I have some little affection for the grit of Jayne's the Punisher, but its not a great movie and never takes off. The Jayne movie that's a hoot that the channel hasn't watched is The Deep Blue Sea (1999). Grown Ups...I mean, iteration 1586 of "grown men acting liking middle schoolers with a side of pathos", oh ha ha. Ha.

Definitely would recommend watching Punisher: War Zone. Not related to the one you guys are watching; it’s its own independent movie. It’s absolutely bonkers crazy in the best way. Just stupid, absurd, silly gory action violence for 90 minutes and it’s awesome. R.I.P. Ray Stevens

Similar wavelength. Although, when George and Simone finally watch Spielberg’s The Color Purple, I’ll be absolutely locked in because she’s truly extraordinary in that. The movie breaks me down in tears at the ending every time.

Who dug up The Punisher? They keep talking about a third Sister Act movie, but that development story should be put to bed. Three quarters of the convention is gone. Bill Nunn’s gone. Whoopi’s 70. The window is nailed shut. Still love the first film. My introduction to the amazing Dame Maggie Smith.

Thomas Jane Punisher is a left-field pick but I dig it. it's a good adaptation of a certain era of Punisher comics. before Jon Bernthal played him as a grunty neanderthal wanting to tell you summin', Punisher was less about violence and gore and more like Marvel's answer to James Bond or Jack Ryan. tons of his comics in the 80s and 90s were more like classic military thrillers than gory street-level executions. it's an era of Punisher that's been more or less forgotten since the Garth Ennis "Punisher MAX" run in the early 00s. it'll be interesting to see how you guys respond to a more comic booky interpretation of the character. also I haven't seen Sister Act since I was like, six. I have no idea if that movie is any good.

You guys should look into doing some type of once a month lottery where people submit a movie and you pick at random a winner to watch. And or maybe creating a more expensive tier where the people there get to pick one movie you guys watch.

'Grown Ups' I can understand, because I have seen a lot of people request it. 'The Punisher' is right out of left field though. I can only assume it's because you want to take a run up on something that is related to the film potentially, like the Daredevil TV series perhaps? The thing I remember most from watching the film at the cinema was me wishing it was the Dolph Lundgren version instead 😂 A very strange week, to be sure.

I loved Tom Jane's performance as Punisher in 2004, but would have preferred that the story remain a closer adaptation of Garth Ennis's groundbreaking "Welcome Back, Frank" story from the year 2000, which was part of the Marvel Knights imprint.

Totally off topic, but any chance yall gonna react to Dark? Its a pretty short but a fantastic time travel drama. Its german and on netflix, but pls watch it in german. If you do ill definitely pay for it

For me Grown Ups isn't even bad, just painfully mediocre. Kind of funny, but not something that ever made me laugh. And for some reason all the main guys feel like they're simultaneously trying too hard yet not trying at all. Like it seems like they'll feel a scene needs a joke so they'll just force one in there. It doesn't feel organic.

funny that at no point did i mention the lottery idea was bad, and that i only object to the money = more important vote idea, yet you keep trying to insist on the first thing that i wasnt talking about. its almost like you know your second idea is bad and being called out, so you keep trying to forcibly lump the first idea into it, which i wasnt objecting to, as the objection in an effort to make my actual objection to appear more unreasonable. then you decide to throw in an emotional term to describe my objection in an effort to make it discredit the reason and reduce it to something 'sassy'.

I’m not married to the idea just was throwing it out there. Patreon has different $ tiers that come with different advantages already so it’s not that unreasonable of an idea in my opinion. Edit: I just looked and cinebinge already has five tiers with different prices that come different advantages so what’s the big deal if they add one more?

Please don't. Another channel I used to subscribe to did that, and the movies picked were FUCKIN AWFUL! It's like people suddenly became college film school professors and picked the most obscure films or finally got their chance to get the channel to watch some straight to DVD movie that they thought was "underrated." I think I had heard of the film that was picked twice in the 2 years I was subscribed. The other 102 weeks were all crazy obscure movies. I think the channel finally stopped doing it because those videos always had such terrible views.

I’d love to see more PTA movies on the channel. I’m not sure how well they would do on YouTube, but I think you would love Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, and Licorice Pizza, and they’d definitely make great reactions.
