One facet of “Data’s Day” that was cool for continuity is how his personal logs are addressed to Bruce Maddox; the one dude that wanted to disassemble him for research in the brilliant “Measure of a Man.” It implies an improved relationship between the two which was a nice touch, even if it goes by in passing. Very enjoyable episode that ends up in the rotation here and there for this guy ☺️

s0rd3z

Yay Data's Day! So funny that George was asking about stuff like this during the last episodes and here we are. Wounded is a great episode as well. Good ole Miles O'Brien, the most important man in Starfleet.

Robert Cooper

If Data introduced K/O, is that like computer dating?

DonkyDave

First time I've seen Simone's new hair colour, looks great!

blerbaberpaterb

...yeah and...? Lal is fictional and made to look like that...

Joel

Vulcans most certainly do have emotions, they suppress them through intense meditation and mental focus, there are reasons for it, some of which are explored directly, but it comes down to the idea that their emotions are too dangerously intense to be expressed

DonkyDave

Is it bad that I can totally imagine George making puns during sex....?

Joe Concepts

I often have to laugh at George's incredulous reactions to TV tropes that were especially more prominent back in the day. Introducing new character and friends as if they've always been around used to happen all the time. Sitcoms were the most notorious for this. "Hey everyone, Joe here has been Harry's best friends since they were in pre-school, even though you never saw him until this episode of season 3." Ironic on Star Trek, but you can't always apply logic to these things. I suppose maybe there's also a cultural factor of not getting that "father of the bride" in a wedding ceremony could sometimes just be an honorary title to fill in a traditional role.

John Miller

The reason for dimming the lights is for comfort. We're used to having a day night cycle, so they maintain that by dimming the lights.

TalynOne

Cardassians vs Kardashians, one is a lizard like creature hell bent on galactic domination, the other is an alien species on Star Trek.

Matt O'Keefe

I forgot that Data's Day & The Wounded are together kind of O'Brien centered episodes. George wanting more complexity out of the Romulans is what I want too. I feel we might have to wait on that. Who knows?

blerbaberpaterb

...that only makes sense on earth where there is a sun rotating so the outside actually has a day and night... on a space ship, the night crew wouldve just woken up....their day time is literally just the hours they are awake...dimming the lights would force half the crew to be on the other halves circadian rhythm instead of having their own...

blerbaberpaterb

...there is a bit of irony here in your incredulous reaction to his reaction...in that you seem to understand theres age and cultural gap between people... yet you find it hard to accept and need to laugh at the result of those gaps.... isnt the point of reactions to see how different people view the same thing? and how those differences are interesting...?

Mike W

Good to see the Cardassians introduced. They have some great episodes

Matt O'Keefe

Mark Alaimo is good as Gul Macet and later so great as Dukat of course.

DonkyDave

that makes no sense for the shift operating at night since dimming the lights would encourage them to feel sleepy...

Robert Gendron

Gates McFadden was also a choreographer, notably did the choreography for the movie Labyrinth. So she does have the dance moves. Also note the redheaded security officer that Riker is talking to. She is Patricia Tallman, She plays Lyta Alexander in Babylon 5, but, since she was also a stuntwoman on TNG, she shows up a lot as various crew and aliens.

Joel

O'Brien the GOAT :)

Matt O'Keefe

I like Target Audience's reaction to The Wounded too.

Tangerra

The Wounded was always a favorite of mine. Insane to me how a show about people in pajamas flying through space can tackle the complicated morality and emotions of soldiers after a war in such a nuanced way. Especially in 1991.

Robert Gendron

Don't forget Frederick La Rouque in the S5 Finale

Weirdo

The Cardassians are maybe my favorite alien species on Trek - complex, multi-layered, neither entirely good nor evil, great foils in almost any story.

Gryff

I cant believe George got fig poisoning and forgot Keiko and Miles' well established relationship!

Data Cable

And that was the last time Chief O'Brien served under a CO named Benjamin who lost family to an alien incursion.

Paul Mix

Is anyone else getting an error trying to play the "need your own copy" version (7OOgeC6oo4) on cinebingers.ca? On macOS Safari 18.6, I see "An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: pB0kjDQXEUJqQpw3)". The error displayed in the latest Firefox is "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot". The other reaction with PIP (HG9GbgLwL4) plays without issue.

StonyD

LOL!!

Cinebinge

hi Paul, so those are messages coming from YouTube itself as thats where the video for those versions are hosted. do you have any VPNs or YouTube Enhancer plugins installed? as well, if you go to youtube.com on the same browser, are you logged into a verified account?

Monica Alarcon

"Like something out of Hellraiser' Sorry George, wrong Cardassian... IYKYK

REDR58

Wait until they start playing with flutes!

REDR58

(Speaking of emotions)

Joe Concepts

I'm not criticizing really, just finding that quirk of George's amusing. He likes to analyze some of the plots with logic even when TV doesn't always try to make sense. But after all, it IS a little strange that Data's "good friend" Keiko has never been seen before.

John

It's a shame we didn't get more of Bob Gunton singing.

Doug

The dimming of the lights is to maintain a day/night cycle on the ship to help with the crew's circadian rhythms. Starships typically operate on a 24-hour cycle synced with Earth time, often referred to Starfleet standard. Lighting in corridors, public areas and quarters are dimmed during the "night shift" (often called Delta shift) to simulate night. Individuals can however override this in personal spaces if desired or required (for example if they are alien to Earth). Duty shifts are broken into three 8-hour rotations: Alpha (morning/day), Beta (afternoon/evening), and Delta/Night (overnight). As Data doesn't require sleep, he is pretty much always on the night shift.

2026-09-05 05:00 One of those Cardassians was the same actor as Riker's friend from the Arsenal of Freedom episode in season 1. I can't believe I'm still noticing more repeat actors for the first time almost 40 years on.

Doug

When you were talking about things like time standards, it's worth remembering that all communication with alien races is going through the universal translator. When Picard asks for one hour, this is automatically being translated into the Cardasian equivalent (and vice versa). Star Trek magics away a lot of things like that in the same kind of manner.

The Real Andrew Kim

I think "Sex during puns" is the best description of George I have heard 🤣

Guts

2 great episodes! Yay!

Lintrinsic

The novels aren't exactly canon. What happens on TV shows and movies is Alpha Canon. Licensed media like books, comics and audio are considered Beta Canon. Alpha canon doesn't pay any attention or fall into line with beta canon, so it's often superceded by and in conflict with alpha canon.

Sven Ketelhut

There are hundrets of ST novels. Next to none are canon. Canon is ONLY what happens on TV or Movie screens, not novels, not computer games, not Roleplaying games sourcebooks. Nothing. There are even a lot of novels that go exact AGAINST the (TV)-canon or two novels that give exact opposite explanations for something. You can read ST novels, there are very good ones out there, but don't confuse them with ANYTHING official.

Thomas Yanez

I can't stand figs. Yet, I love me some Fig Newtons.

Paul Mix

Thanks for responding; I am logged into my verified YouTube account in both Safari and Firefox, am not connected to any VPN, and am not running any YT-Enhancer plugins in those browsers. I can confirm the same errors are occurring for any of the "Sync with your copy" videos on the cinebingers site, so it's not tied to this specific video. I tried clicking the "Reload Verification" button at the top of the cinebinger's page, as well as relaunching both browsers with no luck. I noticed `yt-dlp` was seeing similar errors trying to direct-download from another Patreon creator's YouTube earlier, and I was able to avoid it by using the `--cookies-from-browser` param. I'd attempt the same for the cinebingers video, but the player doesn't let me get to the point of copying or accessing the actual YouTube URL.

ImpishMisconception

Data’s Day I love this episode. I have watched it many times; it’s in my top ten favourite episodes. I remember when I first watched this episode, and I honestly didn’t figure out that the Ambassador was a Romulan. When I saw her as a Romulan, I remember I was so mad, and I literally shouted at the TV, “fuck you!” The Romulans just suck. Am I the only one who is mad that we still don’t have an alien wedding in Star Trek? I haven’t seen DS9, Voyager, and all the other Star Trek series yet. I’m deciding to wait and watch them along with Simone and George when they get to them, so if there’s an alien wedding in a future Star Trek series, please don’t tell me. Still, though, I want a pure alien wedding. I don’t count Spock’s sort of wedding in Amok Time in TOS because he didn’t marry T’Pring; she married some other dude. So, it doesn’t count, to me, as an alien wedding. I want a full-on non-human alien wedding, where both people follow through and get married. That’s all I ask. Don’t spoil it for me if this happens in a future Star Trek series. …. The Wounded Another great episode, well written and well paced. The food that Chief O’Brien serves to Keiko honestly looks like wet cat food to me. It doesn’t look appetizing at all. I love that at the end, Picard tells the Cardassian that Starfleet will be watching and then turns his back on him; that’s just badass, I love it.

Will Sofer

You recognized Bob Gunton as the warden in Shawshank Redemption, but I recognized him (on this viewing) as Leland Owlsley from Daredevil. Dude has a very distinctive look and voice.

Sub Commander is my new favorite Dom name.

the reload verification on our site only verifies patreon login and has no affect on youtube so it wouldnt change anything. we also havent made any changes to the player when it comes to youtube hosted videos, so something must've updated or changed from youtube itself. one more alternative option, on the home page of cinebingers.ca, when you are toggled to "Sync with your copy" version, all videos displayed should have a "Copy Link" button. clicking that will give you the actual YT url, which you can paste into your browser address bar, allowing you to watch the video on YouTube itself. bypassing our player all together.

Zectorman

MARC ALAMOOOOO!!!!

PIG

What a great combo. God damn I love TNG.

Paul Mix

Ah, thank you! The Copy Link button for each listing on the index page was what I needed! From there I can use `yt-dlp` to grab the video (which is then giving me the same errors I saw with other creators' videos, and that I can work around with the `--cookies-from-browser` param). This seems like either something gone awry on my system or a general YouTube change messing things up (hopefully the former and it's just me experiencing this, though I don't recall doing anything lately that would affect this).

Rob Steere

The idea behind "Data's Day" was taken from the newspaper column that Eleanor Roosevelt wrote called "My Day", where she wrote about things going on in her life, both public and private, as well as her thoughts on news items of the day. In this case, it's Data writing Maddox about everything happening in his daily life.

Joel

Highly disappointed... It's almost like he hasn't been watching, next thing you know, he'll think he saw Paul Walker or something :-P

REDR58

As seen in "The Last Starfighter"!

REDR58

Leland Owlsley aka "The Owl."He was also in “Demolition Man” as police Chief George Earle.

REDR58

Agreed. Fig Newtons are the closest I have or will ever get to figs.

REDR58

Which would only work face-to-face if everyone had some sort of personal hologram projector that wraps around the other person's mouth or everyone has some sort of implant that allows them to see this?

REDR58

Good eye. I noticed this long ago by the actor's distinctive voice. That Cardassian who is caught messing with the Enterprise’s computer is played by Marco Rodríguez who was last seen as the false Captain Paul Rice (who was the automaton/clone/whatever produced by the "Echo Papa 607" weapon system that was for sale.

REDR58

Uh, Paul walker was never on TNG. He was on Babylon Five! (He was not. But he was in episodes of "Charles in Charge" and "Who's the Boss?"!)

REDR58

Tallman will show up again in TNG with a speaking role in a great episode. She is also really good in the 1990 remake of "Night of the Living Dead" with Tony Todd which should be watched here ASAP.

REDR58

Data’s Day Keiko is played by Rosalind Chao who is in the movie “The Joy Luck Club” (1993) which is based on the 1989 book of the same name by Amy Tan and is a movie that should be watched here. Chao is of Chinese descent, despite playing a Japanese character here. TV was still doing that in the 1990s... Lal who was played by Hallie Todd in "The Offspring" does not have a creepy face! Hallie Todd: https://celebrityinkautographs.co.uk/products/6594 https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/actress-hallie-todd-attends-the-next-generation-indie-film-news-photo/1403774150 The Bolian barber V'Sal, as played by the late Indian actor Shelly Desai, is the same species as Starfleet Cadet Mitena Haro (Joycelyn O'Brien) as seen in the third season episode “Allegiance” who was a unnamed alien species that kidnapped Picard and 2 other aliens, replacing them with doppelgängers. To me a replicated gift seems rather…cheap (no matter the resources consumed). Especially for a wedding. I wouldn’t even gift a 3D-printed item for a wedding or anything else. For a great Colm Meaney movie, do check out “The Commitments” (1991). Why do Beverly and Data dance in their uniforms? Seems like a perfect opportunity for a costume change. I have absolutely made puns/jokes during sex and it’s been quite successful. Just depends on the joke!

REDR58

The Wounded Yes, it was John Hancock, not Hannock, who was the merchant and signer of the Declaration of Independence with the massive signature in 1776. To this day we still say, "put your John Hancock here" or the like when asking for a person's signature. Simone, the facial appearance of the Cardassians seen here and the ones seen later changes a bit.

REDR58

Curse my human brain, I forgot to mention that Rosalind Chao also played Mulan's mother in the 2020 live action "Mulan" film and that and Ming-Na Wen also stars with Chao in that movie, and "The Joy Luck Club."

djKENTO

Not only do Vulcans feel emotion, they are more emotional than Humans. If you remember Spock's half brother Sybok, who completely rejected Vulcan logic for emotion. He's not even half human like Spock, is but rather fully Vulcan, yet he's VERY emotional. Or Spock's father on TNG when he had trouble controlling and containing his emotions. Under all that logic is a deep roiling sea of emotions that they are constantly holding back with practice and effort.

Brandon

The Wounded is such an underrated episode. People love it, but I don't see it getting talked about as much as other classic TNG episodes. The @RealGulDukat parody account is one of the only reasons I stay on Twitter. One guess as to who the account is a parody of. 😁

Jomero

I do like that Data is chronicling his day in a letter to Bruce Maddox, the same person who wanted to dismantle him in the episode Measure of a Man. It's a nice nod that Data was true to his word that he was intrigued by some of his ideas and that they have formed a cordial relationship. Also likely showing that Maddox truly has come around in his feelings towards Data, which he showed glimpses of at the end of Measure of a Man.

Paul Peavler

Did Simone just say that she finds Gul Dukat attractive? That’s… a choice 😭

Paul Peavler

Modern Trek has pulled a lot from beta canon and made it alpha canon, but they’ve also done some stuff that breaks beta canon, so yeah, it’s fun to get into the beta canon and see what bleeds over into the shows and movies, but it’s not gospel.

djKENTO

I know a woman who is attracted to General Grievous from Star Wars and Starscream but only from the Michael Bay Transformers movies...

Potato casserole is a traditional Irish dish made of mashed potatoes, heavy cream and garlic which is then topped with cooked green onions and cheese. It's pretty good if you make it right but I get the feeling that O'Briens mother didn't make hers with capers and Miles is just a bad cook.

Paul Peavler

This is absolutely an echochlo reference lol, and it was also my first thought. I recognize your name from the KF community. Beyond!

Paul Peavler

Carassians. O’Brien. Political intrigue. Good writing. I could watch a whole series like that.

gfixler

I ate a whole little blueberry pie, the kind you get in a convenience store, that comes in a little white pair boat with plastic wrap over the top. I bit into the end, and exhaled slightly, and blue powder blew out. I looked at it, and kept chewing, and it tasted weird. I figured they didn't mix the powder well, like when you're mixing flour, and some of it is still in a little dry ball in the rest of the liquid, and you have to keep mixing to get it all mixed in. As I kept eating, I kept thinking how not being well mixed really makes it taste weird, like kind of warm and earthy. It was only as I was swallowing the last bit that it dawned on me that it was almost certainly all blue mold. It just didn't occur to me while I was eating the entire thing. It wasn't terrible, just weird, and I was really stuck on my first interpretation, all the way to the end. I had to console myself by thinking that maybe if I lived, I'd be immune to a lot of things going forward.

Eversharpe

No chorus line of tap dancing hobbits?

gfixler

Whoa, I never put that together. One of my favorite childhood films.

gfixler

And as a side note, Cheryl Gates McFadden would go by Cheryl McFadden when doing choreography work (as she's credited in Labyrinth), and Gates McFadden when doing acting work (as credited in Star Trek).

gfixler

Just a note: the volume on you two is way higher than the show here in the don't-need-your-own-copy version. In most shows, I can hear you and the show at the same time, but here you're totally blasting over everything being said, at least in the first episode.

Lintrinsic

It's pulled a few things, I wouldn't say a lot. On the other hand there is an awful lot of broken beta canon just amongst the few TNG books I've read and a handful of the comics.

Chrissonator

Fun fact, Gates McFadden that plays Dr. Crusher was the choreographer for the movie Labyrinth.

Cory Garron

Im fairly certain its not the first time shes mentioned it

Cory Garron

Chao is also on Three Body Problem.

Cory Garron

I've always agreed with S&G. I'd think dimming the lights just fucks with the circadian rhythms of the personel on active duty. Those who are off-duty can go have dimmed lights elsewhere.

G P

Especially if it takes place on a space station somewhere far away

Chrissonator

Maxwell was talking about humanity in his time, not present humanity. Although, it could be seen as allegory to humanity now, just assigned to the Cardassians.

Patrick - Excelsior

The US Navy also dims the lights at night for various reasons. Some would not be apllicable to space travel while others are. Such as aiding in maintain human circadian rhythms.

REDR58

Haven’t seen it, but good tip!

REDR58

He’s in it very briefly. I’ll give you a hint: look for a visitor to the trailer park.

p0sthum4n

The term Simone is looking for in describing Project Hail Mary versus scifi like Star Trek is "hard science fiction" — fiction that sticks to hard science and only uses speculative technology that is plausible within the known laws of physics. George: check out some of the works of Greg Egan, like "Diaspora". You might also like the works of Alastair Reynolds who some people consider one of the kings of "neo-space opera" — he writes a lot of pretty out there hard sci-fi. His book "House of Suns" is one of my favorites. It takes place very, very far in the future, and although it does involve several physics-breaking technologies (like Trek-style transporting), there's no faster-than-light travel and all of the consequences of long deep space travel and relativity are dealt with. It's a REALLY fun book with a very well-executed premise imo.

REDR58

There is also the whole “Honorverse” series about Honor Harrington written by David Weber, starting with “On Basilisk Station” (1992). I’ve only read a few of the books but they are more or less concerned with “realistic” space combat involving long-range fire, etc.

REDR58

Anyone else notice how Riker was playing with the crystal on Picard’s desk during the discussion about what happened to the ambassador before Picard orders the Enterprise to turn back in Data’s Day? I’m not sure if Riker has picked it up before, but Picard has played with it absentmindedly in the past. Also, it is utterly insane that Picard allowed the Cardassian warship to approach the Enterprise so closely and from the rear? TNG doesn’t show particularly compelling or “realistic” space combat as most of the time it seems to be trading fire between vessels that are within a few ship lengths of each other. I know it’s for dramatic reasons and to literally fit both ships in the same scene, but even during The First World War, naval vessels were engaging each other at ranges over 10 kilometers.

REDR58

That and I think the Federation in general.

Angzarr

The Picard abides.

Angzarr

I think George meant Lal's original face, *before* she chose to look like Hallie Todd. Re: "TV was still doing that", now that I think of it, it's kind of amazing that the late great Soon-tek Oh, the ultimate "universal Asian" character actor, never appeared in Trek. He showed up EVERYWHERE in the 70's-90's and it was always a treat. He did appear in Stargate SG-1 though. I love Data's Day, but it is one of those episodes where Troi's powers are conveniently limited so the plot works. From orbit she can sense deception from someone down on a planet, but can't tell that a Romulan is not a Vulcan on the same ship?

Simon Pegged Me

Angzarr – Good point about Troi. As far as I know, Romulans do not have the mental discipline, nor the telepathy that Vulcans do, so the ambassador's deception should have been easy for the counselor to see through. But as George has pointed out many times, Troi is so OP that the writers have to find ways for her to not resolve conflicts immediately.

gfixler

Now Simone's making me want to go for a Craigslist deal I saw this week on Star Trek novels. Someone is selling in two lots, $60 each, 38 novels from TOS, and 38 from TNG. I just found this, which is someone on Reddit who put together a Google doc list of all books—more than 800—in publication order: https://www.reddit.com/r/trekbooks/comments/o8rqln/google_sheet_every_star_trek_book_in_publication/ Someone in the comments there posted a link to their own site, Star Trek Book Club, which they claimed tracked more like 1500 books, but when I looked just now, had nearly 1900!. Let's start a Star Trek book club, and read all of them! Ooh, even better, you guys read them to us on Patreon, and do all the voices. ❤️🖖

gfixler

Hey now... No Project Hail Mary spoilers! I'm on chapter 6. It's just starting to get really interesting.

Simon Pegged Me

According to IMDB, the writers originally planned for Keiko to serve as a replacement for Wesley. She developed into Miles's wife, instead.

DonkyDave

This seems to be a tricky one because with lots of reactions I feel like I can't hear them when the movie is at very loud moments. I'm not sure it's a fixable problem because the volume of shows is so variable and change so much whilst watching.

gfixler

Yeah it's a tough one, and George will often talk in detail about something during things like car chaces and bombing runs, where I can't hear a a single word he says the entire time 😅 This first episode just seemed like the show was quieter than usual. I kept missing dialogue all throughout, a lot more than usual. Not super critical.

Joe Concepts

Cardassian makeup looks so much better when they make it gray later on.

Joe Concepts

I realized after watching this a few times, one big missing piece is what are Maxwell's officers and crew doing during this? We see none of them. Are they all on board? Do they really even know what's going on? That's my only criticism of a great episode.

Joe Concepts

Hey now, humanity in Star Trek world does NOT do those things anymore! :)

GAB

Rosalind Chao's parents are actually Chinese although she was born in Los Angeles. As an actress, she did suffer somewhat from being cast as a generic Asian - first Korean in M*A*S*H, Goodbye, Farewell and Amen and AfterMASH and then Japanese in TNG and DS9. Is that better or worse for the time than casting a Yorkshireman as a Frenchman?

Joe Concepts

M*A*S*H is a great example of that. I think people of every Asian nationality were playing Koreans on that show.

StonyD

I have never heard that! That's weird. Why would Bev have an Asian child................................? ;p

StonyD

PEAK TNG has been hit! Data's Day and The Wounded are, possibly, my two favorite TNG episodes of the entire series. I just feel they hit both sides of Trek I like (human observation through the lens of an alien/outsider, and personal/professional/political intrigue with nuance) in pitch-perfect tones. The Offspring, Remember Me, and Family would make my Top Five of all of TNG ever.

REDR58

No budget for the sets beyond his ready room and any other crew members? Seriously though, they aren’t really necessary to the story.

Matt O'Keefe

Chao also was Klinger's wife on MASH and AfterMASH.

REDR58

Maybe that was to happens after Keiko had that unfortunate transporter accident…

Ron K

I love Simone's "Damn it George, they are obviously talking about humanity at the time of the series!" face.

Superpotroast

Yeah, Andy Weir writes hard sci-fi (The Martian, Project Hail Mary)..The Expanse is also very hard sci-fi.. Star Trek is very soft sci-fi..(in terms of it's fantastical technology) Just like magic systems in fantasy stories, there is hard and soft magic.. The more actual rules and explanation to the magic system the harder that magic system is.. Harry potter is soft magic and Dresden Files or Name of the Wind would be harder magic..

Logan Kerlee

hahahahaha, the final bits has me ROLLING with laughter!! xD

Opti_Frog

Candy Found on a Barbershop Floor

George, when "Keeping up with the Kardashians" came out and I had just heard the name, I was thinking it was a Star Trek show. I was in middle school and high school when the OJ trial was going on, so Robert Kardashian was unknown to me.

REDR58

Yeah I was just ragging on George a bit about the appearance of Lal.

REDR58

Also, not only was Soon-Tek Oh in all sorts of TV during that time, he often played a different character when returning to a series. According to Wikipedia he played 4 different characters for his 4 appearances on the original “Magnum p.i.” 5 different roles on “M*A*S*H” and 8 different people on the the original “Hawaii Five-O” and for the latter that has got to be a record for that series (of which that and “Magnum” I’ve seen both in their entirety, except for the “banned” episode of Hawaii Five-O.”).

gfixler

Okay, done. Spoil away! 😆

This Justin

I always thought that relaying time in the Star Trek universe was part of the translation process. It stands to reason that most species have some form of clock, so if the translator understands how their metric works, it can simply convert the time into something the other species understands. What is strange, though, is that a human might say a round number like “one hour,” but to an alien, that could come across as a very specific amount of time.

Angela D. Mitchell

Thank you -- I missed that detail and it adds so much added nuance.

Angela D. Mitchell

Hey, I had crushes on Tony Soprano and romanced the Iron Bull in Dragon Age Inquisition. Pretty is in the eye of the beholder.

Angela D. Mitchell

I loved the way these episodes used the performers' backgrounds in subtle ways! Gates McFadden was a pretty well-known choreographer before acting, so it was wonderful to see her dance here. And Brent Spiner and Bob Gunton are both seasoned Broadway musical performers -- Bob was in the original Broadway cast of Evita as Peron (singing and dancing quite respectably) and Brent was in Sunday in the Park in the proshot with Bernadette and Mandy, among other productions.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

No worries at all ☺️😎 it’s actually something I picked up years later in subsequent rewatches. Just so happened I went from Measure of a Man to this episode on a whim and the dots were immediately apparent haha
