Robert Cooper

Re: emo kid It's probably not good for the channel, but Kyle Gallner has actually had a run the last few years of doing some GREAT small indie movies.

newhastings

Its a shame its a deleted scene bc id give anything to see them react to Patrick Star’s VA saying “I’LL CUT OFF YOUR NUTSACK AND NAIL EM TO MY DOOR”

Kozmo

Is there a designated area to submit questions for the prerecord portion of the reactions? Also how will I know if my question has been answered and it what video? Anyways, my question is would you rather spend a year in prison or only remain in prison until your parent completes Elden Ring with no assistance, guidance or aid? (Feel free to adjust the duration or game).

blerbaberpaterb

if you go to the Cinebinge page here on Patreon (not just your feed but the creator page) theres a "posts" tab at the top to see all posts, including the one they pin to the top and its the Q&A post. https://www.patreon.com/Cinebinge/posts/questions-and-160742742 im guessing the reason they dont say which video your question is answered is to encourage people to watch every video.

Brandon

I'm pretty sure they would love 'Strange Darling', 'Dinner in America' and 'Carolina Caroline'.

Cc Decc

George should show his fiancé the 70s eco-horror Squirm (1974?). Would get him right back out on the market in record time. :p

Brandon

For another Karyn Kusama film 'The Invitation' is awesome. For another movie dated by it's mention of MySpace you could always watch 'Funny People', with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen.

OddThomas

Destroyer is a great Karyn Kusama movie. Jennifer's Body is basically Heathers meets Ginger Snaps (but with demons instead of werewolves)

Cc Decc

This is an odd movie just in that its NOT that great....but I somehow have affection for it anyway. Its entertaining. Did not at all deserve the backlash it seemed to get because people were pushing (over pushing) back on the shallowness of its star.

Cc Decc

And hey, while I'm being all inspired, given Simone's pre-movie comments, a movie you guys could check out is The Ruins (2008). Leviathan (1989) might also do the trick. They always say you should face your fears. Unless your fear is lions, because that could go badly.

jmundt33a

Dave Rigalski was a long time ago and doesn’t match the rest of the filmography.

OddThomas

I was not an Adam Brody fan until I saw The Kid Detective. Great movie, a bit like Brick.

jmundt33a

Goth is a step up from sociopath. He was the go-to teenage serial killer on tv.

jmundt33a

The marketing failure for this film needs to be studied.

Andrew

Diablo Cody's dialogue has not aged well.

Chad Daunhauer

“You give me a wettie.” That line is so bad. 😂😂

My name is Jere

Fun fact Spotify did open for public at 08 and this movie is from 09. So the devil named Spotify was a thing allready.

Monica Alarcon

Recommendation after watching this one: Ginger Snaps...

Nat B

Kyle Gallner is such a star. "Dinner in America" is genuinely one of my favorite movies ever.

China Andronicus

I still think Juno is great because it only peppers in the quirkiness, but this one is pretty much non-stop and it gets to be too much.

China Andronicus

It’s very much a modern, supernatural take on the 80s revenge/exploitation films like I Spit On Your Grave. Much less graphic, but similar in plot. I was a bit surprised you agreed with Chip that Needy should be concerned about those who had already passed rather than the girl who was alive and missing who could (and it turns out was) being murdered.

Major Peril

Haven’t seen this one in ages, glad to see it won the poll. Such an under-rated horror comedy. “Who’s Phil Collins?” Wow… that makes me feel REALLY old. 😫 Loved seeing Johnny Simmons here and as “Young Neil” in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Diablo Cody’s dialogue had some really good lines, particularly in the bar scenes, but overall did seem somewhat dated. Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried delivered though. 😆

REDR58

Speaking of Horror Comedy, I just watched "Ready or Not: Here I Come" last night. It's well worth a reaction!

UpDog81

Ticks burrow just their head in. Creepy

UpDog81

Never use tap water in a Neti pot. Your brain will thank you

Ashton Lewis

I don't think their ritual actually did work. What made them famous was the fire that night at their concert and the rumor about them saving people from the fire, plus their song becoming the unofficial anthem of that tragedy. A story like that would spread like wildfire (pun intended) and the band would be super famous overnight, with spots on talk shows and what have you. So i think them becoming famous was just happenstance

Data Cable

I wasn't expecting this one to border on the goofiness of "Idle Hands." That was Lance Henricksen as the driver at the end. Stick was played by Scott Glenn.

Neckboyz281

This is one of the two movies I actually walked out of. Maybe I'll give it a chance one day.

2026-09-05 05:00 you guys are way too literal-minded sometimes lol movies are not dnd campaigns or stormlight, not every piece of magic is based on a logical system, sometimes it's just for emotional effect or symbolism the "bond" between Needy and Jennifer isn't a special power from a magical item, it's a symbolic representation of the intense friendship that teenage girls have. ripping off the locket -symbolizes- Needy rejecting that friendship, "breaking the spell" Jennifer has over her in a metaphorical way
2026-08-01 20:00

JamesJ

Older guy at the end is Horror icon Lance Henriksen. Aliens, Terminator, Pumpkinhead, Near Dark

nigel Macbug

before starting this channel anyone else expect Simone to answer with ''I don't watch boxing movies'' if invited to watch rocky horror?

Raven Blackrose

Mm. I don't mind a bit of lore now and again, but I'll curse Brandon Sanderson to my last breath for popularizing Hard Magic, a plague upon emotional and metaphorical storytelling. Also for being intensely Mormon, but that's a separate issue.

Kozmo

Okay thanks a lot! I for some reason can’t see that pinned post on the website version of Patreon but I can see it on my mobile. That’s a bummer, they put out a ton of content so it’s going hard to sort through if they do answer my question. I’ll probably just forget. Thanks!

REDR58

Yep, sterile or distilled water only.

REDR58

Also, never rub another man's rhubarb.

REDR58

I'm hoping all the recent Phil Collins discussion in the last week or so will sink in.

droodly

It says in the book Needy reads that the ritual will still work but a demon will attach it self to the unpure person. So it worked. Just had consequences for not following all the rules.

Ashton Lewis

Oh yeah it did didn't it duhhh. I'll leave my comment here as a tribute to my shame

jmundt33a

He was also Ace Hanlon in The Quick and the Dead. He was also the proprietor in Hard Target.

Tim Boxall

Been looking forward to watching this with you both, and it was a blast. For more indie body horror, may I recommend "American Mary" directed by Canadian twins the Soska Sisters. It won't disappoint!

Jp956

Ah yes the film that awoke countless lesbian fantasies. It is also kind of funny how it was marketed towards men when we all know who enjoyed it the most

Mark Barger

Cracks me up every time George watches a horror movie and has to understand the “rules” or the “world” or the “type of evil.” I always think he should just sit back and enjoy what’s happening but then I remind myself that asking those questions is the way he enjoys a movie. To each his own and I am watching this for the reaction.

Raven Blackrose

This was...well, very of the time. I LOVE United States Of Tara, great show, other than that Diablo Cody always seems to irk. Also just... allergic to Mean Girls, Heathers, etc. Had enough of high school, y'know?

Tyler Foster

If Cinebinge did Brick and/or The Kid Detective I'd be over the moon.

Tyler Foster

My favorite Karyn Kusama movie is her debut film Girlfight (2000), also the debut of Michelle Rodriguez, and still my favorite performance of hers. A really great small-scale sports drama.

Matt Blanchette

I think he's the only guy to get killed by a Terminator, a Predator, AND a Xenomorph.

Frank

I had never seen this. I wasn't ready for it to be so funny. As someone in high school when this came out, salty was used in the way it is today. I was also confused when they were using it as a term for beautiful, lol.

peyten

Jennifer had a crush on Needy. when the demon possessed her she was forced to eat men to survive, and eventually she decides that if she has to do this to feel normal then she is going to start picking off the guys around her best friend that Needy shows any platonic or romantic interest in. they’re in her way. Colin Gray and Chip had to go, and if the movie had continued we would’ve seen her eat more boys that Needy spoke to. It is kinda crazy the discourse around this movie being considered WLW or not when the most Jennifer is ever herself here is in the beginning of the movie when she’s flirting with Needy, and in the scene where she kisses her right after finally feeling full and normal again.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Yeah, that’s why you can’t just pull them off, it’ll leave the head in your skin. Ick.

Simone's Coconut Squire

I totally get it! I’ve been trying to think of the most logic-less movie to get them to watch just to watch George’s head explode.

blerbaberpaterb

i think its an on-going joke they have since they did Not Another Teen Movie where the movie itself makes fun of the trope that a super hot actress with glasses = ugly. also, i dont think its a matter of suspension of disbelief, it would be that had he said "omg shes not the ugly friend theres no way". i think hes more just calling out hollywoods cliche of "super attractive actress has messy hair = ugly" trope.

bdennis2004

Chester in that context likely refers to Chester the Molester. Similar to Family Guy's Herbert the Pervert.

REDR58

An animal that “terrifies” me are termites for the damage they can do to my house. So far, so good…

dys

Some of you guys in the comments are way over-emphasizing minor aspects of their reactions though... you're talking like they spent the whole movie trying to analyze rules of the magic system at play here. It's like in the comments about the big reveal in last week's Attack on Titan episodes, that they missed literally one line when they immediately caught what was happening in the very next line from that same character but the comments were making it seem like they missed the whole reveal.

dys

I don't even get where this comment is coming from, it did not seem to me like understanding the "rules" here was a major thing George was focusing on in this movie.

dys

Frankly it's more annoying that you bring this up than that George does mention this common trope. Why are people like you even subscribed?

dys

I don't think so, this movie is using "salty" to mean hot in some way I haven't heard of either.

REDR58

He was about 22 years old during filming.

REDR58

The guy seen on the infomercial on the TV is Tony Little, the real fitness pitchman who was known for the "Gazelle" exercise glider, among other contraptions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ5Zea0KS0k Jennifer brags that she has access to a Chrysler Sebring which is *not* the flex she thinks it is! It was a rather poorly-regarded car, to say the least. Also, Michael Scott drove this car in the US "The Office" series and also bragged about it. "Gomer" is slang for a simple, stupid person, likely from the "Gomer Pyle" TV character from the shows "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." All 4 of the main actors in the movie, Fox, Seyfried, Kyle Gallner (Colin) and Johnny Simmons (Chip) were about 22-23 years old at the time of filming. None were in their 30s. Deer will certainly sometimes eat smaller dead mammals, fish and even snakes. Also, bones. When Jennifer talks about watching the "Aquamarine" DVD she is referring to the 2006 movie directed by Elizabeth Allen and starring Emma Roberts (from "We're the Millers"). It's about a mermaid. The "8675309" song is "867-5309/Jenny" by Tommy Tutone from 1981: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WTdTwcmxyo It was and still is a real phone number used in a number of area codes. George, "pecan sandies" are a a type of shortbread cookie: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/237018/best-pecan-sandies/

CouchCheese

The closest they'll get to a recent-era Gallner movie is Smile, probably.

CouchCheese

He is also doing a reaction video, where dead space needs to be filled with some kind of commentary.

Jacob King

You’re both wrong about that dress. It’s awesome. The title comes from the Hole song that plays over the murder scene.

Jamie

I fucking love the 'she's just hovering' line. Perfect comedy.

Jamie

It's Bishop! Thank you

Jamie

He really was a bit overly obsessed at moments imo, but as the guy said, it's all good and part of the charm.

Jamie

shame!

Jamie

It's fantastic

Jamie

Boomer comment :P

Jamie

Stroke their own ego? Display superiority in the way they consume media correctly?

Jamie

So weird that imo it's best movie I've watched in weeks, and I fucking love films.

Jamie

I'd disagree, it's mad made up quirkiness makes it timeless. Actual teen slang for a comedy like this is more likely to date

OddThomas

Ginger Snaps is a classic

Neckboyz281

My best friend really like it

TYLER NORWOOD

I'm kinda bummed out you didn't go with the unrated cut. It would have been funny seeing your guys' reaction to Patrick Star (same actor who plays the coach) threatening to cut off some nuts. Lol

TylerNorCal

This was way better than I expected haha

Chris Kelley

Just wanted to say thank you for answering the question in the pre show. I understand how much work and effort you put into this channel and I appreciate it. If anyone wants to see their reaction to creepy crawlers I suggest watching their reaction to “Stand By Me”.

djKENTO

That's Lance Henriksen aka Bishop from Aliens at the end of the movie and it's an homage to the James Cameron Produced, Kathryn Bigelow directed vampire western NEAR DARK starring Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton and Jeanette Goldstein (Vasquez in Aliens). It's an Aliens reunion vampire western and it is a definitely must watch for the channel. Doesn't get nearly enough love. Total cult classic.

Werevark

The scene with Jennifer laughing while covered in blood having just ate, choked on, and vomited up a cold chicken, remains genuinely unnerving to me. There's just something about having your friend in front of you, clearly, visibly not alright, laugh-sobbing that is so terrifying to me. It doesn't hit quite as hard as when I first watched it, but it is still a powerful impression from a first watch that I carry with me. Ticks burrow their heads in. Its gross.

Kyle B

First time watching this movie. Kind of reminded me of Ginger Snaps, and Buffy. Really liked it overall.

Lucas

So just to confirm, ticks can and do burrow! This summer I got 2 deer ticks that bullseyed me, one of which I had to dig out of my leg as it was so under my skin only its rear legs were sticking out. Really annoying

Cory Garron

Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?

JoeE

The insult Gomer comes from gomer pyle, a naive, hick character from the Andy Griffith show and other shows. Also inspired the nickname private Pyle in full metal jacket

Cory Garron

Thanks, I definitely recognized him but would NEVER have remembered his name, if I ever knew it.

Cory Garron

The only time I can recall when "salty" was kind of used like that was the first time Cordelia meets Angel (both first times) and she immediately says "Hello salty goodness".

Jimi Hart

re: maggots. My great grandfather lost his leg at Dunkirk in WWII, and while in hospital he awoke in the night (delirious), to reach down and scratch his leg and retrieved a handful of maggots (they we're used to eat away dead flesh and gangrene). Because of his state he wasn't even aware he'd lost his leg, let alone his leg wound being treated with maggots. PTSD much. You're welcome.

Jamie

Demons?

Jamie

Nothing for nothing but as a person from the UK the insult 'Butthurt' feel like the most pathetic childish shit ever. Take that info and do what you want with it

Jamie

I don't think it's supposed to hit hard, it's more like Buffy. It's fun and a bit edgy cos it's a movie.

Jimi Hart

Seeing how this won over “As Good as it Gets” I thought I MUST give it a go. Watched it last night with you guys and meh. I did quite like the Low Shoulder song though too Simone, and Georges reaction when Chip says “Am I too big?” 🤣

Richard Z Herrera

atleast 1 and 2 for sure. Love Katherine Isabelle.

Viilutaja

Thi video is marked private, you have to watch it when signed in. But i am....
