Hi everyone! Here is a very important update to this little community of ours that we think you will all enjoy! From this day onwards, every movie and show we watch, in addition to the YT edit and Patreon version, we will also provide a third version that does not cover up what we’re reacting to! That means you will no longer need to provide your own version to sync if you dont want to!

Of course, you still can use your own copy to sync if you want to be able to control the volume of the movie and our reaction independently. We arrived at this decision after speaking with a bunch of other bigger creators, Patreon terms and service support, and getting independent legal counsel, we are now confident that our content falls well within the protection of fair use as commentary. As our commentary is always consistently there throughout the entire show or movie. In addition to providing this third version to all new content, we will also be retroactively going back to providing a third version to all our older content, starting with tv shows. But it is important to remember that this wont be something happening overnight, its a lot of content to acquire, edit, export and upload and it will take a very long time. So if you are waiting for a specific movie or show to get its third version, please be patient. This also means that over the next several months, you will receive notifications of large amount of uploads occurring at once from time to time. This will be us uploading third versions of older content as they finish being processed, sadly the notification of new posts is automatic and we have no way to turn that off, so bear with us as we go through our entire catalogue.

Nonetheless, we hope this big update and endeavor is good news for all of you as both money and time saving. And again, we will also continue to provide the traditional version should you want to sync you own copy instead, so that you can control the volume independently. And of course, we still strongly recommend you all to rent or buy the movies and shows you truly enjoyed!

And thats it! Thank you all for your support and see you in the next reaction!

this is awesome! perfect mix does this and i liked to watch a lot of their stuff because of that

Dom

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. THAT’S AWESOME.

Michael

When does this start and what movie

Sir_Robert

Hell yeah. Y’all are the best

Joe Lazarus

YAY!!!!!! Thank you for thinking of us!!!!!❤

The Fool

I'm honestly so hyped for this, I love watching you guys but i often do it at work and syncing isn't always an option

Simone's Coconut Squire

Woo hoo! Can’t wait for the new feature! When do we get the version with George’s accompanying interpretive dance?

Subject entry 4

That's awesome no more renting lol always enjoy your commentary as fellow gamers I get s lot of jokes

fromage

Whoa, this changes everything. No more having to figure out which version of a film to find in order to sync up.

Corabal

Amazing news

mky

Holy cow! 🥳

OlRock

🥳🥳🥳, look forward to these! Understand it’s a big undertaking though, best of luck. 🫡

Anthony Fumai

Huge news! This is so exciting! Thanks for all you do

Jomero

Honestly this will save me some money. I'm only subscribed to some streaming services only for stuff like cinebinge. Very nice and thank you!

Texas J

So excited!

RogueRN

Wow! Thats AWESOME!! Thank you both for what you do and the obvious care and consideration you’ve put into coming up with this new option! 🎉

Monica Alarcon

Nice! Personally I'm fine the way it is but this is helpful specially when someone has a version of the movie different to the one you are reacting.

Jason R Carpenter

I don't have to perform sudoku because of this! Thank you!

Neal Riggins

Great news. Hard to synch when watching on my phone. A couple other tractors I subscribe to does this and it sure makes things easier. Thank you

Stephanie Bedworth

That'll be pretty great, especially when there are multiple versions of a movie and sometimes it can be a little tricky getting a hold of the version you guys are watching.

Tori Loomis

holy shit that’s awesome. i don’t mind syncing most of the time but for some stuff it’s a different version depending on countries/ streaming services and it can be frustrating to deal with midway through.

Mkings17

Amazing news!

dieselbeast

I know t.v. shows theres no need for your own copy for some reactors and I only know of one reaction channel that shows you the full blown film using a third party website not on patreon, good luck

Steve Mercier

Very fucking cool...I wait patiently for your Shogun reactions...I couldn't sync my copy up with yours, and would very much like to experience your reaction. NOW! No, I can wait. I'm waiting...

robodong

🤷‍♂️if they talked to lawyers about this, sounds like they got their bases covered.

BridgesNotBurned

Now I’m retroactively deciding to keep this subscription 4Ever! 😂 This is an awesome addition! Love you guys and these reactions. Thanks!

probablyKoi

very surprised you’re able to do this but a huge welcome surprise - and absolutely insane that you guys are going back through all the old stuff too

Feignorance

Another channel i subscribe to has been set up like this for a little over a year and I've always wondered how their patreon hadn't been nuked by DMCA claims, but fair use, huh.

Robb

Mmmm this seems like an April Fool's, sounds insane, hope u are vigilant to any response from movie studios or changes to TOS. As long as your content is safe this is AMAZING!!!

Michael Haug

This is great news.! I will now upgrade my tier to include movies as well. It was simple enough to get whatever streaming platform for the full-length tv show reactions but movies are all over the place. Excited to watch some full length movies with you two.

Shawnie

If I knew about this I could have helped you guys with the uploads! I've synced up dozens of copies of movies and shows with your faces overlayed. I just never rendered any and just played them in my editing software. This is great for you two tho!

Tay Schumaker

I would love to know what legal advice they got that says this is okay

Justin Feldman

Missed a real opportunity to have a big name Disney movie playing during this announcement.

Śéáń

This is yuge, I had no idea this would be feasible given how copyright law can be, but very interesting indeed! If this format catches on it might be good for some channels e.g. group watches that watch their stuff on speakers, so you have to align your copy *exactly* to minimise audio echoing. Great stuff. Personally, I'll probably stick to the usual format as I think my system of having a mini-popout of the reaction on front of the fullscreen film works for me, but this is a great option when stuck, or even pn the phone.

J Danger87

Awesome! You guys are so thoughtful!

Nikolai

Can you just put links in the Patreon and YT descriptions of the existing videos? This would forgo the need for notifications and feed spam.

Shonnicus

Can we get a version of just a BIG picture of Simone or George with no audio and no video. It is like one of you are in our home just on my screen while I watch a movie. Think about it

Wally Hartshorn

Nice! It’s always a hassle to get the right version, get synced because the version I found has a different length of opening studio logo, then get synced again after I had to pause to deal with an interruption.

ScottishSammo

Wow! That is amazing, thank you for putting in the work. Never thought it would be possible 😁

Siel sielll

that will make shows so much better wow!

Onno Smits

Sounds like you received some bad legal advice in my opinion, but it's your bread and butter so up to you! Thanks for keeping the normal version going too. I prefer mixing my own audio and having an unobstructed view of the movie.

Cinebinge

unfortunately no, as these versions will be uploaded directly to Patreon, which will send the notification no matter what as soon as something is uploaded.

Siel sielll

as someone who likes to watch on a phone its impossible to sync the shows

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Super cool news. I personally still love syncing up the movies and having a watch but this is terrific for a lot of folks on here. Hopefully you don’t overload yourselves even further coz you both are crushing the busy schedule as is anyways 🤙🏻

TGrimace

Personally, I prefer the setup as it is. The view of the movie you provide is the best of any reactor I've ever seen, and easy to sync up with. And I like being able to set the volume of the movie separately from the reaction video.

Mark Messer

I guess this means ill be subscribed until the day i die lol

Ken

Continuing to provide the version that allows us sync our own copy sets you guys far apart from the rest. You guys are Rockstars for sure! My biggest complaint of other reactors who provide the all in one commentary is that they always mess up the audio to the point that I can't watch their content, despite the reactions being very good. My heart originally sank when I read that headline, thinking you all were going to follow suit down a bad road, so thank you, thank you, thank you for keeping current content as it is and just adding a third option. More reactors need to take lessons from you guys! Again, you guys are awesome, thank you!

Henry Sanchez

I’ve been watching reactions with Alex Hefner for almost a year now with this style and I really like it for rewatches and smaller scale movies. But for example I tried to watch Avatar 2 with him and it wasn’t the same. So thank you for still offering both options. I’ll go back and forth depending on the films

Denashi

*Checks the date* nope, not April 1st! Well this is HUGE and very very welcome!

My name is Jere

If there is still version for watch along that doesnt have movie audio this will be awesome... I Will watch my own copy still from big tv.

Nikolai

Oh ewwww Patreon nice going :(

BigGuy209

That’s cool. now i can watch every thing Even if I don’t want to rent or the movie is not available streaming platform

lovemoose

Omg this is huge! So awesome!

Jared Petty

This is delightful news. Thank you.

Rhiannon

That's so awesome!

cincassette

That's great news! Especially if I'm ever on the move or out of town (no more awkward iPad screen mirroring contraptions)... I'll probably still use my own copy though most of the time since I like control over audio, and like to see the full unobstructed movie frame.

Ryan Williams

Great! I so glad you’re keeping all the options. I personally like syncing up my own copy.

Matt88g

Thank you

Twiska Brand

Will the third version include the movie audio and music?

Martin

I love me some “Quality of Life” updates! Well done, you two!

Cate Tai

Thank you!!!!

Viilutaja

Wow, this is such a great news. Thanks for going this route!

Philipp Roensch

Did not expect Patreon going with it, The Nomies have a separate site for that, but if it works for you - it works. Happy to have this option. I do not have an Apple subscription and much of their stuff cannot just be bought in hard copy, but alas.

Philipp Roensch

George, the funniest edit for an ultrawide Tarantino/Western movie would of course be you two on the top/bottom black bars. :D

ShōNuff3K

So I'm gonna get a massive amount of notifications! 🤔so if I'm at work I CAN use the excuse "my ladies hitting me up all day" I'm only one gigolo!

Ryan Skinner

Man, as if you two weren't already my favorite internet people. HIGH FUCKIN' FIVE, G&S

Twiska Brand

I've seen other Patreons do it. Like AliciaXLife and MrBLoyd, who have been uploading their reactions with full video and audio for years without issue. For them the only issue is studio bots that scrape Patreon for titles. And they gets around that by just titling the shoes as something else. Like Straw Hat for One Piece and BoB for Band of Brothers.

Graham Bullman

Awesome. This is great news for me, as much of the watch along stuff I see plays at a slightly different speed to you guys (frame rates I believe?) and I have to pause to catch up every couple of minutes. I'll still sync up I expect for those platforms that do match.

m

Not that I'm complaining, and it certainly will be much better for the occasional niche theatrical versions you only get on Prime or something... but it's still really weird that this is the way this business is headed I suppose it's one thing to only do 360p picture-in-picture versus uploading pristine 4k rips. Makes me wondered what's going to happen with YouTube and friends. Wonder what Patreon's stance on audiobooks is then.

Big Gee

That’s awesome news specially for the certain movies I don’t have or are unfortunately cannot rent at the time the reaction drops. An extra viewing option.

Twiska Brand

This is great as I prefer to watch one video on my phone. When I have to use my laptop to sync reactions with my own copy, that means I have to put my cat out of the room, as she constantly walks around and sits on my keyboard when I use my laptop.

IncredibleBulk

Honestly love this as an option and my first concern was that you two may get in trouble from copyright, but if youve taken legal advice then WOOHOO. also i like that we will get notifications of the uploads as it will possibly bring up some stuff i've missed and be a good opportunity to catch up!

Richard B

It would be great if we can start with videos that aren't available for streaming, like Spinal Tap.

m

Not having explicitly confirmed it: yep, I guarantee that's what this implies. You don't get to easily adjust the balance between reaction commentary and movie, and you definitely will make big sacrifices on quality, but I guess it's convenient for phone-only audiences and people too busy or drunk to sync up the reaction with the movies.

randomnewb

i just want less compressed cams

Ste Rawlings

Absolutely sensational scenes! This makes it so much easier to go back a few seconds to rewatch a funny moment or see Simone absolutely jump out of her skin at something. Not only are you guys the best reactors but you go above and beyond to keep making subscribing on patreon incredibly worthwhile.

Joshua White

Ironically, this will lead to a lot less bootlegging.

streaky

That's cool. I always thought this was the legal status - but it's still a big balls move to jump off the cliff and do it to that level - edited reactions and fighting BS DMCAs are one thing but the entire movie is a bit tighter to the meaning of the various conventions.. It's one of those things; being right doesn't mean you won't end up in court.. I thought some time ago about creating a webapp that would enable content creators (i.e. people who do reactions) to upload their reactions and then the user self-selects their own copy and sync is handled - even having support for the creator pausing and jumping back (as some do) etc which I still think might be the best ultimate solution to this sort of problem.

Jeff K.

This is awesome and I hope it goes into effect ASAP, because I'll be totally real with y'all, wearing two separate earbuds that independently link to my iPad and my iPhone while I'm watching, for instance, Severance or Better Call Saul on the elliptical is a pain in the ass. (Fun fact: this is how I currently watch Tuesday content, in general.)

Jessi

And joined back up!

Scott Lindsey

I guess this is good. The issue I may have is trying to watch a small movie screen within your reaction video. The other issue is if I want to use my own copy will there be a version without movie audio as syncing that up can be really horrible even if you get it almost perfect there will be wierd echoes and distortions.

StonyD

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! Thank you! You two are "banging my buck" and I love it!

ET Smith

How though? Even Rifftrax hasn't been able to do this without paying for the rights to the films.

Drew Acheson

This is going to be a huge boon for versions of movies that you react to which aren't available everywhere. There have been a couple that I have tried to watch that just kept getting out of sync because I couldn't find the same version you were watching and I just gave up, so I'm glad this will be a solved issue should it arise again.

Divinerights

Other Patreon channels I follow do it and have done it for everything and for YEARS at that

Ferdinand Tayo

I wish all reactors do this. Rob & Trin React where the first ones I saw do this.

Brien

Cool, Asia and BJ have been doing it for years and haven't seemed to have any issues.

SteveB

Yay!

AussieJojo

Agreed. They never seem to have issues with this side of it.

Cinebinge

Yes, as stated in the video and in the description, this is an additional third version. The usual patreon version with just us and no audio/visual that youve always been getting will continue to exist and be produced. This is just adding an other choice.

Cinebinge

unfortunately with movies we've done in the past we will likely be going alphabetically, this is so that we dont lose track of which has and has not been processed.

sarCC

[extremely Elle Fanning in THE GREAT voice] HUZZAH!

robodong

i like how base on no information from their conversation with lawyers, you just decided it mustve been bad advice. its their livelihood, i would venture to give them the benefit of the doubt that they took all the precautions and took every careful step to not risk their income.

Downside dn

Im more afraid FOR you guys, it feels like a legal no mans land... and i dont really want to see you guys be where they draw the line. Best wishes

AC10

OMG 😱😱😱 Y'all are already like the most profitable "reactors" I follow.... And now THIS!!! OMFG... Will this be the turning factor that cements you into the reactor hall of fame for generations to come!?!?! Maybe

robodong

i mean they mentioned it falls under fair use. so i presume they had lawyers review things. its their livelihood, i highly doubt they would risk that without being thorough. besides, theres channels 10 times bigger whos been doing this for years, YaBoyRoshi for example, dudes got 60k patreon subs and posts all the anime in their entirety, on patreon. and never has a japanese studio, you know famously litigious, done anything to him, hes making like quarter of a mil per month. i think at the end of the day studios dont really care to actually fire up expensive lawyers to do anything. they use bots and scrap for copyright. but anything beyond that, is it really worth spending tens of thousands of dollars on legal team to recoup what... a few grand at most from "potential revenue"?

Tay Schumaker

I honestly have no idea how they can get away with this,. I've seen Reel Rejects talk about channels getting shut down for doing this

Cinebinge

Yes it will include the audio track as a whole. The usual version without audio and visual will also continue to exist and be produced. this is just a third option.

Tay Schumaker

I'm not sure how providing a whole copy of a movie or TV show for no additional cost falls under fair use. By all means can they go for it, seems sketchy as hell when people are getting youtube strikes all the time for far less

AC10

I swear to God sooo many others have slingshotted past you because of this one thing.... Y'all are better... But a lot of your audience only watches on a single phone screen... So they Can't provide their own copy. I get it. But so many other creators have blown past you doing what you don't do.... Thank you for choosing to explore this EXTRA option. Don't delete the other options.... That would be stupid... But PLEASE add this.... We will all thrive.... If YouTube ever decides to end this.... Then you still have the original 2 options that you have thrived with up until this point.... This is just good business...

Sam

Oh this is too funny, you both literally talk so much over the films you're watching that even the IP owners can't legally justify the argument that you are actually watching the films.

robodong

which channel? cause ive seen waaaay more channels that has done it than those without. and a lot of those channels are bigger than S&G. theres also court cases for reactions where the reactor won. H3H3 had a whole courtcase over reaction and they won, theres literal precedence.

Tay Schumaker

They don't mention channels but you can see Greg mention it here, and RR has over 1 million subscribers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKLc7v-LNFo&t=3m5s To put what he said on that video here "sync up with your own copy, time code included. Cause it's flat out illegal to show the whole movie, look it up, and there are Patreon accounts that have been shut down for doing that. Because it's illegal. That's why we don't do it."

FranciscoGios

Well I’m so glad you two are taking another big leap for your channel. I hope this goes well for years to come. I used to follow creators doing the 3rd option, but there is that little voice saying otherwise. But I trust you guys

Dee

This is great, especially when there's a difference in platforms or versions of a films. I've had a couple of times where they wouldn't sync properly or consistently!

Tay Schumaker

I would really love to know the legal advice you got. Reel Rejects has 1.3 million youtube subscribers and have flat out said on their videos they don't do this on Patreon because it's illegal. See here: They don't mention channels but you can see Greg mention it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKLc7v-LNFo&t=3m5s To put what he said on that video here "sync up with your own copy, time code included. Cause it's flat out illegal to show the whole movie, look it up, and there are Patreon accounts that have been shut down for doing that. Because it's illegal. That's why we don't do it." EDIT: Like you think HBO is going to be okay you're putting full episodes of The Last of Us up that someone can watch without an HBO Max subscription just cause you talk over it? Really? Netflix won't let you share a password with your mom, but they're totally cool with you giving away Squid Games to thousands of people because you talk sometimes.

DinChild

George! Did you not have enough on your plate??? Thanks for thinking of the fans, tho. You're real people. I'm sure Simone is helping you...

Andrew Helmer

My phone just had a seizure with the number of new videos you just dropped . Awesome , congrats !!!!

robodong

yeah i mean thats a lot more vague than talking to a lawyer to get clearance. we dont know if these channels hes referring to are just ppl sitting there silently like SSSniperwolf, or if its full commentaries. we dont know if its just rebroadcasting movies without a reactor even. hell he could even just be making it up to justify not showing. theres so many channels that does this and has been around waaaay longer, with way more subs and has never had an issue. im just saying, i have trust in S&G that they did their research thoroughly.

LeperMessiah117

Well, one way this is good, for me at least, is sometimes whatever copy I have can fall out of sync with the copy you guys are viewing, for a variety of reasons I'm sure, depending on what it is. Won't be a massive concern anymore if this is the route we're taking.

Richard B

Just received 17 notifications, thanks George.🤣

Greg Johanson

Take whatever time but I would love to see the full nosfratu.

Tay Schumaker

I guess, just cause other channels have done it and not got shut down doesn't mean it's okay,. Just seems like a big risk to take, but they're going in eyes open apparently

Ian Hunt

Fair play, that’s a great idea, looking forward to digging into some old stuff when it’s ready (Chernobyl for example)

AC10

YES!!! FLOOD My notifications... Please... This is an amazing thing. 😬😬😬

Maarten Martens

Although it sounds too good to be true, I really hope this one is here to stay. Something tells me there is potential blowback but it was about time that reaction videos were recognized the wat they should! Great work to you and your fellow react friends!

vaguespirit

I think this is the biggest benefit out of this development.

Steve Valadez

That’s awesome! I always struggle to get the two videos synced just right.

Brandon

I had no idea that other reaction channels did this, or that it was even a possibility. It's a fantastic option for the innumerable movies that have multiple cuts. Thanks for this. 👍

Alex Ch

Just tried one (a few minutes of the severance pilot) and it works well. Thank you for the extra work and effort you put into these!

Jordan Barnes

Does this include Avatar??! That show is specifically why I started following your patreon but if you're able to upload season 1 again that would be AMAZING. And I guarantee if you list all 3 seasons of ATLA on the "here's what else is on patreon" portion of your YouTube videos you'll have a bunch of new patreon members, just based on comments I've read on the ATLA reactions and my own experience.

BoredLittleLady

I can finally stop telling my family to not disturb when I’m in sync with you guys. Hahaha. Seriously, I take over the living room.

Cinebinge

i just learned that we are in fact able to not send notifications with new posts. so we'll be doing that from now on lol.

Cinebinge

i just learned that we are in fact able to not send notifications with new posts. so we'll be doing that from now on lol.

robodong

dude why are you so mad about this? no ones forcing you to watch the third version. keep buying your copy and do the sync, theyre still providing it. i dont know why youre so worked up, its not your channel. like just let other people be happy?? i mean talk about personality not matching profile pic. you think Ted would ever get this mad about something that makes others happy and also has no affect on him personally?

Tay Schumaker

How am I mad? I’m worried they’re going to get shut down.

Duncan

I think it would be much improved if you cut down the size of the actual movie box in the center,a little bit and extended the size of George and Simone's area,so that they were a little more equal, right now it seems very cut off and uninviting that Simone and George are cut off in tiny little cramped boxes,it just looks too enclosed, plus you can't see George's cat in the uncovered

N.A. Vreugdenhil

I'm really hesitant about this because it will include volume. For example, Blind Wave has volume during their full length versions but it is so quiet and you basically have to sync up your own version anyways - which is way harder with two sources of the same movie audio, as opposed to with Cinebinge's where I don't need microsecond accuracy to enjoy the movie and reaction synced up relatively close. However, if the audio mix for these is done right, then this would be awesome!

2026-09-05 05:00 amazing-I think? I wonder how fast the film and tv studios will push law adjustments to not have this?
2025-05-19 23:05

Cinebinge

if you choose to watch this new third version, then there would be no need to sync your own copy. however we are keeping the previously existing version where the content is muted and covered so that should you want to have your own copy to adjust the volume to, you still can.

Andrew Helmer

honestly …. I thought it was awesome !!! I kept thinking “Hell Yeah George , flex on everyone and show them how much work you put in to get this done “ Amazing news you two !

Vengeance

Or movies where they watch an uncut version or directors cut and I don’t have that one lol

Tay Schumaker

That’s just blind wave not cutting out the ambient audio, not providing a full copy

N.A. Vreugdenhil

Awesome - and thanks for the reply! I'll give the new ones a try and see how I like it, but I appreciate keeping the muted version too :)

Trevor S

It's too bad there doesn't seem to be a standard where a single video file can have its movie and reactor audio levels controlled independently. Like if there was a separate channel just for them and an easy control in the video player to adjust either volume.

LeperMessiah117

Also valid. Happened to me with Friday the 13th where I owned the uncut version and not the theatrical.

jay

I love you guys so much for this! I was initially bummed upon seeing this notification thinking the old format was done, how silly of me to doubt you guys! Constantly showing why you guys are the best out & deserve nothing less than the world!

Tom Hess

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! I have a question: What about your earliest reactions, the ones that are no longer available? Saving Private Ryan (with Simone) ? The Star Wars films ? The Indiana Jones trilogy ? Do you guys still have the original files for those ? And any plans to release them "uncovered" ?

AussieJojo

There are other channels who have been doing it this way for years.

Fattydoe

If i was you. Just in case. Id keep all the current reactions that are blurred into a seperate file. So if law ever changes you wont have to go through and reedit every one again.

Anamondaris

This is the best thing ever for all of us watching on our phones!💜

AussieJojo

It’s a great feature, i watch a lot on my phone, and this is fantastic for that.

Cinebinge

those are unfortunately permanently gone. those really early content were done without much knowledge and we uploaded everything to YT assuming that if it didnt get rejected automatically, it was good and deleted the raw footage to save space. sadly we were wrong and learned the lesson the hard way.

Anamondaris

Also, I laughed pretty hard when you dumped all these videos and my Apple Watch just went bananas at work😂

Cinebinge

It will include season 2-4. S1 is unfortunately permanently gone. those really early content were done without much knowledge and we uploaded everything to YT assuming that if it didnt get rejected automatically, it was good and deleted the raw footage to save space. sadly we were wrong and learned the lesson the hard way.

rtt143

Thank you!!!!!!

Anamondaris

I was in the middle of a conversation at work when the notifications started hitting my watch😂

AussieJojo

100%. I joined their Patreon only last year but after two months stopped paying because I only watch on my phone. However, due to this change, I am now paid member again.

AC10

Thank you for sharing... I have two screens... But even me that was a highest tier supporter for multiple years lowered my support because I just got lazy... I'll admit it. I got lazy. But I also know a lot of people don't have a second screen so they don't really have the choice I did.

Ryan S.

Thank you for all you've done!

Tay Schumaker

Oh well if google says it. If you really think Time Warner would have 0 issue with them putting up full episodes of their shows where I can watch them without paying them money, then I don’t know what to tell you. If this is fair use why not post these full movies/tv shows to YouTube?

robodong

again, i dont know why youre being so hostile. neither of us are lawyers, S&G spoke to them, and to patreon, and to other creators who does the same. so i dont know why you think you would have more information than they do, or why you are getting so upset. they stand to have more to lose than any of us, so ill place my trust in them that they know what theyre doing. like just take some deep breathes and chill out man, youre being so aggressive for no reason.

BlindPanda

i have spent millions of dollars renting movies in order to watch with you guys so this is pretty awesome!

Tay Schumaker

I mean I actually am a lawyer, though I have no experience in this area. It just makes no common sense. Why would clipped videos get struck for copyright on YouTube, but there’s no issue with showing the full thing uncut and unblocked in Patreon? Just cause other reactors do it and haven’t gotten in trouble doesn’t mean it’s legal. But you’re right. It’s their livelihood, if they’re comfortable taking the risk it’s on them. I hope it works out for them.

djKENTO

While I hope you’ll be okay legally, this is soooo risky.

fadyq1326y1

" In addition to providing this third version to all new content, we will also be retroactively going back to providing a third version to all our older content, starting with tv shows. " I LOVE YOU BOTH! <3

Jack Mingle

Feels like a win for Reactions as a whole

overdev

hm pretty risky, I personally wouldnt do that, good luck^^

BellaBlue

plenty of other reactors are already ding this successfully

Inkpendude

Not big news. Colossal news!

Andrew H.

Thanks for the update and I honestly dont mind the notifications. Just glad you guys got some good news and cant wait for future uploads.

robodong

yayaya sure sure sure. if you say so my guy. but since you seem to love ted lasso so much, might i suggest you take some advice from that show and ted himself and you know, take a couple of deep breathes and take it easy k buddy? youre waaaay too worked up and angry.

Tay Schumaker

I’m not worked up at all. You seem to be pretty riled up though. You should try being curious and not judgmental.

Tyler Foster

Look, I understand that my opinion isn't really that important, I'm just one of many and there are going to be lots of different opinions, but personally I think this is a really bad idea and I do not understand what the appeal is for creators. One of the main arguments as to why studios should get behind reaction content instead of fighting it is because it encourages people to get their own copy. I think this is very much the kind of behavior that is going to make studios want to crack down even more than they already are, and from what I'm hearing that's already pretty intense. All I can say is, I have never understood why people find it hard to sync, I didn't see a lot of people complaining about this, and I feel like the people who are complaining about it are just simply a little bit lazy. I personally will be very disappointed and skeptical if this becomes the norm among reactors, and I also wouldn't be surprised it causes significant problems on everybody's end in the future.

RLYtoxic

I'm a traditional watcher, still like to sync my movie. But this will help with some of the movies, where I can't find the right version or in some cases the version isn't running at the same speed.

Sam

NGL that sound dangerous, copyright wise, as a lot of channels who do this are smaller than you, anyway I don't care for this, if you keep giving us the way you did before I am happy. I just hope you will upload these on a different channel( or patron only) to protect ur main channel. Anyway good luck with this as long as we get the normal muted reactions and it doesn't cause problems to you guys, I don't mind.

Sam

Ye most of them are way smaller tho.

Sam

Why? You can even use "in picture" on pretty much every phone these days.

robodong

it already is the norm. more channels do this than dont.

Sam

I just hope it doesn't backfire as even just audio falls under copyright in a lot of countries, I hope they got a good lawyer to tell them this is fine, as it seems really fishy to me.

robodong

ya i aint the one posting the same block of text over and over again lmao. look man, at the end of the day, its neither of our business, and i seriously cannot fathom why it bothers you this much, as if you personally have something to lose here. anyways im done here, i rather enjoy the hundreds of people this is clearly making very happy, than you and like 2 others who seems to only be able to complain and shit on the parade. as ive seen you done in so many other posts before. all you ever do is complain.

Tay Schumaker

Over and over, you mean twice? Once in a comment and once as its own post so it would get more visibility? I’m not complaining, why would this upset me? I’m genuinely curious as to how this could be legal and concerned for them. You seem to be the one obsessed. Looking at my past posts in other videos and characterizing me a certain way based on that? That’s weird man. I’m not sure why it bothers you this much, as if you personally have something to lose here.

Tyler Foster

For what it's worth, I do also think all reaction content that is edited and any blurred reaction full lengths should universally be considered exempt from the attempts to copyright claim. To me that seems like a perfect system: The edited content is transformed into commentary and thus is not infringing on the original film, and you can't see or hear the film at all in the full length video.

Pat Poling

Thank you. Very nice addition to your content. Lots of work and thank you for doing that for all of us.

Jared Winn

I was scared when I got 20 emails in a minute. Am I being cyber bullied?!? This is great. I’m looking forward to watching the things I couldn’t previously because of regional differences or lack of availability. So much more Simone and George to enjoy.

Kim

Always thought that having this all in one is the way to go. I’m a big believer in KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid. Thanks guys.

Astraeos

Lmao same. Seeing all the notifications, I was like "Oh god, what did I say now" This is a super cool change/addition! Will definitely make things easier when there are multiple versions, sometimes with only minute differences. No more syncing problems!

Eric Mc Daniel

I agree, when they did Child's Play, I had my DVD ready to go, but their copy in the background wasn't timed similarly to mine. Made it very difficult to watch

Eric Mc Daniel

So unfortunate. When I discovered your channel, Star Wars wise, you just had ROTS, and Indiana Jones was just the second and third. I basically assumed that was the situation.

Brent bmc_comix

Yeah, different cuts/versions is always an issue for me, I was literally a dj during the Blues Brothers watchalong lol

Deadly Ramon

Wow, I love this new feature, and am quite pleasantly surprised that it's legal. My wifi signal is pretty spotty, so not having to stream two separate videos simultaneously should make for a smoother experience. Thanks for implementing this and for pledging to apply this retroactively to your vast catalog!

PastaDon

Wow after reading the comments, didn't realize how many people watch on their phones.. not me, can't see shit on that thing.. I wait to watch on my 55' at home, can see Simone's nose hairs and everything.... 🤨 For real tho, appreciate the work you guys put in, very exciting news, well worth the price of admission!

Daniel Bjork

I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that this is the best announcement in the history of mankind

Happy Hanukkah

3:16 S: "We hope that this little video isn't super obnoxious." G: "Yeah, we'll include the whole transcript ... in case you don't want to watch." A good thing too! I'm only interested in the actual content, not in watching you two yammering away!!! ... ... ... Waitaminute... :-) Thanks for the initiative, and I hope this all goes smoothly.

Ron

uncovered videos: I have to agree with some of the concerns that others have with this. I hope it works out well for you, but I'd recommend at least creating and publishing the blurred version as well just in case you have to reverse course down the road. Also, maybe make a spreadsheet with links to the uncovered videos so that you can more easily take them down later if needed. On the plus side, on the rare occasion when you react to a video which is a version which I don't have, this definitely helps.

PastaDon

Anyone remember the name of that school project film, or maybe it was just a indie short film Simone was in.. She played an A.I. robot or something I think.. some of the best most awkward stuff.. looked for it under the collections tab, but couldn't find it.. maybe doing a title search it'll pop up..

Dragonhunter

Pretty worried about this to be honest. Hope it works out.

p0sthum4n

I support this fully as long as you don't get stung. You guys and Mr. Video have always been my favorite reactors, and he's always been my favorite "I just need something to put on" guy because I don't have to put in any effort finding a source or syncing up or anything.

Anamondaris

Yeah I’m aware of “in picture” but running one app and streaming only one video is much easier on the battery

Tyler Foster

@BeninLabour I watch a pretty high number of channels and this would be the first one to do it this way that I watch, out of some 20+ channels.

Tucci

That's VERY surprising. But awesome if true.

robodong

man there are literally thousands of reaction channels, 20 is not even 1%. off the top of my head SortStupid, Asia and Bj, Mr Guy, and YaBoyRoshi whos got like 60k subs on patreon. full on posting everything on here directly. that dude is easily raking in quarter of a million dollars a month.

TheNeonRabbit

LOVE this. I usually skip the full-length ones just because it's a hassle to get 'em synced then do it again every time I have to pause.

Joel Flores

I just cancelled my Patreon , i will re subscribe , ty guys this is amazing news

Jared Winn

Most recently Pitch Black for me. Had to keep looking down at my phone to see why they were reacting to something and realized they skipped ahead 15 seconds.

Chris B

Absolutely YES. To be honest I tend to stay a patreon of creators who do an uncovered version for a lot longer. It just makes things a lot easier without syncing (which sometimes is a b..ch due to different versions on different streaming sites etc. and you end up re-syncing during the watch). This is awesome news.

Carlos H

Cool. It will be nice to watch your vids directly without prep. And it will be easier to watch on the go. I never really had an issue syncing up. I guess i got so use to the process. i have been watching react content since the Game of thrones Red wedding, days.

YukoValis

All I ask is that you listen to the majority of feedback. You might get people not liking how you do this change, but I guess we can't know until we see it.

PastaDon

Yesss, That's it.. Thank you!

Florian

Thats crazzzzy, thank you ❤️ I looked at my mails in the morning and there where like 10 Patreon mails, and I thought, well again something fucked up. Than I realized the update post and where blown away🫶. There are a bunch of movies I had to search for a copy or go to 5 streaming services, using VPN‘s until I found the movies and now they are all there 🤗. Thanks a lot thats really a huge service!

Florian

The project that must not be named 🤫

ExquisiteCapybara

Thats great news and i hope it will always be a third option. Giving us the option of still synching our own copy for volume reasons or because we might need subtitles for the movie is a really great move. (also the patreon vidoe player is kinda shit sometimes)

Opti_Frog

Seems a bit risky to me, but this will certainly be nice when there are several versions of a movie and you're watching one that is hard to get hold of.

Klopirat

great to hear (or read :c) )!

Dan Holmes

Will we get the A24 movies back?

Dan Holmes

This sounds impossible? But cool I’m onboard for as long as it lasts

TheYo Show

I'm so glad. I've seen other creators on Patreon watch full shows and films without needing to synch up so woohoo!

Young Blood Priest

S&G, will you be able to keep up with the comments with some many different versions of each upload?

Turnt SNACO

I've been nothing less than surprised at how many more content creators I've seen uploading reactions with the full film included, especially when I've heard things about channels being shut down for doing exactly that (though it does raise into question what the specifics were of the channels that have been shut down). Up until now, I've assumed it was an incredibly risky move, since I can definitely understand the movie studio's viewpoint of, you are essentially redistributing their movie in a sense, even if it is slightly altered. It means people literally don't have to pay for or own the movie that they are literally watching via your channel/reaction - And this isn't like a let's play where they aren't really experiencing the joy of playing the game themselves, Watching a movie with someone else's commentary over can still provide more or less the same experience as watching the film without the commentary. That said, I know how seriously y'all take this channel/career choice of yours, and you have clearly done more than a respectable amount of research on the matter - and I know you wouldn't have come to the conclusion to do this if you weren't absolutely confident that you weren't doing anything wrong in doing so. I still think the more creators do this, it's probably only a matter of time before movie studios try to take some kind of action, and there might be some sort of legit legal debate we might see stem from all this.....but at the end of the day, as long as you know your channel and operations won't be compromised, even if accommodating adjustments have to be made in the future as things unfold, that's what really matters. But I know you're too smart to put everything on the line over a bit of convenience for us as viewers, so your confidence in the matter is honestly very eye opening to me.

Ryan Johnson

Yeah, I agreed with you when I first listened to their video. I'm an attorney and my first reaction to their post was that they need to get a better attorney. But then I thought about how they're going about it. While they are opening themselves up to some risk, they probably aren't in much more danger of losing their YouTube channel because they're hosting the uncovered versions on Patreon's video service, not YouTube. It's also behind a paywall, so the studios copyright bots might not necessarily be able to detect it as they normally would. Also, Patreon doesn't seem to have a three strikes and your channel is gone policy. Even if the studio does some kind of manual DMCA claim on the patreon, the Youtube shouldn't be affected by that. Patreon might just tell them to take down those offending videos. While I think its inevitable that Patreon will eventually get sued by studios for allowing this and that will lead to an inevitable policy change, until then we should just enjoy this. But I think George and Simone will largely be fine while enjoying a subscriber boost in the meantime.

8bitAndy

Interesting. So no more hosting full length watch-alongs on youtube? Gotta say I love that! Any move away from YT is a step in the right direction.

BangDroid

This seems too good to be true, so I am anticipating developments. A significant criteria for fair use aside from whether the work is transformative, is whether it serves as a market substitute; that is, can a person substitute the genuine copyrighted works with the reaction versions as a means of outright consuming the media. Also we all know that just because a works may fall well and clearly within fair use and the law, YouTube and other hosts do not operate to the same interpretation of the law, often siding with media companies. Companies who are well known to weaponize the law to their own end, who have teams of lawyers on retainer who can make life difficult not just for individuals, but even Patreon such as filing complaints with payment processors that Patreon depend on. I can see that you're not using YouTube for the Uncovered version which is good, but that means any battle will be held between the lawyers of Patreon and the copyright holders on probably a video to video basis. Here's hoping and praying this goes well and Patreon are able to stand their ground without needing lawyers, although some new and strong case law would be nice too!

gfixler

I love it. I will still use the two-videos method for things I'm more invested in, because of the audio thing (sometimes I have to rewind and mute you guys to hear some dialogue, and sometimes I have to mute some explosions to hear what you're saying), but also so I can full screen parts of things I want to see better. But then other times I just I don't want to bother with managing two videos, because I'm not that into a particular movie, but still want to watch, partly for completionism's sake, and partly for all the juicy George and Simone lore spread throughout every reaction, but it's tedious when my internet causes one to pause and go out of sync, etc. Nice to have this handy second option!

Björn Swendsén

This is good news, I hope it won't cause any problems. There were so many old uploads of stuff I wan't to rewatch with you guys, but the syncing was always a hassle. Looking forward to being notification-bombed!

James Lawson

Awesome news! I did wonder when I opened my updates on my inbox and it was a wall of Cinebinge :D Exciting stuff! I often like to have you on one screen and the movie on another, but for things I am re-watching this will be so awesome! Keep up being brilliantly entertaining <3

Fabio Scuderi

Hi, this is great news, i love it. As a non-native speaker, sometimes i sync with a version with english subtitles. If there is a easy way to add to this versions the option for the subtitles it would be great, please consider it. Otherwise no problem, i will continue to sync with my own version:

Perry Campbell

Thanks for doing this. Just became a member because u did this.

MasterElodin

I really hope you're gonna be safe with this and not get into legal trouble. But apart from that this is awesome especially for some of the movies that are straight up impossible to find in the version you watched so I'm looking forward to finally be able to watch those :) Thank you for the insane amount of work to reupload everything with another version!

Shibby

This is so awesome. You guys are the best :D

BzzBzzBzzBzzBzz

Aaaahhhhmazing!! Especially great for those of us not living in the US and do not want to use a vpn. There are a ton of film reactions I have seen yet because of this. Thank you both sooo much for daring to try this and for all of your hard work implementing this change and for all of your hard work in general keeping us entertained by being yourselves in front of the camera. You guys are the best

Jasbro

This is actually huge and i didnt even know it was possible, i have not seen anyone else i follow do this (yet) so hopefully they will also follow suit. There have been more than a few reactions i couldnt watch because i just cannot find that version of the movie you're watching, so this is a big game changer.

dieselbeast

This seems highly illegal lmao but not my issue, I'll just enjoy lol

Alex Laime

Love it. I hope this works out.

Simon Clifton

As a Luddite, I never managed to accurately sync my copy with your commentary, so I'm so thrilled you're offering this! I know this may entail a lot of work but are there any plans to roll this out to previous reactions or is it a going forward only plan?

robodong

the post straight up tells you in writing and in the video.. "In addition to providing this third version to all new content, we will also be retroactively going back to providing a third version to all our older content, starting with tv shows. "

Danny Bryant

Who has two thumbs and luvs this update. ?? This Guy!! Also, as an aside, I was getting the ton of notification that George mentions and was like WTF. Again, love this update. Thanks George and Simone for all you do.

Alexrandom

I'll still get my own copies because I like to get the best quality possible but for the rare occurrence where my version isn't the same as yours it's great news 👍

Simon Clifton

Sorry, you EXPECT me to pay attention and actually READ the information freely given rather than skimming and making half-baked comments?

Tom Hess

Sad, but makes sense. Thanks :-)

Charles

I know it would be extra work, but would it be possible to add these to their own collection so we know what older content doesn't have it yet?

Cinebinge

do you mean a collection that comprises of every "uncovered" version? if so, there now exists a tag called "uncovered version" that does exactly that. but for movies specifically, you can also check by scrolling down to the bottom of the collection page where all the tags are listed, and you can see that all movies have a number 2 next to them right now, that means theres 2 versions to each tag, a YT cut and a Patreon version. when the Uncovered version is added, it will become a 3. for tv shows, it will be a bit trickier so the current plan is to just make an announcement every time a show has been fully processed. Alternatively, we can also just make a post once a month that lists out every show and movie thats been processed that month.

Charles

Oh yeah that is what I meant. I don't use patreon much but I should have thought of looking for tags. And yes, I did mean add every uncovered version into its own big collection. Any other way would have been too much work but I think looking at tags will be sufficient, thanks!

gfixler

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that. There are maybe 2 I never watched, because I simply couldn't track down a copy anywhere.

802jay

My employer doesn't thank you for this change :) BUT I DO!

Dan Holmes

to celebrate you should watch through a single season masterpiece like Freaks and Geeks or Westworld!

Odd Thomas

I'm watching The Last of Us on NowTV and the sync is always a b**** so this might be a blessing. Will have to try it out.

Duncan

In the intro of every ''Reel Rejects'' video, when they are discussing syncing up,they specifically say ''We can't show you the full movie,as that would be illegal'' Blind Wave also follow the same strategy as Reel Rejects. and you would assume that they would know more than anyone,so just be careful guys, hope you have done the proper research and good luck with it.

JD Nevesytrof

So I have no doubt this has been asked many times before and I apologize, but I'm assuming Trek will be done in interlaced chronological order, so that TNG will begin after Star Trek IV, and then Star Trek V will be done after TNG S2E19, etc?

24fps_

I mean, this is cool. But are you guys sure about this? I'm no copyright expert but this seems like some kind of legal limbo to me. *edit*: I hadn't watched the video when I typed the initial msg. So I guess you did your due diligence.

DonkyDave

Insane announcement, hope it doesn't get you in trouble. I prefer to watch separately on another screen but there are times when you watch a slightly different version I can't find and it's super annoying for something I really want to watch.

ArchjSM

This is a great option because some movies I just can't get my hand on for whatever reason!

Dana Wayne

Full-length movies and shows - count me in! I hope for the best - I really, really do, but I cant see this holding up in court. You would essentially become a new streaming service. Why would I subscribe to Netflix or Prime or even go to the theaters anymore if I could just watch full-length movies and shows on cinebbinge, mary cherry or dashaTV (mmmm….dasha) - or any of the other hundred reaction channels that would pop up. What happens if I start showing “Cinebinge Films” at work or in a bar or a gym? Oh and just wait until Magic Magy and her OnlyFans homies get wind of this - if neo-erotic cosplay interpretive dance isn’t “additional commentary” - I don’t know what is. Of course the lawyers are going to say “Sure, go ahead” - Saul Goodman style - there’s no consequences if they’re wrong - except more billable hours. And unless you have something in writing from Patreon - this would put them head-to-head with the entire Entertainment Industry - let’s see how long their loyalty will last. Not as loyal as the Crew of the Starship Enterprise I would think! I watch cinebinge when i come home to SEVER my connection with work. But if people start streaming full audiobooks and music or “reacting” to full-semester college course material - why I’d be on Patreon all day!

Life in the cave of Garanoga

Great news. There are a few I'd like to watch with you two but just can't afford to purchase, rent or stream. I've actually subscribed to a few streaming services just to watch some of them lol. That being said, ditto, everyone should support the original content whenever you can.

Tay Schumaker

Yeah I posted a link in this comment thread where Greg specifically says they don't do this because it's illegal. And they have 1 million + subscribers. I've asked who they talked to and what legal guidance they got saying this was okay, but haven't seen an answer. I can't see how this is legal at all. And when the big channels aren't doing it for legality reasons, you have to wonder

Swede for the table

I hope it works! It would be amazing!! But keep the old versions until we know it works!

Jon Parada

Awesome I’m subbed to Asia and BJ too and they also do it uncovered they just host on Vimeo and not YouTube. Now I can watch on my tv via my phone awesome news.

brce

Cinebinge

was this suppose to be a "gotcha"? we're well aware of their existence and has never tried to stop them. we figured anyone who feels that we're worth supporting will do so and thats good enough for us.

Logan Kerlee

This is fantastic news!! I big like this! :) It'll make things so much easier and use up less bandwidth while watching - I'm most stoked about that, as syncing things up has become the norm for me. :)

Logan Kerlee

Big yup on this! Important to keep the old versions just in case something goes down later. :)

Logan Kerlee

I'd be down for either but I'd more be for Freaks and Geeks. :)

Logan Kerlee

I'm a bit confused by this as well - but hey, if it works out - awesome! If not - we've got the original way to fall back on.

Logan Kerlee

Right, yeah. I've watched nearly EVERYTHING that they've reacted to but there are one or two that slid by me because I was unable to watch. Stoked that this change is happening. :)

Mark Alex Leach

Oh, that's jolly good tidings! I've already gone through several of your uncovered postings, and really enjoyed stuff that I had no chance of finding, or didn't want to buy, as I knew nothing about it. Thank you guys so much!

JD Nevesytrof

Whoops, I got my question answered in an old Season 2 episode, release order which is what I meant, not chronological order. Great!

LazyBoy Stays Up Late Watchin Video Tapes

Glad there will be options, Mux player I don't like for sync as it gets overloaded around 40mins prior to needing to refresh the browser. But I suppose, no sync, no problem.

megamoo chilli

Yay! I saw 25 notifications and I thought something had gone down.

GoodManTheDan

Love the convenience of this. I already have all the main streaming platforms and I won't be getting rid of them. I'll also continue to rent the rare movie that I don't already have so no change to supporting the original content creator. It will be nice to not have to sync, not have to pause two videos as quickly a possible etc. So happy. Thanks.

Actuarial Lurker

Excellent- since Simone is an actress and George is a videographer- may I suggest that FUTURE reactions ADD more comments on lighting, camera angles, acting choices etc. Many movie reaction channels- NOT yours- are pretty facile with "that was cool" or just emotional reactions to the content. If you reacted to the CRAFT I think you would set yourselves worlds apart and possibly protect yourself even more since the commentary would be more critique on style and approach on top of just enjoying the movie. I follow several other movie channels where the creators were film majors or cinematographers and add that nuance

Tinfoilnation

It usually takes me about an hour to put together your patreon only version with my version and export the result, with balanced audio complete with Ducking. Premiere Pro Thing which, George if you haven't used you should. Ducking automatically lowers the audio of one track when another track comes up - so if you or Simone start talking it drops it by -4dB. I have *252* films, Fallout and Chernobyl. If you want to save yourself some time hit me up and I'll send you a sampler. ;)

DonkyDave

Or maybe THEY just keep DOING what they've BEEN doing successfully for YEARS

Tom Hess

Ah, that's the word I was looking for. Ducking. Yeah they need to use ducking. I've listened to 2 or 3 "uncovered" versions so far and when the film gets loud you can't hear them.

Tinfoilnation

Yup. Without it it's frustrating to have G&S talking and not be able to hear what they're saying 'cuz there's s'plosions going on or something like that. Normalize audio track (by setting max peak) of the film to -4dB Normalize audio track of Reaction to -1dB So G&S are now 2dB louder at all times by default Then duck the film track against reaction track at -4dB so any time G&S speak the film ducks down to a total of -6dB which is sufficient for all but the loudest of loud movies. I can hear dialog of both without having to constantly fiddle with the volume. :D

Mark Polo

This is awesome!! There's been so many times where I've synced some movie up with you guys and then my version has a different framerate than your video and then I get disappointed that it can't be done 😐

sarCC

Also, great job on getting so many "uncovered" versions up so quickly! Thank you!

FrancescoTakesItEasy

I didn't even realize this was an issue for some - especially the bandwidth thing, since I usually only watch along if I have a physical copy of the film in my extended collection. Glad there's an option for those who need it. You guys are continuously going above and beyond.

John Hennessy

This makes it a lot easier to watch your full length reactions on the go - thank you!

Tyler Foster

My understanding is that this is a "letter of the law" versus "spirit of the law" argument. All reaction content technically meets the definition of "transformative" -- I watch the reaction to see what George and Simone think, not to watch the movie; if I wanted to watch the movie I would just put on the movie. That said, I do think this is also pretty obviously a form of piracy, and I would not be shocked if even though this is technically legal, it would not be technically legal enough to have a judge rule in their favor if it actually went to court. Just because they can do it and it is technically covered doesn't mean they should do it and that it will be.

Tyler Foster

Also also, since "uncovered version" is in the post title you could just search "uncovered" using the search function and they should all come up.

Tyler Foster

I believe it has already been many months since they won the A24 claim due to A24's inactivity and stated that A24 movies were again hypothetically fine for the channel.

Tyler Foster

So, how many do you watch that you can say this is more the norm than the blurred version?

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

Let me put it this way: I have had no problem at all with renting or buying films to watch along with you guys 2 to 3 times a week because your entertainment value is 100% worth it. That said I greatly appreciate the money this will save. You guys are the best!

Dan Holmes

weird, must've missed that one, they were all removed last time i checked but they're back now lol

Sam

Well most of the "major" channels dont do this, its usually smaller channels or not exclusively movie reaction channels who do this. I agree with Tyler, especially the way CB does it or with the blurred picture as most others do it , there is no way people stuggle to sync with that, and yes with this kind of format I can understand studios going after reactors. I am just glad they add this and dont replace the old versions as I hate this kind of style.

robodong

not true actually, H3H3 literally won a court case over their commentary reaction of someone else's content. theres already legal precedence.

Sam

Yes but almost every channel I can think of is quite a bit smaller than CB so they wouldnt draw as much attention, I cant think of a single channel with a bigger or similar audience size as CB that does this, but I might just not know/remember them as I dont stay subscribed to channels who only do the "uncovered version" as I dont like it and rather sync my own copies.

robodong

most major? cant get any more major than YaBoyRoshi. hes literally the 8th largest creator on Patreon as a whole, like across all genres. hes number 8. 25,000 paying members, making literally millions and shows everything. for years. thats about as major as you can get. Even SortaStupid guys are bigger than CB.

robodong

Samuel you really need to look up YaBoyRoshi's patreon lol. you can actually just search for his Patreon creator account data. hes estimated to earn quarter of a million every month by posting the full thing, anime too not just US stuff. japanese studio shit, the kind that they love to lawsuit and take down over.

Tyler Foster

I have never heard of him. Asia & BJ yes, but the other three you named, I don't know their videos.

Sam

I don't know anything about the legality of it all, but my intuition is that you are right about the knock-on effect. It's like handing out pirated copies of a film and saying "as long as you sporadically talk over it, no harm no foul". People seem to think copyright laws are some kind of punishment, as if having to pay for stuff is oppression. Now, I'm not saying that reaction channels showing unfiltered films in full are going to topple the movie industry... but they might have a seriously negative effect on the reaction channels. And I would also argue that the reaction channels that see this as a "win" for them are being unethical and self-serving, because it certainly isn't a win for the film makers—you know, the ones producing 99% of the content they're profiting from.

Tyler Foster

I don't hold it against the reactors that much. So many of their viewers are completely oblivious to PAL speedup (a blight!) and there have been times where they've snagged the wrong cut (like Crank, where they got a director's cut that was only ever released in Germany and never on streaming). They're trying to respond to what the people want. But there's that old warping of "the customer is always right." The customer is always right about what they WANT. That doesn't mean they're right to say they deserve it, and as previously mentioned, I just don't care at all about catering to the laziness here. There are edited reactions you can watch if you don't want to sync. There are plenty of places to get the films. It's not that tricky.

robodong

Sam copyright law isnt black and white, and very much grey when it comes to fair use. technically, all of Twitch, every kind of Lets Play videos can be copyrighted, because it shows the content, the same goes for fan art, all of Etsy is technically against Copyright. and some times companies like Nintendo utilizes that loop hole to take down fan creations. But theres also been legal precedence on Commentary and Reactions already, where the reactor and commentator won the law suit. Something being legal does not automatically mean ethical and something being illegal does not automatically mean unethical either. dont need to go very far back in laws around the world to get ample examples of that. Besides, Netflix and Amazon now controls nearly every movie and tv show, they take nearly all the earnings and the original creators get fucked over, just ask the Squid Game show runners if they saw any difference whether reactors exist or not. Lastly, Netflix became popular because it was SLIGHTLY less pain in the ass than just torrenting, and they had no ads back then. Now? All the streaming platforms are just back to being old tv again, but worse. They dont care about their customers, and Jeff Bezos doenst need another yacht.

robodong

Tyler Foster, its fair enough you might not know them cause they do primarily anime. which is even more litigious, they are to the point of callous and deliberately cruel towards fans. So the fact that these massive channels faces no issues still, says a lot.

Tyler Foster

Netflix and Amazon only have copyright control over their own films and shows, which for the latter includes MGM, as Amazon bought them. That leaves everything from A24, Disney (which owns 20th Century Fox and controls Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures), Lionsgate, Paramount (which purchased the Miramax and Dimension catalogs), Sony (which includes Columbia and Tri-Star), Universal, and Warner Bros., plus several other smaller distributors. Netflix and Amazon do not receive any right to copyright claim movies they license for streaming. So I don't see how those two companies control "most" media, even contemporary media (most of what Netflix produces, the company that is probably responsible for the content that has received most reaction content between the two of them, between "Stranger Things," "Squid Game," and various movies, is far newer than the vast majority of content on reaction channels)

robodong

control comes in more form than just direct ownership. these 2 dominate the market entirely, with apple, paramount and hbo holding most of whats left. this means that filmmakers has no choice but to bow down to them in an incredibly disfavorable dealings just to get their films and tv shows seen. yeah they still get paid, but you can't tell me Amazon doesnt always get the better end of the deal by just blocking everyone else out. like Google did with search engines, once they dominate, the product gets crappier and crappier with more and more ads. and we, the consumer are always the real product. but like many others i dont wanna give amazon money. or netflix or apple. these people and companies are rich enough and are actively trying to make their platforms worse so they can earn just a bit more. so, just like the early 2000s when a cheaper or free option, people go to it and these companies will fight and fight and eventually adapt. limewire needed to exist first for youtube and spotify to be born, and now these places have become the villain, the same cycle has to happen. copyright law, or any law, is never end all be all black and white forever etched in stone. even the commandments changed over time, much less laws around digital products. legality is not morality.

Tyler Foster

Your comment makes more sense in the context of "how do I watch the movie if I don't have a copy." My POV is: all I care about is the reactors being on the right and safe side of the law. What the audiences do is irrelevant to me. My concern is not piracy, just that the reactors don't get in trouble.

robodong

the reactors are the consumers too. but more so, my original point is that the law around all of this is very grey and not nearly as black and white and defined as people think. dont forget that Lets Play videos for games at one point was considered "illegal" and studios initially tried to sue youtubers for posting those videos, when twitch was just justin.tv, they had a loooot of problems. eventually studios realized its better to work with lets players than to sue them, and the attitude changed, so did the laws. and those law changes encompasses commentary too. I would be more in agreement if S&G is doing what SSSniperwolf does, and just sit there silently saying "cool" every once in a while. but their videos are full on commentaries, sometimes to the annoyance of us viewers cause they talk TOO much lol.

Adam

I hope you do this for Band of Brothers, too.

ManuG20dt3

This is awesome. No more having to occasionally pay more on top of all the subscriptions I already have to hang with my favorite reactors in full. I just watch the Severance 2 reaction and it was perfect. I am also looking forward to the older catalogue being updated with this option too. Some of the previous reactions I've considered rewatching but the hassle of finding the original content again and dealing with the sync...

2026-09-05 05:00 That is going to be a lot of work. You guys need an intern. You could pay them in leftover pizza and Cinebinge gear, and throw them the occasional cat treat if they were doing a good job.

Ginger

I don't know if you're interested in recommendations but I'd suggest doing Hero and the original Nosferatu early, as many people had problems getting the versions you watched. :) <3

Ginger

It's definitely making life easier for Europeans like me who have many things on PAL DVDs.

FrancescoTakesItEasy

That is something I definitely understand, being from the EU myself. Still have a few of those PAL DVDs on the shelf, but the majority has been replaced.

maikeru

and Abyss

Tom Hess

Stargate: they watched the theatrical cut, very hard to get. Dances with Wolves: they watched the theatrical cut, very hard to get (my fault, I recommended it haha).

Sam

I appreciate the law around this may be a grey area, but I'm not sure, in this case, it should be. I mean, it's all very well talking about massive companies like Amazon and Netflix, who can absorb financial losses, but if the rule is to be universalized—in a Kantian categorical imperative sort of way—then there is nothing stopping reactors showing some super low budget indie film—whose creators rely on their film actually making money to make more films and earn a living—in it's entirety, with some sporadic chit-chat over it. I appreciate this is a hypothetical, but surely it is just this kind of hypothetical that copyright law is meant to guard against. And what's more, those smaller independent film makers will rarely have the financial backing to challenge it. Therefore, allowing such use could harm those least equipped to defend against it.

robodong

Sam, no one is stopping you or anyone from buying the movies of those indie filmmakers whether or not reactors exist. its not one or the other. I often pirate games first then buy a copy after if i found it worth the money. Secondly, the opposite of what you say can also happen. an indie movie maker reaches out to a reactor as a free advertisement platform by giving them a copy to react to. game studios have now been doing it for over a decade with lets plays. you assumed the worst of everyone because "well if i can see it here with 2 ppl talking over it, i will there for never ever buy a copy for myself to just watch". thats an extremely pessimistic and black and white view of people in general.

Sam

Okay, let’s say I make a film. It cost me $50,000—think Clerks-level budget. I max out my credit cards, borrow money from my parents, and pour everything into this project. I host it exclusively on my website, charging $5 to watch. Ten reaction channels buy it. I make $50. Each of them streams my film in full, completely unobscured, to an audience of 1,000 viewers. Now my work has been seen by 10,000 people—none of whom paid me, but who did pay the reactors. I’ve lost all my money and can’t afford to make another film. I still owe the bank and my parents $50,000, and those reaction channels essentially stole the work I spent years creating. If the law says that’s okay, then I think it’s a bad law (I appreciate Fair Use is a defense not a right). And I think anyone who endorses that as a rule either hasn’t thought it through, doesn’t really care about art, or is just morally wrong. The truth is, we need a clear and general rule to protect creators from having their work monetized by others without consent. And don’t pretend what I’m saying is unreasonable—if you made a film and saw it being streamed in full, for free, by people making money off your effort while you made nothing, wouldn’t you think that was unjust? Would you really trust the public to then go out and buy it—or worse, pirate it—after they’d already seen it for free? It’s a ridiculous and unsustainable situation for independent creators. And the fact that people are defending it under some vague idea of “fair use” or cultural sharing is just adding insult to injury.

robodong

lmao jesus christ that is just dumb. you just invented an entire scenario from start to finish based on an incredibly incorrect and a set of astoundingly naïve assumptions of how indie films are made and distributed, and you thought that proved any point? but to actually answer your absurd premise of a question that completely showcases how little you understand how these things work, yes. if i have fuck all money and scraped together a little film, i wouldnt mind people pirating it because at least people are watching it. you just assume that without the pirates my film would still some how reach 1000 paying customers, like its a movie studio game on steam that once i click release, people will just auto know it. having something i made get picked up by someone with a bigger audience is always better for an art career in the long term. because even if 1000 ppl pirated it, a percentage of them will deem my creation good enough to buy it or, keep an eye out for the next one and buy that. having my creation become word of mouth and reach the ears of financiers is MUCH MORE lucrative than 1000 copies sold and done. and thats base on your imaginary magic land that people will just auto buy cause it exists. look, you aint gonna change my mind and ngl i really couldnt care less what you believe in. but heres the thing, no ones forcing you to be here. you are veeery welcome to just leave with your high horse and go feel superior elsewhere.

Sammartz81

Hey guys, first time commenter here, I love that we'll now be getting uncovered version of everything. If its ok I would like to make one suggestion, I believe George is the main editor of the vids (love the edits) but I would recommend looking into audio ducking, especially for the uncovered vids. Its sometimes difficult to hear you guys speak over the movie or show audio, with audio ducking it would lower the audio of whatever we are watching whenever you guys speak, just so it makes it easier to hear you. I would prefer to be able to hear your commentary over show audio.

erosennin

This is great news. Especially for all those movies that have a ton of different versions with miniscule changes where you're getting desynced every couple minutes for no good reason other than a single shot lingered a few seconds longer. Overall I don't mind using my own version, but for some movies it's a real hassle.

erosennin

I hope you do this for City of God. I had a hard time finding a decent version to watch along with subtitles and no ads, paid or otherwise.

KL

Wait, you've got a bear with you?!? Just when I thought you guys couldn't get any more Canadian.

2026-09-05 05:00 Oh, does this mean that from a legal standpoint, YouTube has been stomping their giant robot feet on our First Amendment rights all this time, and we now have a legal basis to sue? Huh, interesting.
2025-05-25 20:20

E G

The first amendment doesn't come into play on private platforms like YouTube. Not to mention the fact that YouTube reserves the right to terminate accounts for any reason or no reason at all in their TOS.

Robban6948

As I am writing this (26/5) I just received this notification for this vid. I have been fucking confused about what the hell uncovered means! Love you guys! 😀

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

As usual just want to say big kudos, well done and 👊 for the massive editing undertaking you’re doing for a catalogue this size. Hope you’re getting good sessions of gaming and life in between dudes

Ferdinand Tayo

Uncovered means the movie/show is no longer blurred on Patreon, and you don't need your copy to sync and watch along.

Robban6948

Well yeah, I know that now! But thank you! 🫡

Senjak

Great news! Please watch Andor, thank you.

John Welch

This is amazing news. I love your reactions but I watch them usually while I’m working from home and it really is more convenient to have a set it and forget it type of situation. The time I have to spend syncing episodes if I wanna watch let’s say a marathon of your TOS reactions can get annoying lol. I was never going to complain about it but hearing this makes me so happy

ShittyShittyGameGang

This Is awesome to hear, I like to listen to the people I'm subscribed to at work if I've already seen what they're reacting to but that doesn't work if I can't hear the movie/show as well. Thank you!

Jacob Colson

Ok, I give up. Why is there no Search option under a creator's page in Portrait mode? When I flip my phone to Landscape mode, the Search bar appears.

Duron Ball

FUUUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!

JD Nevesytrof

George, you are the Hardest Working Man in the react business

m

Yeah this has nothing to do with first amendment and everything with treading a very fine line of compromise. License holders, labels, studios... they have money, and money is power. Doesn't get any easier, but what that means is, sadly, that they can bully just about everyone - especially smaller YT channels. It's pure spite, too, because the numbers are very explicit about how beneficial these channels are for driving some additional sales. If folks don't even know what watching a full reaction is like, they're not going to bother paying money for a stream or physical release either. The experience is still very different from pip commentary, not allowing you to balance volume or kind of nudge the timing (which is both beneficial and a drawback). You can run your business however you want, and just spewing any sort of hate, claims, or ideology isn't automatically protected by extremely vague moral guidelines most of us understand just fine. You get to voice you opinions, but YT also gets to act on their belief that your opinion, to be crude enough, is "possibly pretty stupid and incompatible with our platform." Or maybe people don't remember how difficult moderation is and how the years upon years of content uploaded daily is still such a huge challenge, even with the massive advances of fifteen years of machine learning to get rid of porn, gore and much, much worse. Not that we solved the fine line between cute family/animal videos and hidden abuse videos with a nice, jingly tune sweetening the deal. Still, if it's already that difficult with Cambodian reverse animal rescue paperclip optimizer channels making big bucks off of misery, why would you want every bad person, every xenophobe, every insecure opinion to get a spot on the platform? I genuinely think that YT is mostly fine, despite humans trying their best to ruin every little thing they come across. It shouldn't be as agreeable as it is.

m

Yeah, rare to find or extended/theatrical versions are a perfect example of why this should be fair game in the first place. Seriously fuck labels and studios gatekeeping essential cultural relics, just a weird form of hostage taking.

m

Two cat treats when they have to do extra sync QC to make sure Simone's singing lines up with the movie

Tyler Foster

You're both right and you're both wrong because filmmakers are not a monolith. There are definitely many filmmakers who would agree that they just want their work to be seen, and there are definitely many filmmakers that would hate the fact that even one person watches their film via piracy. The same goes for your scenarios: there are undoubtedly people whose careers have inadvertently flourished because piracy boosted the profile of either the project being pirated or the subsequent one, and there are also certainly people for whom piracy has ended their careers because the movies did not make money. It's pretty silly to think anything other than that both are happening all the time, and since it can never be meaningfully quantified, one must assume that both scenarios hold equal weight in any discussion about piracy. The one part I have a complete side on here is that do not think we need a rule against monetizing someone's content "without consent." The things that reactors do -- in this case, the edited videos and silenced commentary videos -- should, in my opinion, be completely and unilaterally covered by Fair Use and completely exempt from copyright claims by the studios. I think Fair Use is an essential law and it should be very, very hard to defeat Fair Use in court. Personally, in the interest of being equitable, if I were setting the rules, videos with the complete movie audio and picture (even small) would be outside of Fair Use and not allowed unless the "reaction" was more like a commentary, and completely covered something like 80% of the movie's audio.

Graeme McCutcheon

This is great folks! Looks like there is some throttling of notifications at Patreon's end - I got emails telling me about the Breaking Bad S1 and Better Call Saul S5 (and a random S2 episode) releases, when in reality you'd added uncovered versions of the entirety of those shows, and I didn't hear anything from Patreon about Squid Game until you mentioned it in the text for this post. Whilst reluctant to add to your workload even more, might be worth tagging onto the end of the "next week on Patreon" a summary of what uncovereds got added in the previous week?

Mitch M

I think you guys would love Murderbot--it's on AppleTV right now. It deserves way more attention than it's getting.

Mr Mafuchi

FIRST BLOOD!!! For all the hassle YouTube has put you through with editing and us, the viewers, not being able to watch your reactions (without a copy).

Kellen

Were you not keeping the Patreon versions in addition to the YT and the Uncovered ones? Looking at the collections it appears you've replaced the Patreon versions with the Uncovered ones.

Cinebinge

as stated in the video and in the transcript, we are keeping all previous version and will continue to provide versions as we have before, the uncovered one is just an additional version. is there a specific film or show where you are not finding the patreon version?

Adam

Why isn't there a collection for Band of Brothers?

Cinebinge

just forgot to make it, but its there now

Ginger

Oh wow, I had no idea - honestly, thanks for the tip! <3

Tricky Smitles

I know it's old but is it possible for The Wire to be be uncovered as well. I just made it to Season 3 and there's no more YT versions for that so uncovered would be a good alternative.

Cinebinge

yep, we'll be going through every show we've ever done.

Alex Heise

Is there a chance you guys would ever put up X Files for a vote?

Carlos H

Thank you for doing this! it has been nice having an excuse to rewatch full length videos. I have been downloading the uncovered versions for my commute.

UnlicensedOkie

Any chance we could get avatar the last airbender (all three seasons) ?

Cinebinge

Hi, as stated in the update S2 and 3 have been updated. S1 unfortunately has been long lost as it was content we did at the start of the channel and we did not understand the rules of uploading to YT and the content is lost forever.

UnlicensedOkie

My bad. I missed that part. Thank you

Matt Quinn

Thank you! I don't have a lot of bandwidth, so your review and Severance both running online at the same time wasn't really happening.

Forkbeard83

Chernobyl, Band of Brothers, and Fallout. well thats my week sorted.

Jay Davis

I can't press the heart button any harder on this post!

JoshG

As soon as it gets done, I’m going on a Ted lasso binge

Tom Hess

Time for me to rewatch Firefly and Chernobyl with you guys :-) I was too lazy to redownload the whole shows again.

Todd

This is the best news ever and I just resubscribed because of it! I hope you will put them in a collection folder to separate them out from the rest, because Patreon makes it so difficult to find anything “at a glance.” Labeling or tagging them as a category would make them much easier to locate. This is awesome news. You guys are fun to watch and you seem like really good peeps, so I’m super excited for this development that will make viewing much easier and enjoyable. Thank you!

Cinebinge

Hi Tony, so if you click on Cinebinge on the left side of your page and go to our main feed, at the very top you will see a tab that says "Collections". in there you will find every show grouped into its own collection containing all the versions. Beneath all the collections, you will see a large field of tags, each representing 1 film/franchise. Click on any of the tags and it will show you all posts related to that tag. Though for now movies dont have the uncovered versions yet.

Todd

Thanks so much! I only mentioned it because many reactors don’t use the “Collections” feature at all, which makes it maddening to find what you are looking for. I was pretty sure you guys use the collections feature, but couldn’t recall (and apparently was too damn lazy to check first. Lol.). Anyhow, thanks for the reply! I’m excited for this development!

MaggiLou152

Thanks you so much for this! I resubscribed and will continue to stay subscribed because of it. As someone who loves to listen along to this style of watch along while I am outdoor in my garden and doing other things this is a game changer. Asia and Bj do this and it made me subscribe to their Patreon. I love your guys content but I can’t always be around to link up to another device to watch along. This format is my preferred way to watch movies with you guys especially if it’s a movie I’ve seen many times. Keep up the great content you two! Thanks again!

Marko T.

This is good but feels a bit risky. Also there is a big risk of studios not liking it so they might start to be even more strict with reaction videos on Youtube.

David

This is already a lot of work, but I want to ask if its possible to have subtitles on the uncovered versions?

Jpsynergy

I'll second this just because sometimes the audio is a bit low on the video and the auto generated ones aren't the best. Just if it's possible. I already appreciate getting the full version.

UnlicensedOkie

Did they ever end up watching Legend of Korra?

Logan Nelson

Does anyone know why Patreon shows "Featured Products" with differing price points, but it's just their different collections of TV shows?

Cinebinge

feature products are basically ways for people to just buy access to specific collections with a one time purchase, rather than a subscription. they will be able to access everything inside that collection and thats it. new posts of any kind are not accessible for them unless its specifically added to that collection.

Deadly Ramon

Speaking of copy, I hope George and Simone react someday to that 1992 anti-computer piracy video called "Don't Copy That Floppy."

Tall Paul

I'm really enjoying the uncovered versions, thanks very much. Great to be able to pause without the hassle of resyncing. Looking a gift horse in the mouth though, Patreon seems determined to show me the videos in low resolution. Has anyone found a more sophisticated approach than refreshing to reset to 1080p? I don't mind about the movies, but I insist on George being in HD.

Cinebinge

it now has a soft limit of hours of video, rather than data size. and that you can just request more.

Cinebinge

yeah it does seem to be a major weakness with this player.. we're working on a better solution. dont have an ETA yet, but we're looking into it.

TomGas2025

OH cool...Firefly! Shiny!

Sean

You guys are the best!

Sergei Tereshkin

That is impressive amount of work in a short time! Kudos to you 🥳🔥😈

Athenor

Sounds good, one less thing to deal with

Todd

I’ve noticed that some reactors upload their no-copy-needed reactions on Vimeo rather than the Patreon player. Maybe that’s an option?

Texas J

Great job, G & S. I know that's a lot of work! :)

Brian's Dog

Sounds good, I was a little worried from the title that the versions where you sync your own copy are were going away. This does help me when you watch some slightly different cut that is unobtainable and different from the version I own.

Wes Stevens

We appreciate this, at least I do.

REDR58

If you have a streaming or Chromecast or something you should be able to cast the Patreon video to it. It works with my Apple TV.

Some Guy Some Where

Thank you for making this retroactive. It’s clearly a huge effort, but it is very appreciated.

Crazykirsch

Apologies if this has already been asked/addressed but does this open the door to getting older removed/copyright struck content back? For example movies like The Lion King which have long been unavailable for anyone who joined after the fact.

Eric Mc Daniel

I believe those are long gone unfortunately.

Dustin Duvall

Exciting! For movies are yall going newest to oldest or oldest to newest?

Richard B

You may want to review the Schindler's List uncovered, it's still covered.

Richard B

It's coming along fast, great job.

2026-09-05 05:00 I'm actually amazed at how fast this is going. It seems like it would be an immense amount of mind-numbing labor to retroactively cover years of content. 5 days a week, x 50 weeks x 4 years? = 1000 videos? Or more?
2025-06-06 00:23

Jeff K.

I’m hiding in your closet and spying on you, George. I’m not tech savvy enough to do this any other way.

Dirt_Merchant

I'm sure the work has been outsourced to a content mill somewhere.

Cinebinge

Nope. It's just being queued up during the day and left exporting at night when I sleep. Just my computer alone. It would take more time and effort to upload everything, explain everything and every variation to someone wait for them to do it, upload again and download again. Easier to just do it myself.

Maiki

Hopefully a big-ass summer vacation is already planned. Would be incredibly well-deserved.

MasterElodin

I'm amazed as well. Most annoying part right now though is to know which reactions have been done so far. I wish we could filter for multiple tags at once so we can filter for movie reactions + uncovered etc. As it stands you have to just filter uncovered, scroll through hundreds of tv uncovered videos to even check if there is a movie you want to watch between that :D

Cinebinge

honestly i wish i have a "content mill" as dirt merchant said, there would be a lot less mistakes and i get to sleep in more instead of having to wake up randomly to fix my mistakes.

robodong

imagine doing all this work by yourself only to have some random guy accuse you of outsourcing, not only no appreciation but straight up dismissive accusation. lmao. well done Dirt_Merchant.

Ned Warbone

This is amazing. All the faffing about with the speed of my UK copy vs the online / NTSC version you may be watching goes away. Fantastic. And totally appreciate the effort of doing it for the back catalogue. Will still do side by side for newer titles, but for well worn classics, brilliant.

Hey George, will you do the movies that you had to take down due to copyright strikes too?

Allan Molina

Nice now I don't have to worry with my copy freezing all the time

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Will just echo the same thing but crazy amount of work going into this George. Stay well rested in between and I hope the computer gets a promotion… or a tasty upgrade of some sort as a reward haha. Mad respect, legend 🤙🏻

Cinebinge

nope sorry thats an error, i was going by the 'whats published on yt' list not what's uploaded list. that full length is perma gone.

Cinebinge

unfortunately no. the ones that were taken down by YT are perma gone. by the time YT took them down the raw footage had been long deleted back when storage space was limited and knowledge of how YT bots work was even more so.

Chris B

George! With the new uncovered versions, as happy as I was, I though it'd be new content. I'd never expect you to go back and re-export everything. So much work. That said, I'm staying subscribed full-time and going back to watch some older reactions to my faves again.

Chris Brewer

Thank you for all the hard work on getting these out.

Guillaume Huet_rennibou

Just wow. Thank you so much for the huge work and all the content. Over the years and now with this incredible turn

Dioskur

Thanks for this new list. Maybe you didn't know, maybe you did, but this new format solves a very annoying problem with older movies: The ntsc/pal framerate desinc. Due to NTSC and PAL having different frame rates AND movies being dubbed, older movies are often not available in the original lenght even if you watch them in the english original. It's likely a niche problem because it onbly applies to countrys that had PAL and wth a big enough domestic market to make dubbing worth the costs. But it is realy annoying. One example is First Blood. And then theres the thing with streaming services only offering one version of a movie (theatrical cut, directors cut, extrended cut, digital remastered, whatever they are called) and your service happened to offer you another. So yes, as others said thanks for this update. And btw: George you're putting in quite some extra hours for this right now it seems? Thank you!

howtocookazombie (Stan)

Just wanted to say "Thank you!" again for all this much and hard work you do. 👍

Sean Hennessy

Are you guys able to promote this on youtube so that others know to drive more to patreon?

Freddy Cougar

Thanks for all the work you put into this.

Tom Hess

So much good stuff. Thanks for The Martian, I had trouble finding the version you watched (theatrical cut).

dys

How the actual heck did you guys manage to re-render and reupload your whole history this quickly?

scwyd

no subtitles on the inglorious upload :(

LazyBoy Stays Up Late Watchin Video Tapes

George was working and researching on this for a while and withheld this information so that , very shortly after announcing, he would just unleash all of this devastation so rapidly. 😂

Cinebinge

its not as crazy as you think! ever since the A24 scare, we've backed up a copy of every video ever done. so its just a matter of finding the same copy of the movie/show and pull up the corresponding reaction, put both into premiere, put the movie on top, do some audio adjust and queue up for export. i do as much as i can during the day then leave the computer on to export over night. the next day, put them all back into handbrake for file size reduction and queue up again over night. every 2-3 nights i let the pc stay off and rest and repeat. the batch processing does leave room for mistakes and leaks that i gotta go back and fix, but for the most part its just repetitive.

Richard B

Whenever you can, take a look at American History X, 1917, Spider-Man (2002) it looks like they were skipped. Spiderman2 and No way Home are uncovered, but the original isn't?

Stanley Etienne

Hey guys, I don't know if it's just technical issues with the uncovered video reactions or if it's Patreon trying to shut them down. None of the videos are working, just the audio. They were working perfectly the day before.

robodong

? works fine for me. i would imagine the comments would be filled with ppl saying its not working if something actually went wrong. so its probably just your browser. try clearing your cache or updating the browser.

test

i think its just you mate.

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

OK, now I'm getting some true value-tainment with my patreonage, so next month, I finally go top-tier! So George, it's pronounced just like Gandalf with an R. It's the grandpa name that my granddaughters call me! In all seriousness, thank you for this, it is much appreciated!

Vellu

I think the Patreon player is just buggy on some platforms. On my ipad/safari I get occasional blackouts when seeking the video, but reloading the page usually fixes it. Sometimes videos suddenly restart from beginning, but thats like once every ten views.

Chris B

All work fine over here.

LazyBoy Stays Up Late Watchin Video Tapes

do you have any blockers such as Privacy Badger extension? I had an issue and had to change the blocker setting to one step lower to get things to play, refresh, check-it and see each item being blocked.

Marcus Hicks

So now I no longer need my own copy of the movies and TV shows, I finally decided to re-upgrade my membership to just below the top tier. Seems fitting given yours was the first reaction channel I ever subscribed to on YouTube.

Bookwormy

Next month I'm hoping to jump up a tier. This is awesome.

Hello Cinebinge, So far I have watched the uncovered versions of Jurassic Park and The Princess Bride. The volume of the movie in Jur. Park was way too low. It was perfect in Princess bride. Hope that helps for the future uncovered versions. But what a great update this is. Much appreciated.

AC10

HOLY FU#$!!!!! I don't think people realize how many "uncovered" videos are ALREADY UPLOADED!!!! Maybe they need to release a weekly update list of what is now available.... I've been waiting for The Martian movie they did a long time ago.... IT'S BEEN UPLOADED FOR WEEKS!!!

Cinebinge

oh no no haha. i backdate them when theyre uploaded so it doesnt clog the front feed.

AC10

Ohh..... So this was the "I found a way to not drown you in notifications" thing you said... Good on you. Regardless... Thanks for The Martian!!! It's one of the very few times we get to see Simone flip a Loon....

AC10

ME TOO!!! 1st ever patreon for me.

AC10

I swear to God before I die I wanna see the worldwide community give you back your Avatar reactions... Those literally introduced my adult self to a newfound love of animated shows... Someone SOMEWHERE has these... They have to. We need to crowdsource this request and get this content back.

ShadowStunts

Would you guys consider watching Andor after you're done with this season of Severance? It's 2 seasons, 24 episodes long in total, just finished up and pretty perfect length for one of these in between shows you do while watching a longer show. It's also easily the best Star Wars project since the original trilogy.

dys

Do you mean the season 1 videos that were taken down? Season 2 and 3 at least are up in both uncovered and watchalong format now.

Jason Parker

This is so fucking huge!!! Thanks y’all. I’m here with you now hopefully for the long haul! I love not having to sync and I can screencast it to my tv. Y’all are the bomb! Thanks you.

David Martin

does this mean you won't be posting the full versions of movies where you will require the members' own copy? My copies of movies are much better and full screen. I don't have to share the screen with your reaction screen.

Ginger

They will still post those as well.

robodong

they literally answer your question in the post, both in writing and in the video...

Alex Hyrule

was just watching gladiator uncovered version which has now disappeared. coming back i hope :)

Senec

I may be blind, but I am not seeing either a separate post for the uncovered version of Hot Tub Time Machine, nor am I seeing a link in the patreon version post.

Cinebinge

should be there now if you refresh the page on either patreon version or youtube version post. there wont be a post for uncovered, it will be a link in the description of the other versions posts.

Senec

Thank you for the swift reply! <3

Darren Harrison

New to the Cinebinge, but decided to go for Extra Cream Cheese Frosting after watching a few reactions. As a newbie…how do I access these?

Cinebinge

Hi Darren, thank you for the support! So in the description of every post you will see a "For no sync version" followed by a url. If you are on desktop computer, click on that URL and press Accept when it asks to verify your account, after that you will see the uncovered version of the reaction. If you are on phone or tablet, hold down the url until a little menu pops up and press "Open in Web browser". your default internet browser should now open and it may ask you to login to patreon first, make sure you login via the correct account/email, then accept the verification and voila! Note, some users have stated that safari and chrome could occasionally cause verification issues, the best browser so far for this has been Firefox. You can also take a look at our FAQ: https://www.patreon.com/posts/faq-uncovered-131542916 for any trouble shooting, and a big list of all the movies thats been converted so far (all tv shows are done, but theres still a couple hundred films left to be processed into these new versions). If theres any other problems the FAQ didnt answer, feel free to go to the Community tab on the left side and either directly message us or use the community chat to ask the community for help!

100% the reason I finally joined. Thank you!

I can't seem to find the Forest Gump reaction. Did it get removed? :(

Nik

Synching makes it impossible to watch for most of us unless we sit home with two monitors and do it without being interrupted. I don't see anyone complaining about music reactions not being edited on here.
