Tony Wirt

Ayyy, Candyman let’s go!!!! Now they’ll see why it was such a big deal that Tony Todd showed up in the Final Destination movies. Also it’s just an A1 horror movie.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Great thing about weekly reactions - I get older, they stay the same length…. Erm, I tried haha. But yay Dazed and Confused and Candyman 🤙🏻

KIERON

American Beauty & Candyman is a peak week.

Śéáń

I'm quite happy with the scheduling of BCS5/Severance2/BCS6. Plenty of good Tuesdays ahead.

Emptysea93

Candyman!!! Yay one of my favorite horror movies ever. I hope you watch more Clive barker after this, like Hellraiser

Josip Buretić

I would rather watch Severance season 2 but that is just me 😆

Śéáń

Waiting 6 weeks between reactions is a fitting tribute to those who were waiting 3 years between the seasons themselves 🙂

Philipp Roensch

Good stuff, get the meme folder ready for Animated Star Trek.

Trevor S Bright

I know 2 & 3 are weak cuz duh, direct to video horror sequels, but I kinda hope for reactions to all the Candyman movies. First, they're better than several Michael, Freddy, or Jason sequels. Second...it would just mean more Tony Todd, and that would just be great in my book...and speaking of that, maybe Wishmaster would be cool cuz he has a cameo in that.

Codytallica

When are you guys gonna finish the Friday series?

jmundt33a

Tony Todd’s big break. Yes, this is why he was a big get for Final Destination

Jeff K.

Hell yes, Dazed! Been waiting for that one.

Daniel Smith

I watched that film (Hellraiser) far too young and felt physically ill for several hours after. Still holds up on repeat viewing and I don’t get ill any more.

Inkpendude

The only thing I don't like od season 5 is that is kinda slow

maikeru

candyman 😬 the last third of the movie is wild 🙈 didn‘t expect too see such insane last scenes 😆😖😅 when I watched it a few years ago. my mind kinda erased some parts of those scenes to protect me I guess 😅 hellraiser is more insane though IMO ps: I had a lil crush on the lead lady

FrancescoTakesItEasy

Cool! Just retired my Candyman blu-ray and hope the 4K disc will arrive in time. It's my third-favorite horror movie.

Mo's Not Mortal

I think candyman was overhyped. I did my own reaction to it in 2021 and fell asleep. Woke up, finished it, left feeling confused. Maybe I misjudged it and this second watch through will change my view of it. Also Rip Tony Todd. 🙏

cincassette

Since we’ve had some oscar winner polls recently, I wanted to suggest some films that have won the Oscar for Best International Feature. - “8½” (1963) Federico Fellini, Italy - “Dersu Uzala” (1975) Akira Kurosawa, USSR/Japan - “Cinema Paradiso” (1988, Theatrical Version) Giuseppe Tornatore, Italy - “Life is Beautiful” (1997) Roberto Benigni, Italy - “The Lives of Others” (2006) Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, Germany - “Amour” (2012) Michael Haneke, Austria - “The Zone of Interest” (2023) Jonathan Glazer, UK/Poland

kbobravo

I would also add on to that: "Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion" (1970) Elio Petri, Italy "Z" (1969) Costa-Gavras, Algeria

cincassette

Absolutely , Z is excellent! there are so many great films to choose from in this category. I’ve never watched the Elio Petri film, but I’m keen to check it out.

jay

Just got done watching your guys’ reaction to E.T. and George asking for more Spielberg, and I must say I am so surprised you guys haven’t done A.I. Artificial Intelligence, especially with how much George has seemed to talk about liking AI in the past, I think this is one you guys need to get around to soon. IIRC, it was being written by Kubrick up until his passing and Spielberg took over the project after

jay

Also, I just recently watched 2 of the trippiest films I’ve seen in recent times that I think you guys would get a major kick out of. “Predestination”, and “Coherence”, hope to see either of these in the future! I’ve seen Predestination recommended on here a few times so hopefully it’s already on the list!

Phillyman!!

Great lineup. On a future poll, the movie Mud (2012) is an excellent choice. Drama/thriller

Be Human

Each one gets better!

FranciscoGios

Get ready to hear Tony Todd's voice in Candyman 👹

FWPJR.

Heck yes, you two are finally reacting to Dazed and Confused. I can’t wait for that reaction, I love that movie so much.

FWPJR.

Same, I’m looking forward to that reaction.

FWPJR.

Great reference lol I like it

UnlicensedOkie

Days and confused is legit one of my top 10 favorite movies. No real plot. Just friends hanging out

AstralCars

So we’re going to watch all of the Mad Max movies but just ignore Furiosa? 🤨

robodong

a reminder of their very very recent post saying "we're all adults here, its okay to not get instant gratification". they tend to stagger franchises because not everyone is a fan of any given franchise.

Brent bmc_comix

Exactly! (Patiently waiting for Rocky V and Balboa!) ;)

Jeremy S

I really hope that them proceeding with TAS means they'll keep going with TNG next. Have they said one way or the other yet?

robodong

yep theyve confirmed multiple times its TAS > Movies > TNG

Jeremy S

Awesome, thanks!

jackthegent

i hope george likes dazed and confused. just hope they realize the movie isn't about anyhting

David Crabtree

Dazed & Confused is my favorite movie!

Tmatts

Alright alright alright

Grand Moff Slackin'

I would like to formally suggest The Pitt for future TV reactions. The first season just finished and finished strong imo. It’s on Max in the US, not sure if that applies to Canada as well.

Dan Holmes

Can't wait to compare the Candyman and Scooby Doo reactions lol

Wormtongue

Never understood what all the fuzz about Dazed and Confused is all about. But I love pretty anything based on Clive Barker’s books.

PIG

“Hellleeen. Come taste the sweets!” Candyman is up there as one of my favorite horrors. It might be that Phillip Glass score or Todd’s performance.

CD

Banner week!

Robert Finlay

Dazed and Confused is an excellent slice of life movie.

DM DC

Candyman!!! One of Tony Todd's Best! so excited for this one!

Jesse Coombs

Looks like a fun week! Star Trek: The Animated Series is an inspired and insane choice. I love it. I think I've mentioned it before, but this will be my official request for you guys to watch Community. I won't bring it up again, and I hope it at least lives happily on your spreadsheet.

Kron0n

Aww American Beauty... I know I voted for it but now I'm down :(

JoshG

My dad had me convinced that what happens to freshman in “Dazed and confused” was real, and that when I left middle school, I was in for a longggg summer.

My name is Jere

Ohh. I have proplems now. Should I watch TLOU at monday or wait G&S and watch with them if they Will watch it...

Jeff K.

Well damn. Dazed and Confused being in the rotation just got kinda sad, as Nicky Katt (character actor who I'm sure everyone would recognize as a "That Guy" who plays Clint, the bully at the party in Dazed), passed away today.

michael denny

I'm not sure how good it would be, but have you guys ever discussed reacting to bbc's planet earth or similar content?

Blqbrd

Damn I wish Candyman was first 😭 can’t wait for that reaction. Hopefully yall check the new “requel” at some point also

UnlicensedOkie

That would be awesome. My high school science teacher was always showing those in class. I have it on Blu-ray

UnlicensedOkie

Looked at his filmography. Can’t believe he was in Secondhand Lion. The mom’s boyfriend at the end. RIP

UnlicensedOkie

Top 10 for me. I just bought the soundtrack on cd off eBay.
