2026-10-19 05:00 IDK why so many reactors think that the folks from the cryo pods with Norm are middle management, despite being told and shown that they are nothing more than Personal/Executive Assistants.

blerbaberpaterb

executive assistants are literally considered middle management... middle management isnt a job title, you dont apply to become one. its a category of roles nestled below c-suite, assistant with operation.

Denis

I've been waiting to see how you'd both react to "She's CANADIAN!!" since I saw the episode. The reaction was exactly what I was expecting!

Tony Wirt

Oh George brought up a good point. Thaddeus could ending up like the Master instead of just a Centaur.

Carlos

Forgot y'all has paused Trek for this. Was low key hoping Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was next

Hank has already explained it. You've seen him collecting people from all different factions. Those people produced his miniature implants. Now he has sent some (or many) of THEM (his r&d ) out into the world. He said you won't know who has been chipped. Just a tiny little scar. So from now on, each faction will have people who are secretly following orders from the Enclave. Probably some factionless people too. And they most likely have extra chips with them to turn more people to the Enclave. It's kind of like The Thing or Invasion Of The Body Snatchers now.

Brandon

George is right on the money about the actor that plays Congresswoman Diane Welch. She does seem to have a career playing the most perfect boring lady on screen. She plays a boring touring guide at the Washington Monument in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Ive just finished playing Sons Of The Forest but at the same time , soon as I started watching Fallout Season 2 I had to back and play Fallout 4 again. So the whole time i was playing SotF i was also switching between that and Fallout. If you play the games I don't see how you can watch the show and NOT go back and start a new Fallout game.

Simon

Omg George thinking the Ghoul was in prison when the bombs dropped 🤦🏼‍♂️ And then Simone comes in with the “actually” lol

djKENTO

The senator, Diane Welch I've been recognizing her voice and I'm like "who is that? Where do I know her from"... COMMON SIDE EFFECTS! A show that ABSOLUTELY Deserves a reaction. It is genuinely an really great animated comedy and it's short. Would be a great break show.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Hank didn’t chip EVERYONE. He just managed to chip a bunch of drones and sent them out on a secret mission before Lucy got there.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Fun note: the funky looking Enclave HQ with all the balconies is actually a real building. It used to be an old auto assembly plant I believe.

Vengeance

Maybe they’ll take another break after the next Trek season. I would wager they would watch AKOTSK regardless of poll.

GAB

Next week, back to a more optimistic future where seemingly unstoppable cyborgs want to conquer the Earth.

The Real Andrew Kim

I was waiting all season to see you guys react to the opener with the Canada anthem and George didn't disappoint XD

Joel

She's CANADIAN!!! GET HER!!!

silverarrow06

I was so looking forward for your reaction to all the Canada stuff in episode 7...😍 "She is canadian!" was so hilarious...🤣

Shrimplication

Thank you for posting this, I don't get where the "everyone in the wasteland is chipped" thought came from.

PDP1472

I loved the Neuromancer homage with the phone banks(now there's a film that should have been made). For more Walter Goggins in similar vein, I'd suggest Justified. He plays an outright villain, but he's charismatic and fun to watch.

Shrimplication

Hank could have had all the time in the world to send his "workers" out into the wasteland. We don't know when he was frozen, or for how long. He had enough time while he was down in the vault to secure a nuke and send a drone out to blow up Shady Sands. And he said that their orders were set hundreds of years ago. We also don't know how many people he has out there, could be dozens or hundreds. Enclave be resourceful.

Joe

I don't view the Deathclaws as being trapped by the gate. They're just happy with their territory for the moment. Eventually they would get hungry/fed up with eating each other and break out.

OddThomas

I have a thing for mean blondes, so Steph does things to me. I would watch an entire series about her.

Joe

The Ghoul wasn't betraying Maximus and leaving him to the Deathclaws. He wanted to get inside the building, and Max wanted to help the town by killing the Deathclaws. Max could've followed him inside if that's what he wanted.

REDR58

Episode 7 The Handoff Steph’s mother, Joan, is played by Canadian actor Natasha Henstridge who is most famous for the movie “Species” (1995), which you should watch, and its sequels, which you shouldn’t bother watching. Steph may be Canadian, but Annabel O'Hagan who plays her is from the US. Technically, golf carts are referred to as golf CARS in the industry. Lucy in the golf cart, er car, being confused by 2 pedals and 2 feet and how it doesn't make any sense to her, well, some people actually do drive with both feet on the pedals and that is called "left pedal braking" or "two pedal driving": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CWIyo2bI-E What do you guys call it, a “garborator”? Never heard that before. We call it a “garbage disposal” in the US. I’m pretty sure Cooper and Max agreed on the plan for Cooper to go inside by himself. Remember, Cooper told Max to "stay between me" and the Deathclaws and Max surely saw that Cooper was heading inside.

Donna Castellano

The Congresswoman brain was programming the units, not controlling those who were already chipped. You see a set of Boxes hooked up to her machines when Lucy walks in. So Hank didn't lose control of everyone who was chipped (or could potentially be chipped with already programmed Boxes) when Lucy took the lady out, he just lost the ability to program more Boxes with the lady's attributes. Honestly, I don't think Hank wiped his own memory at the end. He was playing like he had. You'd think his first question upon "waking up" would've been, "why does my ass hurt?". 🤣

Joe

It doesn't matter that it makes sense to kill the congresswoman's head. It's still hard for Lucy to contemplate doing it. Also, the show is funny, it was comedic for Lucy to suggest patching her up.

Joe

I'm not sure where you got that everyone in the Wasteland has been chipped. Hank has only recently implanted a small number of people with the tiny chips. He has only just perfected the miniaturization of the chip. He wasn't doing that when he left the Vault in the past. 99% or more of Wastelanders aren't being controlled.

Joe

Hank pressed the button so that Lucy couldn't get answers out of him. No one else was affected by that button push.

I'm getting a 500 server error on both my phone and PC when I click 'allow'

Ryan Ware

Thank goodness we’ll be getting back to Star Trek next week!

"She's Canadian!" - One of the few bits I was waiting for

Guts

Back to TNG next week and my god it's 2 bangers. But Fallout is really good too.

Fred Fuchs

Is their website just not working at the moment? I just signed up and every link takes me to a 500 server error when I give it permission to use my patreon.

Td

Yea i think its down right now same issue

Fred Fuchs

I swear I have terrible timing for these things lol

Jeff K.

Yeah, guys, we're not meant to think that Hank set things in motion with his automated humans before the bombs dropped. Remember, he only just perfected the tech, and only VERY recently got the miniaturization finalized. So he set loose a few of his drones into the Mojave, from this very, very recent batch of experiments. Their missions were simply part of Vault Tec's plan long before the bombs dropped, presumably as part of Phase 2.

Philipp Roensch

Oh, I must have gotten confused by a Fallout 3 quest, Enclave President was someone else, but cool to see Clancy Brown here as the last President. Nice how it cicled back to the Enclave's first involment since before the war. Norm definitly has a high Luck stat to escape the roaches. I believe Howard's family was saved in this vault, they just left, but the Enclave base also looks like Colorado mountains? It is still a mystery how many people have been small chipped by Hank, I would wager the Vegas folks? Or some other executives he woke up. Hopefully not Cooper's family. Happy for our good guys to meet again though. Season 3 has plenty more to tell us.

Gee

"when did he have time to mass produce"? He had rooms of people he chipped working in perfect synchronicity making the chips as shown when Lucy first arrives at the vegas vault.

blerbaberpaterb

i think the timeline is a bit unclear with the show. that room of people making chips could have been a day or a week or several months. which means hank can either have enough to affect 100 people to up to 100,000 people. we saw 1 shot of them making stuff ,but we dont actually know how long they did that for. not to mention, having a bunch of chips doesnt mean same amoutn of people implanted. to find people and find the chance to implant is a lot trickier than just production.

Bert

George really need to re-watch season 1, seems like he doesn't remember much of it at all.

Charles

I enjoyed this season but like season 1 more. This season felt like there were too many storylines and nobody really got anywhere

John Miller

I think the miniaturization was just perfected. The one Lucy implanted into Hank was the only one. The rest were regular size. What we don't know is who was implanted. But we do have a clue. The two people Hank kind of forced Lucy to "erase" were from the Legion. What if the Legion were implanted, and after Hank activated their controls, he now controls them. And yes, Hank was pretending. Remember, Lucy had his control box. And she didn't activate it. Hank activated the one he had. Why would he do that to himself?

dys

I really like the point about Bethesda games having a main character who isn't the player character, I think that's why I like Oblivion's main quest storyline so much more than Skyrim's because it all has a focus around Martin Septim (Sean Bean himself).

David Lonewolf Wright

That "President" was the Enclave computer program pretending to be the President.

David Lonewolf Wright

With the release of FEV in the vaults, I guess it will turn all of those in vault 32 and 33 into Super managers.

dys

I laughed so hard at their reactions to all the Canada jokes this episode. It is kinda funny that Steph's actor is Canadian, but the American and Canadian film and TV industries are practically one at this point, so many of the biggest Hollywood stars are Canadian, that it hardly matters. Here I was thinking garborator was a Fallout term George knew... but yes in the US we call them garbage disposal or the brand names disposall or insinkerator (like kleenex the brand names long ago morphed into generic terms) I remember asking my dad when I first learned to drive why I couldn't use both feet for the pedals, it's just one of those things that would naturally seem like it would make sense to anyone who hasn't actually driven a car. It is definitely played for comedy that she can't even handle a golf cart, though.

dys

I knew I knew that voice from somewhere too, it's the same voice but SUCH a different character in Common Side Effects.

The Real Andrew Kim

I really do like the fake out theory, that never occurred to me but it so works. But in terms of the surface being the experiment, i think what Hank meant was that he had sent out some of the converted people already, seeing how he had an army of builders making the devices, he definitely could have sent out several "agents" for the enclave off screen and they just didnt show us. Also I think he meant that the 200 year of programming meant they were just following the plan laid out 200 years before

Sean

I never understood why people thought Thaddeus was a ghoul. Outside of a comment from Maximus, who is far from an authority on the topic, all the evidence pointed to FEV. He was injected with something after all. Ghouls arise from radiation exposure, not some ghoul serum.

ExtraBigAssTaco

With the assembly line that Hank already had up and running with his drones, he definitely had time to implant several agents to send out into the wasteland. I don't think he's faking, I think he's devoted to the cause. So he wiped himself, like a spy with a cyanide capsule, before Lucy could get any information out of him about the experiments, or any other plans. He couldn't risk her even accidentally finding the right settings on the controller to make him talk, or him succumbing to any shred of humanity that she might tap into as his daughter.

Donna Castellano

My mom drove with two feet. But the reason she did was one of her brothers-in-law taught her to drive. He used to race cars and they use both feet while driving.

Logan Kerlee

I super enjoyed watching this season with you both. :) I'm looking forward to another awesome season of Fallout after it gets released.

Dowly

Man, Kyle MacLachlan is such a great actor! Truly hope you guys check out Twin Peaks at some point.

John Smith

I love how George felt compelled to salute the three seconds of "Oh, Canada" that plays in 2x07's opening.

John

This was great. Given how you have enjoyed this, I would suggest Person of Interest, another Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan's brother) TV show

John Smith

I'd like to clarify that this person is not me - I'm a completely different anonymous person going by the name "John".
