TheLeftPecOfTheLord

The Impossible is one the most “real” movies I’ve ever watched, a really gripping and affecting movie with a mini Spider-Man 🕷️

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

The Impossible is one powerful piece of cinema! Conversely, Prince of Thieves features a delicious scene-stealing turn from a certain cranky Hogwarts professor 😉 Nice week of viewing ahead dudes 🙂

Roger Davies

Demon Slayer, Willow & Robin hood Prince Of Thieves. Most excellent.

nossieboy

Powerful lineup, not gonna lie.

Marcus Hicks

If you can ignore Costner's accent, then Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is awesome.....and Willow is cinematic gold IMHO.

beefjerkywizard

I'm so happy you get to experience watching the greatest swordsman who ever lived!

Stephanie Bedworth

The Impossible is very good. I’m excited for that one.

Alina

So happy to see The Impossible on the schedule!! And hope to see Society of the Snow someday soon as well!

Marko T.

Suggestion: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992).

Mastervodo

HELP! There's a PECK here with an ACORN POINTED AT ME!

TomGas2025

Alan Rickman is sooo hilariously Evil in here.

Jeff K.

Hell yes Willow! God I love that movie. "Out of the way, Peck!" is probably legitimately the movie line I've used more than any other (my wife is a foot shorter than me, so any time I want to get around her in the kitchen or something, that's what I always say).

Philipp Roensch

Damn good week, The Impossible is so strong and we get a healthy dose of fantasy.

Edina Lewis

Willow AND Prince of Thieves!!! Gonna be a good week!!

Mike FromOz

Costner essentially gets out acted by everyone else in the film.

Vengeance

It’s probably been 15 years since I’ve seen Willow.

Marcus Hicks

Its based on a very real disaster that occurred in SE Asia around 2004 IIRC.

paul rai

After The Impossible, you guys have to watch the director’s follow disaster film, Society of the Snow. J.A. Bayona is such an incredible director for how he recreates the raw visceral nature of those films real life disasters without delving into being entertainment spectacles. They’re not comforting watches. But powerful in their storytelling.

JayF

Willow, Robin Hood, and The Impossible are all very good despite the obvious flaw with Robin Hood you'll soon discover. Also, RH will be your intro to another actor that I hope you'll get to eventually with your reactions. I'll withhold the name until after the reaction.

8bitAndy

When I stayed home sick from school as a kid, I'd park on the couch and watch vhs tape after vhs tape. I'm sure there was more than one occasion when I watched Willow and Prince of Thieves back to back. It's wild to see both movies coming to the channel in the same week.

Jeff K.

Yes, it's about the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. I have not seen it, myself; honestly, I just remember the trailers looking so intense that I wasn't sure my anxiety could handle it.

Christian Da Silva

Here are some other recommendations of no particular theme for the future: - The cable guy - Jingle all the way - Perfume: the story of a murderer - Fun with Dick and Jane - Yes man - Dallas Buyers Club - Twins - Kindergarten cop - Starsky & Hutch (the Ben Stiller one) - Matilda - The Hangover 3 - White chicks - Anger management - Boat trip - Major Payne

Jeffrey Mitchell

What's wrong with his accent? As an aristocrat he should be speaking Old French? And all the peasants should be speaking 13th century English and not have modern accents? I feel like being historically accurate would have made it a difficult movie to watch. So really, Costner's accent is as legit as anyone else's.

Major Peril

Great week! Can't wait for the Fallout from Willow and the Impossible Prince of Thieves.

FranciscoGios

For some of us 80s kids Willow was our LOTR trilogy 😂

Jose Robles

Next week is gonna be a great week!

Jose Robles

I re watch it a couple of years ago to see the tv series … awful show but great memories for the movie

Trevor S Bright

🎶You know it's true, Everything I do, I do it for you🎶

D.A.V.E.

Just going to put in a request for Peter Weirs "Witness" and "Mosquito Coast" Harrison Ford at his finest.

D.A.V.E.

Willow brilliant, Val Kilmer needs more love try "Ghost and the Darkness". For 80s fantasy maybe try "Krull" its great fun.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Krull is one huge spinning wheel of CHEESE that returns to your hand and I love it.

Jeb Manning

After Willow, can we please get a reaction to The Dark Crystal? It's Jim Henson's other fantasy movie

guyincognito

I liked the show. Just all round stupid cheesy goodness like the movie, though for obvious reasons it couldn't be carried by Mad Martigan.

Old School Drew

Robin hood prince of thieves a.k.a an American in medieval England

DM DC

That would be awesome! The Dark Crystal is soooooo good!!

Victor Fiegel

The Impossible will break Simone. It wrecked me! I even had nightmares about it after I saw it. Great film! 👍

Jeb Manning

Yup and they already reacted to Labyrinth.

DM DC

Willow!! I am truly stoked for this week! Willow and Prince of Thieves. To be honest, I was surprised Prince of Thieves pulled ahead. I didn't expect many to like that film as much as I. I love that movie. Yes, Kevin doesn't have the accent, but man is the story and everything else so well done. It's difficult for me to not think of this as The Robin Hood story. At least for me. But man am I pumped for next week!!

FWPJR.

I’m looking forward to watching the Robin Hood reaction, I saw it in theaters 2 times back then. But I haven’t seen it for a very long time, so it’ll be nice rewatching it with you two.

Tom Hess

Some time after Prince of Thieves, you should give Men in Tights a rewatch. It will make more sense the second time around.

s0rd3z

Willow!! I love this movie and happily surprised to see it.

Kyle B

This Robin Hood is probably one of the worst tellings of the story, but also one of my favorites..go figure.

PureGonzo

Naomi Watts is my favorite actress of all time. So pumped you guys are doing “The Impossible.” After having done both that and “Mulholland Drive,” you only have “21 Grams” left to do in order to witness her 3 best performances 😉 Her performance in “Funny Games” is up there too IMO, but the film itself isn’t anywhere as good as the three other aforementioned ones.

funky weapon

if you're doing Willow, you have to do the Disney+ TV Show. it's terrible. fucking awful. so bad that Disney actually removed it from the service. but you must see it for how bad it is.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Tom Holland was also incredible in that. In fact, the whole cast did. It's an amazing film.

djKENTO

George, which cut of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves? Can we get a Runtime on that?

djKENTO

Also if you want more Val Kilmer... you gotta react to Spartan. My favorite Kilmer lead movie. He's so fantastic. The most grounded espionage film ever made.

djKENTO

I'm guessing that's the one with the 2hour16min runtime and not the 2hour34min version... I can't see which version is on Prime video cuz I own both cuts and it doesn't show me which is available on prime, just that I own it.

BigGuy209

I just looked it up and both versions are available to rent or buy on prime us

TomServo

"Look at this fuckin' lineup" - Richie A

Ian Hunt

Love Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I get all the criticisms of it (as an Englishman the route he takes to get home is f**king mental), but my “saw it as a kid and loved it” goggles are firmly on for this one

Rob

Madmartigan! I don't think I've seen either Willow or Robin Hood in 20+ years, should be fun

jmundt33a

Spartan and Real Genius

FilmAsh

YESS. So excited for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Willow. Hate to break it to all the Snape fans but Alan Rickman's sheriff of Nottingham is and always will be his defining role. He just gets to do everything that's makes him him in this role and its his meat and potatos. Every other Alan Rickman character since this movie was dessert. Just like Sneakers, Prince of Thieves was in that golden age window of non cynical late 80s - early 90s films where the blend of great storytelling and movie magic was at it's height and where the comedy action and drama are balanced so perfectly. Love the film score by Michael Kamen one of my favorite film composers who came and conducted my high school orchestra and filmed a music video with us for Mr. Hollland's Opus. Sadly he passed away shortly after. Would've been the next Howard Shore or James Horner. Willow was Lord of the Rings before Lord of the Rings. With scarier villains and effects and it was fun seeing Val Kilmer do a Hans Solo type role, the only time I've seen him do a role like that.

Ben Stevens

Ready for a little fantasy and high adventure next week! Well, and some gabagool ❤ k bye. See you at the movies cinebitches!

Major Peril

Although some don't like it... I vote for The Saint (1997)

REDR58

I don't want to get into it now, but as regards Willow...Joanne Whalley...wow.

REDR58

The one on Prime Video in the US is not free with Prime (rental/purchase only) and it claims to be the 2 hour, 16-minute version, but we all know how reliable those numbers are.

REDR58

Krull is great-looking but not great. Still, it's a fun watch and has some interesting production design.

REDR58

Seconding Witness and Mosquito Coast which I have not seen the latter of since it first came out rent on videotape.

Daniel Lanctot

WILLOW!!! Simone & George are going to love this one!

Naj

I think Willow is probably the best unintentional DnD movie.

John

Real Genius 1+

" She's Elora Danon the future empress of Teraslin, and the last thing she's going to want is a harry chest! "

Paul Hawthorne

Willow and Robin Hood in the same week!!!! What have we done to deserve this?!! Can’t wait.

Shawn B

OMG Willow!!!!!

XeonAlpha

“The Impossible”… oh no, oh no. Simone…. All of us are lending a hug in advance.

XeonAlpha

Simone is gonna need a hug after that one.

BubblyRainbows

Three movies I love in the same week! It's too bad TNG and Stranger Things aren't happening this week. That would have been an amazing week for my eyes! Can't wait to see all the reactions!

Logan Kerlee

I've been looking forward to a reaction for Willow for a very long while - I'm PUMPED for it!! Willow has always been my top favorite fantasy movie! :D So many happy feels. :)

Logan Kerlee

hahahahaha, I love it! Reading this made me laugh out loud, thank you! xD

Mark Alex Leach

That's so true, whenever I think of Prince of thieves, my mind thinks Rickman, not Costner. In fact Costner comes way down the list of good actors in it. He seems passively bewildered to be there most of the time.

Josip Buretić

Cannot wait to watch your The Impossible reaction!!

Jeff K.

I liked the show, but it didn't seem to know what it actually wanted to be. The anachronistic music was so weird, for example, especially given Willow has such a fantastic score so it felt like an insult to my childhood to not utilize it.

OddThomas

Stardust is a better fantasy movie imo

Logan Kerlee

What makes it even better - Thursday's my favorite day of the week already, so I'm always happy to have another reason to enjoy it. :)

idc

Figured I'd post a few of my notable favs not done yet. Would love to see these on a poll soon. jmundt33a

I like The Saint okay. The script is bonkers.

Jeremiah Hill

Any plans to finish the scream series before scream 7 hits streaming?

m0lika1 .

omg you're finally reacting to the impossible! awesome
