As fucked as art is, he’s so funny. Terrifier 2 & 3 definitely aren’t Oscar winners, but they are much better than this one in my opinion

Terrifier 2 and 3 are astronomically better. There’s an actual narrative, likable characters played by good actors, they’re far more intentionally funny with Art’s physical comedy, and ups the ante in terms of its practical effects. Think of this film as a concept film for Art the Clown and the type of horror effects implemented (since these are extremely low budgeted films).

This is more of a proof of concept than a movie, but it's a really effective introduction to a horror movie villain. I can't imagine why you'd go back for more of this franchise, but the 2nd and 3rd movies are much better, with an actual story and characters (well, a couple) that you actually care about. But they are also significantly longer (both of them over two hours) and gorier (thanks to bigger budget). The previous appearances of Art the Clown were a couple of shorts and an anthology horror film called All Hallows Eve. They don't connect to the feature-length Terrifier movies at all except that Art is a part of them. No shared continuity.

Hell yeah baby !!!! This is such a niche horror movie you either like it or not, this 1st movie is purely to showcase practical gore, terrifier 2 and 3 are legit great horror movies imo, the best practical offers your ever going to see in any horror movie, no CGI here 😀

I love horror films of all type and I still hate the Terrifier series..but I have some friends who love it..but not cuz they are actually good, they get off on the shock content of it all..to each their own I suppose

Cinephiles give every genre a shot…and that’s what I love about Simone and George on Cinebinge. Terrifier, especially the first film, isn’t for everyone, but it’s perfect for horror fans who love creative slasher kills. They might love it, they might hate it…but at least they tried it. And hey, even if I roll my eyes at movies like Scooby-Doo, being open to everything is what it’s all about.

It’s rare you can find a low budget horror film with great practical effects. No CGI, just prosthetics and engineering like what they did back in the days before computers haha

You have to do the sequels. The story, characters, kills, and comedy all get infinitely better. I love 2 and 3, but wasn’t a fan of this one.

If your not properly tempered in gore going in you are not ready for this movie The sequels definitely go more camping and fun with it and therefore better. This one is just seeing how many horrific kills we can cram into 90 minutes
