Child’s Play 3 is bad (just blandly medicore) but you should at least see (or look up) the ending of Child’s Play 3, so you’ll understand why Chucky “looks” the way he does in future installments (pretty much how he dies and how his doll body is changed—it’s a fun ending that can be viewed out of context because the rest of the film is so inconsequential, IMO). But yes, Bride of Chucky (4th), Seed of Chucky (5th) and onward are fantastic films that are both scary and hilarious. Guaranteed you guys will have a fantastic time with this series.

I don’t mind if they watch it. I love the series, but they mentioned in the beginning from comments saying how 3 is bad and not sure if they should watch it, so if they wanna continue with all films that’s totally fine with me. I’m mainly advocating for the weirder entries like Bride and Seed.

Nah. Neverending Story was released in 1984. First Child's Play movie was released in 1988. He'd have to de-age himself to do it.

Lots of people will tell you to avoid 3 and jump straignt to Bride, but please watch them all, they all have a purpose.
