About the intro talk : One thing to understand, is that, often enough, anime "seasons" are split in two (for a variety of reasons), so having plots resolve, leading into a cliffhanger mid-season makes perfect sense then, but may look strange when you're binging a show that's already fully out.

I'd like to point out that Erina has a unique issue with Soma. She doesn't mind being wrong or missing something and having someone else notice it, as demonstrated in episode 11 with Megumi. She doesn't like being directly challenged and is used to being right when she is. Soma didn't just aggressively step to her, he had the nerve to be entirely correct when he did it.

I think season 3 is the one where we finally get a lot more background on Erina.

David

i enjoy rewatching this but i dread the day we reach season 5

Kitchen Nightmares is such a great show to learn about how to operate a Kitchen. At least the UK version, the american version is worthless lol.

....i have to say... last week and this weeks episodes... Simone seems pretty checked out.... i get that she may not be into this show but like....part of the job is hosting and George seems to really be struggling trying to keep a conversation going with Simone basically ready to clock out the moment the episode ended....

I'm a relatively new patron (since the anime started) so if this was mentioned previously then my bad. But I wish you guys wouldn't completely edit out the audio from the openings and endings.

Gri33m

Season 3 explains why Erina is the way she is, and I'd definitely argue she's more than justified in how she acts

Andrew

Why do you feel the need to spoil things?

Andrew

I didn't see that. I think George is really into the show, but I don't think she dislikes the show or seems checked out. She seems like she likes the character relationships and those moments, and that continues to build out really well.

I would love to se you do a reaction to a certain food wars video as a companion piece. As a former chef it would be interesting to here your view to this video and if you agree with him. The "need your own copy" link is wrong.

To be real honest, I like these real world scenarios way more than the pure competition episodes. I know they, and all the exposition with it, is a staple of the format, but its was getting tiring. These episodes here have some great energy and relatable challenges. Speaking off challenges, my "professional" kitchen experience was dishwashing in a café, really boring. But also, I got to cook with a team for 300 hungry LARPers. We did many in-time semi-authentic recipes, but scaled up. Frying and grilling for 5 hours straight was quite the task. That transformation for Yukihira goes hard. Good finale.

Gri33m

calm down, that's not a spoiler by any stretch of the imagination, and I wasn't even the first to mention it.

Ive never really gotten into anime, only watched a few but one of them is Food Wars and i absolutely loved it because i went to culinary school and the recipes are actual things that you could do and they took their time with it. super interesting
