They are likely rotating seasons of shows, this is a common approach so they can have more variety for folks. They have done this with Andor, Stranger Things, Sopranos and shows that are generally shorter seasons.

Was sad u were going with the episodic version of Mugen Train instead of the movie but Frieren on the lineup is mental holy shit. Especially with season 2 coming up this month. Also Chinatown and The Long Walk are gonna be great

Some exciting stuff on the lineup. Out of curiosity though, how come the last-place pick from the Dec 15th poll is already on the lineup ahead of the other movies (One Battle After Another, The Last of the Mohicans, All the President’s Men, and Bedazzled)? I’ve been here long enough to know how the polls work, and that these films will eventually come around, but it still sometimes confounds me how the prioritisation and selection work. Is this just a case of a random pick from the backlog, or a lot of additional requests? Either way, not to say I’m not looking forward to it. The Long Walk is a movie that’s been on my watchlist, and I’m excited to finally see it.

Food Wars will return after Frieren. unless something unexpected happens, the schedule should line up in a way that just as we finish Frieren and resume Food Wars, Demon Slayer will conclude and a new show will begin in its slot. No idea what that show ill be yet.

been waiting for them to watch The Hours (2003) and A Beautiful Mind (2001) for over three years now, and I'm still waiting 🥹 but if you can wait that long for Pleasentville, it gives me hope I can wait as long and maybe longer 🥲… also: two years since they watched the first wayne's world film, maybe they'll watch the second one this year

S3 is actually my favorite, don't know what that says about me. China Town is an all time great movie. If you like film noir you will probably like/love it.

Chinatown used to be THE movie to study if you wanted to learn how to write a screenplay. And Pleasantville is super heavy with symbolism. Should be some good reactions.

I pretty much always figured if it was a newer movie that didn’t win a poll and showed up not that long after release, then it was something they were particularly interested in watching. They watched Sinners about as soon as it was available on streaming with no mention of it at all so they had to be pretty excited for that one.

Can't wait! Just to have mentioned the movie: With the actors from 'In Bruges' (aside from Voldemort), there is another movie that is very interesting: "The Banshees of Inisherin". It's less comedy, but really well made and tells an interesting story on a small Island near Ireland.

Pluribus came up in Red Letter Media's latest end of the year video and i'm intrigued. plus it's Vince Gilligan, and he's pretty beloved here. also, seeing as how this is one of the few subscriptions i can afford, and G&S watch all kinds of stuff and add it back to a rolling catalog, i am in favor of them doing another Apple+ show.
