If you already volunteered and want to do it again, then the instructions are the same as before!
Thank you all!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello everyone! Our site Cinebingers.ca is going under a major update on the server side and we are looking for a lot of testers! The goal of this update is to vastly improve video player stability, better control, better load time, as well as better compatibility with all the extensions and plugins everyone uses.
What we are looking for:
Anyone with more than 1 device to access the site; iphones, androids, tablets of all kinds, pcs, macs, linux, potatoes with light bulbs, whatever you got! The more devices the better!
Same goes for browsers, the more browsers you have installed and can login to Patreon with, the better!
Different viewing habits; is it just on your phone? on your laptop? do you also airplay? chromecast? screen share onto your calculator?
Plugins and Extensions! Those of you with one or more extensions, especially ones that doenst work well with our current player like Privacy Badger.
How to participate:
Reply in the comments of this post if you are interested, we'll message you shortly after with 2 URLs:
The first is our testing page, it is identical to the public one from a user point of view.
The second is to a Google form where you can type in detail any bugs you have discovered, attach any screen shots of said bugs, as well as other information such as your device/browser type and steps to reproduce the bug.
The test site will stay up for 2 weeks, during this time we encourage all participants to use it like you would with the live site, watch anything and everything; chromecast, airplay, stream to whatever device, try the two players, the different versions, the playlist and everything else you can interact with.
Those of you with experience doing QA, feel free to try to break things and let us know when you do in as much detail as possible!
During these 2 weeks, any bugs discovered will be actively worked on and patched onto the testing server, we'll keep you updated when they are fixed so they can be retested again and again!
That's all! We're very excited about this massive update, but because it is so vital and impactful we want to make sure its as thoroughly tested as possible and to do that we need your help! With all the different devices and methods of watching out there!
