Yay for Hannibal and Role Models

Alex Leach

Hannibal the standout for me.

TheLeftPecOfTheLord

So happy you guys are capping off the trilogy with Maxxxine, the whole trilogy is such an interesting blend of genres that is refreshing to see such a ambitious project in the current state of Hollywood. Great week ahead!

Tom austin

Looking forward to Hannibal. At some point when you guys fancy a bit of Denzel you should watch flight. Literally noone reacts to it, it's very underrated

Mike FromOz

Darn, was hoping Top Secret would make it in this week. Oh well, I can wait 😁

Tom B

I still can’t believe they haven’t seen the bbc series Sherlock!

John

I wanted to suggest a future poll as earlier this week there was a brief mention of the sword and the stone. Arthurian Legend movies: Green Knight, Camelot, First Knight, Excalibur, The sword in the stone, King Arthur, King Arthur Legend of the Sword.

You know, seeing The Grudge there, then Hannibal, then Maxxxine, and with World War Z pending on Sunday, it brings me back to a question I have had before: what is "horror" exactly as a category? It seems really really broad. The Grudge is absolutely what I would call horror. Ghosts, curses, meant to scare you. But Hannibal, and to some degree Maxxxine are...lurid. Dark side of humanity sort of stuff. Are they scary? I dunno, they are a little over the top. And then World War Z is basically an action flick with zombies. Fun, and I like action horror, but again not really scary so much as exciting, or activating fight/flight. We call them all "horror", but they scratch distinctly different sorts of itches.

MaxXxine . Awesome . The trilogy will be complete .

Jeromy M

Please do the uncut version for Role Models

Christina Bee

another Ti West suggestion - Widow's Bay. he directs one of the episodes.

s0rd3z

Role Models is going to be so much fun. Now let us gingerly touch our tips!

Brandon

I just saw 'Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die' and I think you guys would LOVE it. 😆

darkmoobs

Oh man, hopefully they will finally check out Wet Hot American Summer after Role Models.

Ben Stevens

I personally thought that Hannibal was a very worthy entry in the Silence of the Lambs franchise, and I really kind of prefer Julianne Moore to Jodie Foster as Starling. Interested to hear G&S's takes on all the performances in that movie, but Role Models will absolutely be a blast, no doubt in my mind <3 HAIL KISS-MY-ANTHIA

Todd Rush

It is so good. I love that series.

Todd Rush

Axe Murderer?!? Nobody watches that! I’m very excited.

inspectordh

Did Star Trek 6 go on YouTube?

Nick b

Role models!!!!

Major Peril

Just a word of caution regarding this next week… In a world where raising children requires the tactical discipline of an Attack on Titan garrison just to navigate the Stranger Things lurking in the teenage subconscious, modern parents must boldly go where no caregiver has gone before, channeling the diplomatic stoicism of Star Trek while subtly masking their inner Hannibal when the toddler tantrums peak. It is a chaotic, Cowboy Bebop jazz-fused balancing act of performing as flawless Role Models by day, only to collapse by night, praying their offspring don’t manifest into some kind of Hollywood horror story starring their own little Maxxxine. 😁

SkulblakaDrakon0

I want to know if you're watching Food Wars Season 3 after Cowboy Bebop? Since starting in Season 3 Chinese cooking becomes prevalent, i want to especially see George's reaction and his opinion on accuracy and authenticity of it.

Mitchell Bowker

I was also here to say the same thing! "Wet Hot American Summer" is one of the funniest movies - also by the same creative team a fantastic comedy "They Came Together" which parodies those rom-coms that Simone loves so much by the same creative team!

darkmoobs

They Came Together is such an underrated movie. The grandma scene is wild.

Stefan Daniw

it’s going to be a good week

Deadly Ramon

Looking very much forward to your reaction to Hannibal. It’s about time!

Deadly Ramon

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is the epitome of horror.

Deadly Ramon

Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore both played the character flawlessly. While I’ve seen Foster in a bunch of films, the only other movie of Moore’s I’ve watched is one of the Jurassic Park sequels.

Ben Stevens

She's great in the Big Lebowski, Boogie Nights, and the Hunger Games sequels too. I guess I've just seen less Jodie Foster over the years because I can only really name like 3 movies she was in too.

zona999

Maxxine was a big disappointment

Beir Benkins

HANNIBAL WOOO maybe this means eventually Hannibal Rising.... and then maybe... the tv series ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Dustin Duvall

Cinejump just did a react if you need your fix

Matt Blanchette

Certain quarters of the Internet you'd be in big trouble for saying that. (Not here, though!)

Matt O'Keefe

Excited for Ro Laren tomorrow morning.
