewhatitbe

okay you might not like it (neither do i) but at least not spoil it and let them find out and decide for themselves?

Itbewhatitbe

thats 90% of their polls. the no theme ones are the exception not the rule.

JoeE

Would also recommend dazed and confused, dog day afternoon, one cut of the dead, unforgiven, sing street

jmundt33a

Got unjustly savaged when it came out. It is fantastic!

Dan

Suggestions: Grandma's Boy Baseketball (Matt Stone & Trey Parker)

FWPJR.

It’s great to see that Horrible Bosses is winning right now, I love it and think it’s hilarious. And i even like the second one, so hopefully if Horrible Bosses wins this we can get the second one soon after. And Forgetting Sarah Marshall is also great and hilarious, I’ve been waiting a long time to see you two react to it. And also Waiting is really funny, three really great choices in this poll that I love.

Crytek

Not a bad movie on this list! I'm especially fond of Waiting have grown up working in the service industry around the time that movie came out

FWPJR.

Definitely yes to Dazed and Confused, we need to see them react to it.

Ray

Blood in blood out devil advocate rounders the chase

Wrencher86

It's a little disheartening to see a Best Picture/Best Director/Best Actress winner (Million Dollar Baby) perform so poorly against this list, but I'm sure you guys will get to it eventually.

UnSafeStu

Been rewatching some old videos in which George refers to Bill Nighy as Slartibartfast. When are we getting our Hitchhikers Guide reaction dammit!! 🤣🤣🤣

Lyle Morgan

I would rather stick a toothpick under my toenail and kick the wall than endure Million Dollar Baby again.

Brandi Davis

I hope Bedazzled wins, it it so rarely done!

Chris DeLuca

Yes, I wish their subscribers had more refined tastes

Dag Einar Bergli

Horrible Bosses having almost double the votes of Gone in 60 is absolute bonkers. Hoping for Cage in cars or Reign of Fire.

Kial O'C

Just a few recommendations: Wanted (2008) Mr. Right (2015) The Italian Job (1969 and 2003 remake) Splice (2009) Rounders (1998) Falling Down (1993) The Gentlemen (2019) Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005) Pitch Perfect (2012) + sequels 500 Days of Summer (2009) Get Him to the Greek (2010) Accepted (2006) Yes Man (2008) Grown Ups 1+2 (2010+2013) 21 (2008) Up In The Air (2009) Jennifer’s Body (2009) Triangle (2009) Jeepers Creepers (2001) Van Helsing (2004) Night at the Musuem (2006) Shooter (2007) Jumper (2008) Hancock (2008) Tomb Raider (2001) Knowing (2009) National Treasure (2004)

Michael Nemo

WATCH THE ORIGINAL BEDAZZLED!!!!!!

Jeff K.

Hard agree. Saw it once, it’s good, now I never want to watch it again.

Jeff K.

I as well recommend Midnight Run. I mention it every time it comes up, but the dynamic between De Niro and Grodin is the biggest inspiration for the dynamic between Mike and Saul on BCS. (I can't remember if it was Gilligan or Gould who said it, but one of them specifically referenced Midnight Run in an interview with how they wanted Mike and Saul to play off one another.)

nossieboy

Bedazzled is good fun but I personally want you two to react to Reign of Fire.

akaTheBAY-AY-RON

Ah-ha! There's a soundbite of Simone saying "Bullshit bullshit bullshit" that's taken the internet by storm and it always reminded me of Forgetting Sarah Marshall but didn't think she had seen it. Having now known she has seen it, it doesn't mean she was quoting the movie when she said it, but knowing it's a possibility is the only validation I need XD

Chase Lonnergan

I love Reign of Fire as a movie. But I 100% cannot take it seriously. The very situation the protagonists find themselves in with regards to the dragons is utterly ludicrous.

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Never said I didn’t like it. I liked it when it came it out and I haven't seen it since. And I don't consider this a spoiler - it's the premise the movie was sold on. The Aniston - Charlie Day dynamic was, like, 90 percent of the marketing.

Rob Church

Get Him to the Greek (2010) just isn't funny anymore. The whole cast is actual sex offenders.

Lex Kuzma

Do you have a link to a clip that uses her quote?

Rob Church

It's honestly so overrated. Might be my least favorite film Eastwood has directed.

Random Nevermind

Thank you for the poll Two random movies for the next random poll Wag the Dog (1997) Kiss Me Deadly (1955)

akaTheBAY-AY-RON

I don't have a link handy. I was being a bit hyperbolic saying it was taking the internet by storm, it's not a trending sound on instagram or tiktok (but maybe someday???). But what I was referencing is a friend of hers that streams has an audio clip of her saying it that can be redeemed as a channel point redemption. Her name is ZoeTheMighty, she may have a clip of it somewhere. Side note, Simone also makes an appearance for Fortnite from time to time on that channel if that's your jam.

Jake Nichols

Horrible Bosses and Bedazzled are fantastic. And are movies nobody else reacts to for some reason.

Michael M.

If you happen to do a foreign movie poll at any time, could you add: The Worst Person in the World (2021)? It's been oscar-nominated

Michael Buhl

I prefer the 1967 Bedazzled, but the 2000 remake is good. I'd like to recommend (again) Network (1976) and The In-Laws (1979).

John

I would suggest once a month or once a quarter having a Criterion poll. Pulling 5-6 movies from the AFI top 100 list only to vote on. That way you work through classic movies as well.

Kial O'C

Or you can realise what a ridiculous standard that is, please just try to enforce that for yourself, never again can you watch anything where anyone credited has been accused of doing anything wrong. Horrible Bosses is on this list and Kevin Spacey’s in that and he happens to be a brilliant actor. Polanski’s been dodging the consequences of raping a 13 year old girl for almost 50 years now but I’m not going to pretend he’s a shit director. Can I no longer watch Always Sunny because Diddy was in that?

Justtired

I may be mistaken but I am pretty sure George has stated in the past he really disliked Gone in 60 seconds. Let’s not put him through that again 🤣😂

Tenn Seven

That movie was just awful. The 1974 original wasn't too bad though.

Jeff I.

I'm surprised no reactors ever do Blood In Blood Out. It's such a great cult classic.

s0rd3z

I'm Waiting... for Primer to be in one of these polls.

jmundt33a

I maintain it is NOT awful, just a Bruckheimer movie.

jmundt33a

Wag the Dog is great. And a throwback to the beginning of the American political doom spiral. GREAT cast.

Tim T—

I'll have the XKCD plot diagram at the ready.

YourBigBut

When's that darn thing gonna set!

Tim T—

Brazil (1985), as I'm fond of saying here, has no particular theme.

Michal Novotny

My recommendation this week: Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. Apparently a great movie, wanted to check it myself several times but really want to watch it with you. 🙂

Hansy

horrible bosses is great

myinniemademedoit

Hopefully Horrible Bosses keeps its lead. One of the best comedies of the 2010s

FranciscoGios

Bedazzled! Bedazzled!! But I know Reign of fire is a good one as well.

Huckleberry lobo

Here's a few random recommendations to throw in the pile : Knocked Up, The Frighteners, Lost Boys, Batman vs Superman: Ultimate Edition, World War Z, Clerks 2, Lucky Number Slevin

Amar

Similar to Horrible Bosses but better is "We are the Millers" a very good comedy with Jennifer Aniston as well.

Rob Church

Lol, relax kiddo. Put your little speech away. No one is saying you can't watch these movies and I have no issue separating art from the artist, love Always Sunny. None of that means my enjoyment of a certain film can't change with new information. The actual jokes of the movie itself are altered by new context, and I no longer find it funny. Same with Russel Brand. That episode of Always Sunny is still hilarious but the cameo isn't as funny anymore to me because instead of being this odd, eccentric guy the whole character takes on darker undertones. If you don't think films and their interpretations change and evolve with their audiences, I would suggest you don't actually know what you are talking about.

Kial O'C

You can’t say that you have no issue separating the art from the artist and then demonstrate that you clearly do. You admitted that your enjoyment of Get Him to the Greek or the Always Sunny episode is tainted because of the actions of the actors in their personal lives, by definition you are not separating the art from the artist.

myinniemademedoit

You make the mistake of thinking George and Simone paid attention to the marketing of a movie that came out 13 years ago. I love Horrible Bosses, saw it in theaters when it came out, and I couldn’t tell you what was shown in trailers, etc.

myinniemademedoit

Another 2008 comedy that you should check out is “Role Models” starring Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott.

Chase Lonnergan

Which is why I love it. I don't take it seriously. But there is still a little voice in the back of my head screaming "What the fuck? There's no goddamn way that the dragons would beat literally every military on earth. That's just fucking stupid!", every time I watch it.

Dylan Thomas

Definitely a yes on clerks 2 and lucky number slevin both are must sees

Horrible

The Beach if you haven't seen it

Odavin

I think you would both enjoy. The World's Fastest Indian (2005)

Bill Woods

The 13th Warrior (1999) Antonio Banderas goes aviking Continental Divide (1981) John Belushi's rom-com The Right Stuff (1983) the Mercury astronauts Ruthless People (1986) Judge Reinhold kidnaps Bette Midler Being There (1979) Peter Sellers seems to know a lot about politics Patton (1970) for George and his dad

Amar

BTW Million Dollar Baby is super underrated by this community!!

Bryan

Please add Into the Wild (2007) on the next movie poll thanks!

Benjamin Trewin

Just this week was thinking "man it's been forever since I watched horrible bosses, probably due for a watch". Better hold off 😜

MDvortex

Million Dollar Baby Top Movie! But after that they both need a comedy :)

Dan Holmes

not a fair poll i voted for everything lol

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Throwing a hand up for Bedazzled and the other to wave hello to a fun list of movies. All are a good watch ☺️

BlueTrane

Glad to see Gone in 60 seconds transition from cinecringe to cinebinge. Its a favorite, even though its objectively mediorcre. Fun watch though.

Alexander Kirichenko

Pleeeeeeease put Second hand lions on the poll, it is so good and heartwarming

TheTreeMeister

Dear god please not waiting. It’s one of the most obnoxious movies I’ve ever seen

Brandon Meng

Not too many movies I quoted more than Waiting... during my mid-2000s college era. It's the Office Space for the service industry and quintessential Ryan Reynolds. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of my all time favorite movies. I don't care if Simone has already seen it, I've been advocating for this reaction for maybe years and I won't stop now! I really hope you eventually get around to it. I think George would love it! I really don't get the hype with Horrible Bosses or even The Hangover, which everyone seems to think is hilarious. My other weekly recommendations: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri The Royal Tenenbaums Anything by director Alexander Payne (Sideways, Nebraska, The Holdovers, The Descendants, Election) Cheers!

Jinyatta

Canadian Bacon!

Rob Church

Haha whatever you say, man. Either you seem to be having a tough time truly understanding what I'm pointing out or are just being purposefully ignorant. Enjoy your mediocre list of mediocre films.

Kial O'C

Just own what you said, you fucking child. If you simply typed something you didn’t actually mean when you thought about it further, that’s fine, but saying you have no issue separating the art from the artist is literally antithetical to you then making the case that your appreciation for the art is diminished, not because your taste changed, not because you grew up and discovered other things that you enjoyed more, not even because you gained some media literacy, but purely because the personal lives of the artists. As for the list of films, yes, some are classics, most are just stupid fun films, I’m not here just to see critically acclaimed greats or niche arthouse stuff. I’d rather see something laugh their ass off at a Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler film than stare blankly at something like The Tree of Life or Nomadland which, whilst being well made, would bore the fuck of the average person. PS. Editing your messages after the fact does nothing but make me doubt your ability to converse in good faith.

Sean Hennessy

Movie recommendation. Sneakers (1992) (not about shoes), it is Spy thriller/comedy with a great stacked cast.

Jay Davis

Hey. Look at that! For once, I'm on the "right" side of a poll with Reign of Fire. Who'dve thunk it?

Kial O'C

If that’s your standard then most of this list ineligible for voting in one way or another. Would you have them go through and remove past videos as and when actors get accused or are they all fine?

Seymor Butz

Wow didn't think I lived in a world where horrible bosses and reign of fire were beating millions dollar baby 😀

Cinebinge

alright folks, lets please end the argument here and now and walk away. lets help us keep the peace and you can both simply block eachother to not see eachothers messages. continuing the argument and insults will lead to an immediate and permanent ban. Thank you.

Da Big Appa

Great movie, great cast. Also fitting after just watching Mary McDonnell in Dances with Wolves.

rictus grin

Reign of Fire is fun and my second favourite movie about dragons, my favourite is Dragonslayer (1981)

Kevin

Knocked up for sure

Big.Bad.Mr.Mustard

Putting my bid to get Prisoners (2013) back in rotation.

Adam Vialpando

This is the most random poll choices ever and I absolutely love it. Reign of Fire is a guilty pleasure of mine that I saw in theaters and loved. Same with Gone in Sixty Seconds. And Waiting is a comedy classic that I still quote to this day.

Huckleberry lobo

throw it in the pile brother. The more we request it the more likely they'll put it in the poll

Huckleberry lobo

Just to watch their reaction how Clerks 2 explains how LOTR sucks is gonna be epic.

max

Hoping to see Hardcore Henry on here at some point soon...

Adam Vialpando

It had a very mixed critical reception and seriously underperformed at the box office, and despite liking this movie I can admit that it was all warranted. It's a dumb movie about fighting dragons in modern times. You'll either love it or hate it. Plus it has Gerard Butler.

Adam Vialpando

I unironically love it more than The Fast and the Furious. The Fast movie takes itself so seriously while Gone in Sixty Seconds knows exactly what kind of movie it is.

Adam Vialpando

Million Dollar Baby is an amazing but horribly depressing movie. And sometimes you need a nice dumb movie as a palate cleanser. Honestly Million Dollar Baby feels like it doesn't belong on this poll at all.

Adam Vialpando

I still quote Waiting... to this day. Whenever someone tells me they don't want bacon I quote Dane Cook 😂

Adam Vialpando

We need more fun mediocre movies on this channel.

John

The 13th Warrior is great

Adam Vialpando

Eh, We are the Millers is fun but it's just not as timeless as Horrible Bosses.

Adam Vialpando

The real mistake was putting it on this poll in the first place. This whole poll is filled with incredibly dumb and funny and/or ridiculous movies that many people have a soft spot for. Million Dollar Baby sticks out like a sore thumb and not in a good way. I love it but I have no problem admitting I voted for other things. Put this on a list with more amazing dramatic movies and my views would change.

TheGrimOne

It will never win a poll, but you need to watch Waiting. Reign of Fire and Gone in 60 seconds are must watch movies as well.

Anders Sandum

I'd like to recommend "The Mission".

Chase Schleich

Nothing wrong with Horrible Bosses, but it has no business winning this poll. Come on Reign of Fire! You can do it! I think George would love that movie.

Jon Burrows

I voted for bedazzled (I’m just a big Brendan Fraser fan), forgetting… and reign of fire which I watch every couple of years

Dustin Duvall

All of them except million dollar baby and horrible bosses

Dustin Duvall

I dont remember it being a hit, but I've always loved it. Too nostalgic to be unbiased, so I'm hoping it holds up for first time watchers

Galactic Cannibl

At least Simone can get some much needed laughs after Dances w Wolves and Grave of the Fire Flies

Angel Baby

I recommend a comedy drama “varsity blues”

Siel sielll

Probably would never happen but would love to see you guys watch chronicle.

maikeru

Birth (2004)

Happy Hanukkah

For those unconvinced, the cast includes Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Ben Kingsley, Dan Aykroyd, River Phoenix, ...

CinOps

If you ever have a 'Space/Historical take' type poll, might I suggest an Aussie flick, "The Dish" with Sam Neill - another side to the Apollo 11 moon landing.

James Pugal

How about a sports movie poll? Rush (2013) Friday Night Lights (2004) Cinderella Man (2005) Miracle (2004) Warrior (2011) All are based on true events except Warrior which actually might be the best movie of all. And all movie are much more than the sports and more so about the character stories

DinChild

Gotta go with Million Dollar Baby on this one.

Benjamin-Ian Astley-schaack

I can get with this, for the most part. I might call it "really, really bad" but it is fun and probably has more rewatchability than any FF film just in that regard

Jacob Colson

Anyone know who won the poll? I can't seem to vote!

Maiki

Not yet decided. Horrible Bosses 639 Reign of Fire 597

Itbewhatitbe

click on the movie title not the check box

Dirge Girl

So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993) [Romantic Black Comedy] Featuring the song, "There She Goes" ... ... also, Mike Myers and Nancy Travis.

HUGO TORRES

I agree its literally my last choice of all these movies

Jacob King

Come on Reign of Fire!!!

FrancescoTakesItEasy

@Jay I'm not sure about the slur, this was more a broad representation of the humor how I remember the film. In my memory Bateman and the third dude couldn't fathom why Day had a problem with the harassment, and I see l, like, several "what are you, gay?" scenes before my mind's eye, but maybe it's less egregious than I remember.

FrancescoTakesItEasy

@idrinkthere4iam No, I'm not assuming that. I just don't agree that anything in the original post constitutes a spoiler. Sorry if I pissed anyone off.

Amar

IMO Horrible Bosses is not as funny.

jmundt33a

Well…from the It’s Pat era of SNL big screen. But I do love Nancy Travis.

jmundt33a

A counterpoint to Field of Dreams. Interesting.

jmundt33a

It is a fun high school sports…thing. Brought to us by MTV films when that was a thing. They’ve done Remember The Titans. This would be the other end of the spectrum.

Ashkaun

This is a banging list. I voted for everything 😂

jmundt33a

Ryan Reynolds doing edgy comedy is a crapshoot. Deadpool is great. Van Wilder is ridiculous, but fun in the right headspace. Just Friends is just mean for most of the movie. Waiting felt like a combination of JF mean and VW gross out though it has a point. And the edge it tries to navigate is similar to Office Space and Eurotrip in stretches.

jmundt33a

Also James Earl Jones

jmundt33a

Being There seems painfully relevant again.

jmundt33a

We Are The Millers is fun where Horrible Bosses is not.

jmundt33a

Slevin is the best on that list, but I also like Frighteners.

jmundt33a

Is she quoting Sliding Doors in this soundbite?

Jeb Manning

If we're going with movies that have no particular theme, I have a few other suggestions for future polls that would be fun: -King Kong (1933) -Pinocchio (1940) -The Wolf Man (1941) -Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) -Yellow Submarine (1968) -Night of the Living Dead (1968) -And Now for Something Completely Different (1971) -Harold and Maude (1971) -The Muppet Movie (1979) -Time Bandits (1981) -The Dark Crystal (1982) -The Secret of NIMH (1982) -Monty Python's the Meaning of Life (1983) -The Return of the Living Dead (1985) -Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) -Re-Animator (1985) -Explorers (1985) -The director's cut of Little Shop of Horrors (1986) -Innerspace (1987) -Ernest Goes to Camp (1987) -Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) -Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) -National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002) -Detective Pikachu (2019) -The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) -Transformers One (2024)

jmundt33a

Have you seen Jewell or 15:17 to Paris?? J. Edgar was objectively awful and muddled. And A Perfect World was just okay before its ending which gets the same reaction MDB elicited from Jeff.

akaTheBAY-AY-RON

Could be. Both are said in a British accent in both movies LOL, but not sure. The soundbite just always reminded me of FSM because she says "Bullshit" 3 times like it's said in the movie. But I didn't actually think it was from that movie because until seeing this poll, I just assumed she'd never seen it. But I don't know for sure if it's something she got from a movie, or just something she said in the moment, and it just so happened to be similar to a line from either movie.

jmundt33a

Really like Rounders and The Chase Devil’s Advocate is very well done Fallen is also excellent.

Jimi Hart

Friday Night Lights! Love the soundtrack score by Explosions in the Sky!

Jimi Hart

I recommend “Primer (2004)” “Dallas Buyers Club (2013)” “Stir Crazy (1980) with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor” “Arrival (2016)” and “Eyes Wide Shut (1999)”

JarHead0351

Brain Song 1971 - base on a true story - one of the best sport (Football) movie

Christian Rennie

Whole heartedly second Primer. Totally worth it and is a trip for sure👌

Jimi Hart

Oh daaym! 👍👍

lisa

Paddington 2.

RLYtoxic

Blast from the Past, is my favorite Brendan Fraser movie. Also Airheads is really good one too.

RLYtoxic

Pleasantville (1998) and Stay Tuned (1992) couple good movies, could be fun to watch.

Justtired

Breaking Away (1979) Little Giants (1994) not quite The Sandlot but cute Tin Cup (1996) And for Simone: For Love of the Game (1999)

Kris

My least favorite kind of poll... One where I want most of the options to win

jmundt33a

Pleasantville +2

Be Human

Lucky Number Slevin Natural Born Killers Layer Cake

Kenzie

Footloose (1984) LA Story Pitch Black

jmundt33a

Footloose is a classic. All of Me is a classic. LA Story is a really weird early 90s artifact.

jmundt33a

Slevin is awesome. Layer Cake is well done.

jmundt33a

Dark Crystal, Muppet Movie, and Detective Pikachu.

dieselbeast

Bedazzled is great fun lol hopefully one day yall react to it!

Kenzie

LA Story It's just classic and weird enough that would be right up their alley.

James Falato

"Million Dollar Baby" is Surprising... Just... Surprising...

Gryff

I will literally pay you each $50 USD to watch Bedazzled and post the reaction. It is that good.

John

Pitch Black is great and I would recommend that and Footloose (1984)

John

Slevin is definitely worth watching

John

Pleasantville +3

John

I wonder if Friday Night Lights is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Varsity Blues?

John

The Royal Tenenbaums is great, and an excuse to also watch Rushmore

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

If you’re ok with parts of the movie in French with Subtitles, Bon Cop, Bad Cop

Brandon Meng

Agreed, really thought they would hit more Wes Anderson movies after they liked Grand Budapest Hotel so much.

jmundt33a

Have they done 17 Again? I didn’t even consider we’d have to contemplate a Michelle Trachtenberg memorial selection.

Brandon Meng

In addition to Michelle Trachtenberg, would also like to bring up the potential for a Gene Hackman memorial movie. Unforgiven, Superman, The Royal Tenenbaums, heck even Antz all worthwhile to me. He was such an iconic actor. Lots of other highly regarded movies in his catalog I haven't seen others here could probably speak to better.

jmundt33a

And Runaway Jury goes on the drama list with Heartbreakers on the comedy list. Maybe a nod to Crimson Tide. Bad news this week. And I only notice I’m late to this after posting in a rush.

jmundt33a

Unforgiven, Runaway Jury, No Way Out. Superman is good and his Lex is the big screen standard. Have they already done Hoosiers? I much prefer Heartbreakers to Antz

Maiki

The Firm. Enemy of the State.

jmundt33a

Brill is a great character. Yes to both. Absolute Power is another good one. A shame that Welcome to Mooseport was his last film.

Brandon Meng

Reading these recommendations and I'm realizing there are a ton of quality Gene Hackman films I either haven't seen or need to revisit. What a career he had.

Kelly Pickard

Pitching for future consideration: - Margin Call - The King's Speech - Hook - The Birdcage

Jen

Can I recommend Fiddler on the Roof, for a musical? It's so good, y'all.

Jeff Demarest

Just gonna put this here, you guys really need to do Karate Kid 2 and 3 so you can do the Cobra Kai series someday.

jmundt33a

Margin Call and Birdcage (another Hackman film) are excellent. King’s Speech is great. Hook is the weakest, but still good.

jmundt33a

Yes. Opposite end of the spectrum. Voight’s character thinks he’s in FNL. Maybe a couple of the fathers. No one else does.

Kelly Pickard

Hook is more fun than anything, a nostalgic swashbuckler with a great cast and a great John Williams score. And the idea of a grown-up Peter Pan might be fun for someone who hasn't already seen it!

CommanderBrownCoat

Two more Gene Hackman suggestions- The Replacments, football movie with Keanu. Enemy of the State, spy action movie with Will Smith and alot of other familiar faces.

Happy Hanukkah

I've been pushing for Margin Call for a while now. I think it's right up George's alley.

Happy Hanukkah

One of the most successful Canadian films (domestically). It's a Wunza* film with a Two Solitudes twist. * From the Roger Ebert review of Rush Hour: "“Rush Hour” is our reliable friend, the Wunza Movie, pairing two opposites: Wunza legendary detective from Hong Kong, and wunza Los Angeles cop. And wunza Chinese guy, and wunza black guy. And wunza martial arts expert and wunza wisecracking showboat. Neither wunza original casting idea, but together, they make an entertaining team."

dennis bay

I got a movie suggestion... Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Karl Uban, Helen Mirren... The movie is called "Red" ... your welcome.

droodly

Agreed, but how about "Romancing the Stone (1984)" first? :)

Liquor & Swords

Do add "Captain Ron" to the next poll, you won't reget it. /Comedy

Rob Parry

They just did Chicago and put up a long reaction on YouTube. They also have done other musicals like Grease and just put the Sound of Music on a recent poll. So safe to say it would be longer than 12 minutes on YouTube.
