Sure, people eat fresh snow....FRESH snow! This is based on a children's book of the same name, which is much calmer and also more whimsical. It's about a town where food NATURALLY falls from the sky, so all of their lives have adapted to getting food this way, until the "weather" gets bad enough to be dangerous. There's no hero or villain, it's not that kind of plot. It's presented as a story a grandfather is telling to his grandkids, and builds on that childhood wonder.

I haven’t seen this one in a while and I hadn’t realized how many of the same beats it hits as another lord and miller joint, The Mitchells vs. the Machines. The climax is almost identical. That said, it’s still a great film and you should check it out if.

Great reaction, guys! Can I recommend that yo do some Paul Thomas Anderson movies in the coming weeks/months leading up to a One Battle After Another reaction which I'm sure will come. Maybe even a PTA exclusive poll could be good. You've seen Boogie Nights and TWBB, but Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, The Master, Phantom Thread, and Licorice Pizza are all stunning films and were all life-changing for me.

That was my absolute favorite book that my parents read to me as a little kid. I don't think I've ever actually watched the movie (even though I know it's apparently very good, from what I've heard), though, because I know it's just so much different.

knew you guys would love this! it's just such great time between the humor, animation, and energy animated recommendations: you guys should check out rise of the guardians, especially as we get closer to winter. it's a great movie that sadly gets pretty overlooked. the animation is beautiful, the story is great, and the characters are all memorable. the other rec is prince of egypt if one of you hasn't seen it. STUN-NING movie, stacked cast, amazing songs, the movie that dreamworks set out to prove itself with as a baby studio

There's a Chinese restaurant that I get food from pretty regularly, it's the best in a large area around me and amazing price. However, I have found melted plastic in my rice. But it's so good I don't even care lol.
