Content

Didnt realize there was 2 movies called Red that was 2 years apart and the poll included the wrong one, but also dont want to disregard votes that went to the actual 2008 one and not the 2010. So this action poll now has 1 option that isnt action. Apologies for the confusion.

Comments

Fritz

Now every movie is on there twice... 😅

James

The Count of Monte Cristo is the best film on this poll

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

G’day again friends - I vote for deja vu haha! But actually Apocalypto and Man From UNCLE if pressed. Great choices overall regardless

UnlicensedOkie

I think yall would really enjoy The Count Of Monte Cristo, the Book of Eli, or Four Brothers

Balmung

Count of Monte Cristo solely for Luis Guzmán.

Mr. Writhms

Action movie suggestion: "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (1996 - Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson)

Jihad Lee

Books of Eli! Let’s go!

Seymor Butz

Big poll. Count of Monte Cristo is legendary, but there are several others that are great options too. This is like a blockbuster poll. Hope to see the losers on future polls.

Jeromy M

I've been waiting for this Channel to react to The Count Of Monte Cristo for yonks, I really hope it wins a poll in the near future. Four Brothers is a fun B movie watch and Apocalypto is a wild, horror adjacent ride.

BigM

Book of Eli is so good and so rewatchable.

Guy-on-Couch

YES!!!! come on Count of Monte Cristo!!!!!

Liam Nissan

Book of Eli, Red with Bruce WIllis and Count of Monte Cristo are all absolute bangers that all deserve screen time..

Vincent

Book Of Eli

theycallmekev

Apocalypto is madly underrated! Such a badass film.

lalaland

Huh? What are you talking about?

AnthemUnknown

Still vote for Count of Monte Cristo and Book of Eli.

Jeromy M

Please, please, The Count Of Monte Cristo!

jmundt33a

And all the posts from the original poll are gone😮‍💨

Ashton Lewis

Hoping for Haunting of Bly Manor at some point please for one of your smaller show runs (and the rest of Mike Flanagan's shows, except for The Midnight Club) 🙂. Cloud Atlas for one of your Movies too and then I'll be content

Jpsynergy

Going for Book of Eli because Denzel is one of my favorites and it's an interesting role for him. Fun bunch of movies though.

Kevin

i guess i will repeat my comment from the earlier post: My suggestion is an entry to the Bud Spender and Terence Hill movies. Either: They Call me Trinity (1970) with its sequel Trinity is still my name (1971) Or Watch Out, We're Mad (1974)

China Andronicus

It seems like it’s always destined to be in a poll where it’s just barely outvoted.

streaky

I doubt anybody was voting for the 2008 one..

Alyssa Goodwin

Still voting for "all"😂 But the RED movies are my all time favorite comic book adaptations. I haven't been able to find out why they don't get more love. The 2010 is a sequal to the 2008. Just FYI

beefjerkywizard

As much as I am jonesing for the Count you can't go wrong with this poll.....but the Count is the best lol

elias rinis

They should do Gerald's Game at some point too, Mike Flanagan's best in my opinion. It would make for a cool reaction.

Alexrandom

Almost any Mel Gibson movie is worth a watch. Apocalypto most of all !

Kim Brink

Hoping sooo much for Apocalypto (2006)

Ashton Lewis

It really was. Very unfortunate, but everything else he has done is excellent thankfully

Ashton Lewis

For sure. And Hush too - very different from his usual themes I think but it's my favourite of his films

Robb

How??

Jeff Schaefer

Man from U.N.C.L.E... Fun, funny, and insanely underrated...

ShōNuff3K

Count 1st, Apocalypto 2nd 🤞🏾

Robb

No it's not 🤨

Robb

Today I learned it existed 😶

Anonymous Andy

Reposting my comment from last poll advocating for Return of the Living Dead (1985), posted in the general about it like a month ago, but figured I’d cover my bases and post here too

Robb

Red 2010 hopefully always nice to see Bruce Willis

MotoDork

Red is fun. My vote is for that.

FWPJR.

I love seeing Four Brothers on here, I’ve requested it a few times. By the looks of it it’s not going to win, but I know you two will react to it sooner or later.

Zack Gallardo

I see 4 "red" movies in the list

Actuarial Lurker

Still think that all polls should have a None of These option so Simone and George can know how many people DID read the poll but chose NOT to vote....

Dre2up

Let’s go, Book of Eli!

FWPJR.

You don’t have to keep recommending movies over and over, they see our comments and add our suggestions to their list. And they’ll watch them sometime in the future.

Logan Kerlee

They explained the situation above really well. Until you explain your confusion you're just sounding like a distraction. :/

Carlos H

I am going with book of eli. Cant go wrong with denzel.

Senec

Think of this more like choosing a place to go get dinner. These are the choices. If you don't like any of them, then you can just go to bed hungry.

Onno Smits

The Count of Monte Cristo would be such great fun to watch with them!

Alex Ch

So the 2010 movie is the Bruce Willis and John Malkovich one. The 2008 movie is the Brian Cox and Tom Sizemore film.

Onno Smits

View the post via the website. In the app it's now fucked and all options appear twice, but it's completely broken and you can only vote for half. It's unbelieveable that even after a complete rework of the app they still haven't fixed polls in the app.

Alex Ch

The 2010 film is the comic adaptation. Its sequel came out in 2013.

simon brouillard

For a John Singleton I would recommend boyz n the hood

fforw

All solid meh.. Book of Eli had good parts, but overall also just meh..

Dan Holmes

Ugh. Apocalypto better pull ahead. Count of monte Cristo deserves to be seen asap, but it’s not an action movie.

Chase Lonnergan

Come on, Edmond! You can do it! I have faith in you!

E-You

Nothing pops for me on this list, sorry (not sorry), TCOMC is a good movie (better book, but no one really wants to watch you all read it... Ok for a minute it might be a hoot). I voted for 4 Bros, because it is a ok/good action movie and a lot was filmed in Michigan.... I think, anyway. For an action movie, might I suggest "Way of the Gun" 2000 action/thriller.

E-You

It is a good watch.

R.L.HUNTER

Count of Monte Cristo is a must. The late great Richard Harris, Jim Covezial, Louis Guzman and a young Henry Cavill. Great version of the classic Dumas story. 🙏🏽💜

Adam Vialpando

I had never even heard of that other Red.

Logan Nelson

If only it was an action movie....

Darren Harrison

The best version of "The Count of Monte Cristo" is the French mini-series starring Gérard Depardieu and released in 1998. It co-stars "Flash Gordon"'s Ornella Muti and, of course, is in French (my guess is that Simone and George know a little French, given it's the second language of Canada). I have read the enormous book by Alexandre Dumas (464,000 words when a standard novel is about 70,000 words) and there is no way a movie can do the book justice (the mini series is 400 minutes long and even it has to cut bits). There is also a Richard Chamberlain version made for TV in 1975 that features Trevor Howard, Louis Jourdan, Donald Pleasence and Tony Curtis, but it's a poor substitute for the mini-series

jmundt33a

Why was The Fall Guy dropped to make room for this clarification on RED?

jmundt33a

Are you kidding, Logan?

lalaland

? It's not. It's in the poll..

jmundt33a

Unleashed from 2005 might also be a good future action flick

lalaland

That sounds like your Patreon app is broken.

jmundt33a

In the realm of action comedy Undercover Blues, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Spy are good choices.

Darren Harrison

In my humble opinion the 1998 mini-series would be a better version to watch

Alex Ch

I may have mentioned this years ago but I’d love a reaction to The Muppet Movie (1979).

Alex Ch

The doubling past the two is just crazy. Can’t offer any help on that.

ChiefKC

The Count of Monte Cristo, Red, and the Book of Eli all on the same list? No Fair! All three are good movies and deserve a watch.

jmundt33a

Glad to be wrong. Something looked to be missing and I didn’t know what.

Robert Davenport

Cult classic request - Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon Sho’Nuff!!!

brog5108

Undercover Blues is excellent.

Onno Smits

Interesting, I've never seen it!

Tyler Foster

Really hoping Man From U.N.C.L.E. can either pull off a win or come close enough that we get a reaction by the end of September. Really, I'm hoping it's already in position for the latter.

Duncan

Amazed not to see ''Mac and Me (1988)'' making this poll ,massive massive error from George

D.A.V.E.

Apocalypto is my pick for this list by a long way and then Count of Monte Cristo.

FWPJR.

It definitely is

Big Bang

OMG APOCALYPTO. It's one of Mel Gibson's gem. Hope watching with you guys

Jeromy M

One day it shall take its place on top of the pile.

Stugotz

I watched it recently, WOW! Such an amazing film!

Stugotz

The Count of Monte Cristo is a great film but is it considered an action movie?

Daniel Smith

On the first vote, I thought I was voting for FREE guy. Seems the option is FALL Guy. Still think it is a decent film not getting the love it deserves.

Daniel Smith

I think you’re right. Losing track of what the have and haven’t seen.

Warmachine1228

Only some people are seeing that. I'm not.

rictus grin

Red 2010 is a great laugh, so gets my vote. i did enjoy Apocalypto though so it would have got a second place vote

m

what do you mean

m

nah, it was pretty much like this poll, split between Book of Eli and Apocalypto - which obviously tracks. Unless of course you looked at it within the first ten seconds or so

Warmachine1228

The 2008 movie stars Brian Cox (which is funny because he's also in the 2010 movie) but it's not a fun film even though the ending is somewhat satisfying. I still haven't talked to anyone else who's also seen the 2008 Red. I watched it.

m

I stumbled too at first sight, but I suppose it qualifies as action-adventure. Like with most genres, the boundaries are pretty fluid and what is an action movie is about as varied as what you'd call a drama - which isn't really a genre at all and just a synonym for "movie", except for maybe Chef. Which still has conflict resolution and all, that, soo...

mourning_fox

I'm surprised you 2 haven't reacted to the Count of Monte Cristo already.

m

I guess we need a martial arts spoof/comedy/blaxploitation poll of some sort. We recently (finally) had Kung Pow on a poll, Black Dynamite I'm surprised we didn't have as just a top 10 must-watch (yes, I'm exaggerating a tiny bit), and beyond that, there's still a huge array of neat flicks that might suit the category.

John

I don't know if there was a mix-up in including two movies titled RED, though they are different movies, but it could be confusing.

sarCC

You only need to recommend a movie once. The other times you recommend it will not count towards its total number of recommendations.

Max Carter

Apocalypto is just about a perfect action movie. Really well done movie. To be honest the rest of the list doesn't do it for me. Book of Eli getting so many votes is wild in my opinion

sarCC

I don't know if I've recommended the 2011 movie Warrior before, but I am now. Probably contains Tom Hardy's best performance. Also, it's great to see The Count... winning this poll as of this comment. Love it when this community surprises me(in a good way).

John

I apologize if this is redundant, and it is not meant to spam the chat. I made a comment in the earlier version that appears to be gone about a possible double feature if the Count of Monte Cristo does not win, but it would be valid if it wins with the Count of Monte Cristo (2002) and The Count of Monte Cristo (2024). Similar to RoadHouse, but I understand that this is extra work and may not work out. Thanks

Lorkein

I'm personally not a Guy Ritchie fan, but this man from UNCLE was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure which version of the count of Monte Cristo this is, but I'm confident in this one too.

Major Peril

Yes, the RED (2010) in the title staring Bruce Willis, is actually an acronym (not going to spoil it). The title Red (2008) is a proper name referring to the character of the dog in that story.

Jeromy M

Apocalypto is an absolute gem. I think the love for Book of Eli would be from the North American crowd. The religious facets of the film would have resonated more with the populace. I didn't see much love for it from my more secular circle of cinema lovers.

Jeromy M

I must reread Dumas's work but it's so damn long haha.

Jose Robles

2 Henry Cavill movies? Yes

Anonymous Andy

I know, but apparently the movie polls are the place where they prefer you recommend, so I wanted to cover my bases (just in case)

Mastervodo

BehBeh Henry Cavill!

E-You

I never saw that one. Wait, is Morgan Freeman in it? Wow. I was goona say it looks a lot like 2001 "The One".... Which is another good action movie.

Dirge Girl

Swordsmanship and/or sword fighting does Count as Action.

R.L.HUNTER

It is definitely action, drama, adventure, revenge—it’s just not over the top action that belies reality and serves no purpose beyond pretty lights 💥 and stunt set pieces 🤸🏼‍♀️

E-You

Agreed on both. Sports movies like "Slapshot" 1977, "Without Limits" 1998, "White Men Can't Jump", or "Rounders" (shut up poker is a sport!). Without Limits is a hidden gem of a story and movie based on the runner Steve Prefontaine.

BoredLittleLady

I’ll be honest Fall Guy surprised me as an action romance comedy movie.

jmundt33a

Maybe American Flyers? The Express and Invincible are both good, but…North American Football. The Rookie is Disney hagiography. Chariots of Fire is great. Race is okay.

jmundt33a

*cough* Heart Condition and Power test that assertion.

Farbod

Man From UNCLE is such an underrated gem. Probably Cavill's best film.

Tyler Foster

To be fair, they've already watched Lock Stock and Snatch. Not the Sherlock Holmes movies, though.

Tyler Foster

I still think Black Dynamite would be better if paired with at least one classic Blaxploitation movie. My choice would be Coffy (1973).

Tyler Foster

I guess the question is: what do you think that would accomplish? It's not like these movies are failing to generate a normal amount of votes. I bet that if that were an option it would be a pretty consistent percentage every week from different people, and probably not a significant vote-getter either.

Adam

I just realized you haven't watched Edward Scissorhands, yet. You should probably add that one to the spreadsheet.

Adam

I second White Men Can't Jump and Rounders. If we're going to include poker, why not chess. Searching For Bobby Fischer (1993)

John

I would add The Natural, Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, The Program, Bingo Long's Traveling All-Stars, Any Given Sunday, Hoosiers

sarCC

Oh, yes. Grosse Pointe Blank and Spy are two excellent comedies.

John

I love Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon, but I think they should see Enter the Dragon first. I think they should probably see something like Shaft, Foxy Brown, Black Belt Jones, Sweet Sweetback Badass song, before watching Black Dynamite

E-You

American Flyer is a good one

E-You

The Program

Jasbro

One day someone i follow will react to Red (2010), one of my favorite movies, the cast is absolute peak from Bruce Willis to John Malkovich and Helen Mirren.

maikeru

Hm, why are there two films called Red on the poll?

lalaland

Literally explained in the post description

Tom Hess

Apocalypto is one hell of a trip. Even if it doesn't finish in the top 2, please put it in the backlog.

Happy Hanukkah

As a not-at-all-passive-aggressive public service, I'll note that the 2010 Red (aka RED) is the fun action movie starring Bruce Willis alongside Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren. It also has the recently departed Julian McMahon, RIP, and several other well known actors (I won't spoil) in small roles. You may now vote for it. :-)

Happy Hanukkah

Oh, and thank you, George, for your immediate attention to my nomination. :-) :-P

Yaron Assa

Man from uncle is SO FUN

Happy Hanukkah

(This obviously doesn't contradict what you said, but:) For those interested, there have been several reactions to Red. Note that the Run to the Movies one has Verowak as a guest reactor.

@Foodmancing

Man from Uncle is one of the most underrated action films of all time

Logan Nelson

I just always saw it as a "period drama" but yeah, it has action so I concede...

Marcus Hicks

I see it as being an over-indulgent vanity project by Mel Gibson at the height of his Opus Dei phase. Far better suited for CineCringe IMHO.

Godrick

Red is the most fun action movie on the list. Book of Eli is the best film on the list. Man From Uncle is kind of middling for both action and fun

Lex Kuzma

I hope you get to Four Brothers someday. Ejiofor is so fantastic in that film and there's a car chase that us northerners can really related to.

Robert Davenport

Definitely going to lose some cool points here, but lord know I didn't really have any to begin with Out of all of the movies you guys have mentioned in your responses, I've only seen Enter the Dragon. ;) BG's The Last Dragon was a big part of my childhood - so it's the only one I can really comment on. Thank you for all the recommendations!

Anders Sandum

Movie recommendations: The Man Who Would Be King(1975) The Mission(1986) The Last of the Mohicans(1992) Quiz Show(1994) Cold Comfort Farm(1995) Hackers(1995) Rob Roy(1995) Swingers(1996) Beautiful Girls(1996) Event Horizon(1997) Dangerous Beauty(1998) Stigmata(1999) Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo(1999) Almost Famous(2000) Bandits(2001) The Royal Tenenbaums(2001) Spy Game(2001) Joe Dirt(2001) Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back(2001) A Mighty Wind (2003) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou(2004) I Love You, Man(2009) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy(2011)

Alex Ch

I approve of the capitalization if not the categorization.

Alex Ch

American Flyers is good but the greatest American cycling film is Breaking Away.

John

The Red Violin is a movie that is definitely worth watching

Alex Ch

Death to Smoochy is great, and I bet George and Simone would like to see Robin Williams and Danny DeVito do comedy again.

Marie Montgomery

Has George seen The Cell with Vincent D'Onofrio?

Rusty Childers

Book of Eli might be my favorite movie in its subgenre of action.

Morion Williams

Queen of the damned Repo the Genetic Opera God Bless America Animatrix A.I. Artificial Intelligence IQ Mighy Ducks A score to settle

David S

to each their own I guess... I thought it was amazing.

Steve kephart

I really hope Book Of Eli wins. It is a really good film that you guys will love.

Steve kephart

I totally agree. Unfortunately, it might lose because it is less known compared to Monte Cristo. Better movie though IMO.

Steve kephart

You are on the line of spoilers Jeromy M. Might want to edit those out.

Josh Wilson

This might be the closest poll yet. Cheering for monte cristo here lol

Steve kephart

Wow! I thought I was the only one who remembers Undercover Blues. Having watched Hunger Games recently made me appreciate the contrast of one of the actors performaces in the two movies.

Steve kephart

Looking through the comments I see that 4 of the movies seem to have very strong opinions around them. Might want to watch all 4 right now to keep a majority of your patreons happy. Does everybody agree? ;)

jmundt33a

Morty is very different from our Hunger Games announcer, is he not?

jmundt33a

Mohicans, Quiz Show, Hackers, and Rob Roy. Absolutely.

luckyopening

TV rec: Peacemaker Movie rec: "Monsters vs Aliens" "M-Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder"(1931) its on yt with subtitles btw, "late night with the devil" "10 things i hate about you" "Antlers" "The empty man"

Monarch Black

Oh, The Count of Monte Cristo may win. Cool, it's a great movie. I think that is my most expensive Blu Ray in my collection. With how long it's been out of print and another version since then it's 2 or 3 times the price of a 4K big movie today if you can find it physical.

BigM

Personally I'm as secular as it gets, straight up anti-theist, but I still love that movie. Same as I love fantasy with gods and shit in it. I don't have to think it's real to enjoy it. The only downside with movies with religious undertones is they tend to get people to talk about religion which I find nauseating. I Don't see that being a problem with George and Simone though.

KnittingHaven

Second The Last of the Mohicans, Quiz Show, and The Man Who Would Be King. Not sure I want to see Event Horizon again, but would enjoy watching them react to it :P. I don't know if The Man Who Would Be King would be to everyone's taste, but it is a good classic, and stars younger Sean Connery and young Michael Caine.

Dan

Hoping for TCoMC but it's getting pretty close again!

Dan

I don't think TCoMC is actually that well known - it was a 'pointless' answer on the UK quiz show Pointless a few years back.

DinChild

Lotta great movies on there. But it's gotta be Apocalypto. Sorry.

PureGonzo

Yes! “Midnight Mass” and “Fall of the House of Usher” are both phenomenal. I’d go so far as to say that “Midnight Mass” is even better than “The Haunting of Hill House” (the one they’ve already watched).

beecroft adams

I like quiz show, rob Roy and almost famous.

Brandon Meng

The Count of Monte Cristo is so, so much fun. I've loved it for a long time and never even conceived it'd get a reaction on this channel. Here's to hoping it hangs on for the win! Other recs for the week: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Sideways The Royal Tenenbaums Cheers!

Lachlan Caldwell

The Count of Monte Cristo is fantastic. Albus Dumbledore and Jesus escaping from prison.

Lachlan Caldwell

I love Perks of Being a Wallflower; Hermione Granger after she left Hogwarts, and the Flash before his career ran headfirst into a brick wall.

Lachlan Caldwell

I would have thought if Simone and George were going to react to anything this Halloween it would be both seasons of Wednesday. L,D&R also a solid choice, especially since Black Mirror jumped the shark (although the Miley Cyrus episode was alright).

Silver Linings Starman

They should do Three Billboards. They loved "In Bruges" and haven't done another Martin McDonagh movie. Also Oscar winning performances from Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell.

Raymond DeGraw

Hoping the Count of Monte Cristo holds onto win. I've been suggesting it for along time. I love that movie. My second choice on this poll would be R.E.D., but technically there is not two "Red" movies. 2010 one is short for "Retired Extremely Dangerous = R.E.D.) Still wishing for these reactions in the near future... 1. Secondhand Lions (You'll love it, but probably never win a poll. Great all around movie, action, comedy, heart) 2. Little Shop of Horrors (1986) 3. Fallen 4. Young Guns 5. 187

BigM

Shame, seems CoMC is going to win. Would personally take Book of Eli over CoMC every day of the week. I just hope it won't take too long for them to get to Book of Eli.

Adam

Kindergarten Cop (1990)

JoeE

Would also recommend grosse pointe blank, high plains drifter

Michael Buhl

I'd like to recommend Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. I also second the suggestion for Grosse Pointe Blank, although, it's a rom-com/action movie.

Charles

I think my comment got deleted when you changed the poll so just reposting that I would like for Peacemaker season 1 to be in the next short show poll if possible! And only if you have seen James Gunn's Suicide Squad

Gareth Hackney

Babylon 5 or Red Dwarf for show reactions.

Relic

Chinatown (1974) Jack Nicholson & Faye Dunaway. 1930s Los Angeles PI mystery.

Kyle B

I recommend 3 Men and a Baby, directed by Leonard Nemoy, relatively close to your Star Trek chronological timeline.

Stefan Daniw

Please react to Zombieland 2 and A Million Ways to Die in the West

JoeE

Would b great 2 see midnight mass

JoeE

Would like to see the man who would be king, cold comfort

JoeE

Would like to see 8 men out, bad news bears (baseball), kingpin (bowling), better off dead (skiing, auto racing)

Dafty McNumpty

Please check out Dog Soldiers, Gangs Of London and Mobland

Tyler Foster

While I'll definitely rewatch Three Billboards if they get to it, I think another underrated choice that deserves to be in this same conversation would be the movie written and directed by Martin McDonagh's brother John Michael McDonagh, The Guard.

Tyler Foster

pleeeease 10 Things I Hate About You

Tyler Foster

yes please to Hackers, Event Horizon, Almost Famous, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, and Tinker Tailor.

Tyler Foster

I get why Grosse Pointe Blank has so many recommendations, and I love GPB, so I agree with them. That said, I wish there were more people also recommending the other great HS reunion comedy from the same year, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997). The guy who directed it, David Mirkin, was a showrunner of "The Simpsons" during seasons 5 and 6, so that might be fun for George.

Jeff I.

I think Midnight Mass would be the best to follow up with more Flanagan. Bly Manor felt too similar to Hill House in some ways for me, while Midnight Mass is very different in some ways but just as good as Hill House. I found House of Usher to be pretty weak, since it's more of a paint-by-numbers "death of the week" series (but you know who is going to die at the start of each episode) and got pretty boring for me halfway through.

Josh Wilson

Would love to see a reaction to The Boondock Saints

Ryan K

Smokin' Aces (2006) is a super fun action/crime movie! Hope it shows up on the next poll.

Relic

Russell Crowe The Insider (1999) and A Beautiful Mind (2001) Both based on true stories. Thank you.

Sir Dongle

Apocalypto hopefully gets some love later. What a crazy movie. The entire first 20 minutes or something is completely without dialogue and they used a CRAZY AMOUNT of extras in bespoke makeup, hiring an unprecedented amount of locals for authenticity. Truly impressive film from the most surprising of directors imo

E G

Did not expect book of eli to be putting up such a fight

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Its important to remember that while I think you can watch either Blue or White first, “Three Colours: Red” should be seen last in the trilogy. Lots of little pay offs when you conclude with Red.

beefjerkywizard

Interesting. That's my partner favourite because she saw it when she was a kid but mine is the new one because it was the first version I saw. Both are worth a reaction though

sarCC

And then Birds Of Prey before that.

Brandon Meng

Is this the closest we've seen the top two movies poll together?

Onno Smits

I remember "The Martian" (2015) and "The Fifth Element" (1997) were in a poll and got shared first place, with the exact same number of votes. Simone flipped a coin on which to watch first (The Martian won), but they watched both in rapid succession. Watch the thrilling flipping (best 2 out of 3!) for yourself here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/martian-patreon-58577391

Alex Laime

Loved A Beautiful Mind, one of my favorites.

Chase Lonnergan

Just need three votes in the next 21 hours... Go Edmond, go!

Jonathan Eaton

I’m the one that recommended it and I’m completely surprised. 😳

Alex Hyrule

Apocalypto such a great movie. hope we get to see that one in the future

grischa

My suggestions: Bojack Horseman (show) Ozark (show) Boyz 'n' the hood (movie)

Katie I

Red (2010) is the one with Helen Mirren and Bruce Willis, among others just incase anyone wonders which is which. Such a good movie

John Miller

Really hope you guys do either book of Eli or monte cristo right after whichever of them wins. Closest poll I’ve seen. Personally hope monte cristo wins

Artificial Intelligence (Cool and sad Sci-fi) IQ (Awesome Romcom) Mighy Ducks (Feel good sports comedy) A score to settle (Good Nicolas Cage Action) Real Steel (Feel good family action comedy)

Life in the cave of Garanoga

Recommendations INK (2009)- Great little sci fi low budget film. The Man From Earth (2007)- I know George has seen it but I'd love to see Simone react and get some of George's thoughts on it. and it's such an under appreciated film.

damn, I was pulling for Apocalypto, but Book of Eli has had a sudden surge of votes. I saw it years ago, but have virtually no memory of it. Apocalypto on the other hand has stuck with me through the years (to be fair I've seen it 2 or 3 times).

I don’t know if you’ve seen the recent French movie version from 2023/2024. I would be curious about your thoughts on if it’s more faithful to the book?

I have had the reverse experience with these two films. Book of Eli is a personal favorite. Apocalypto was one-time viewing.

Down the road, hopefully you'll consider a great underrated film, Real Steel (2011). Has Hugh Jackman and Evangeline Lily in it, it was produce by Steven Spielberg... Great movie...

Fuck I missed this poll! I’d been campaigning for Apocalypto for like a month too

It is fun. It’s a futuristic take on Rocky.
