Now George is seeing why Henry Cavil quit. He wanted to do the stories from the books/games and they want to just make stuff up and change things for no reason whether it makes sense or not.

Seeing George and Simone doing synchronized fangirling out is so _adorable_. (c: With regards to Eskel's demise i'd say it's clearly a message being sent to the fanbase of the books and games (because those are the only ones who'd notice or care) by the writer(s) that this is an adaptation not a retelling, and while they might mine the source material for plot ideas and memberberries they are not actually beholden to it in any way. Because we bought this IP and can do with it what we want, so deal! Or something to that effect. Which does not necessarily have to be a bad thing if it is backed by creative talent to match. Unfortunately that is rarely the case, and arrogance tends to far outstrip ability in most franchise writing rooms these days. We shall see. Oh and the dream demon tempting the three is clearly Baba Jaga from slavic myth. The walking hut was a dead give away. It also makes sense in context because BabaJaga is often depicted as a shapeshifter and member of a tripartite earthgoddess whose domain is death and rebirth, all things that came into play in the Yenefer plot line this episode.

I agree. After Game of Thrones I’ve learned to just roll with changes to things I love but have no control over. Others choose to just ignore it, pretend it never happened or it does not exist. That never works for me though. I do my best to accept it, and I am surprisingly ok with this change. It throws a wrench into the works, and now no one is safe. Am I sad that Eskel will not have his story told on screen? Sure. But that’s ok. The books are still there.

I think Ciri has grown A LOT since season 1. I initially wasnt sold on her casting, but after this season, I'm sold. She is actually a great Ciri, and I can only imagine how it will be in the future!

man, the eskel thing hasnt happened yet, but I can tell George is not going to be happy about it... They stray from the books quite a bit. I dont look to this show to follow them. They use them as inspiration and loosly follow them and some books they follow closer. I still enjoy the show A LOT. I hope he doesnt write it off after that scene, like I know some have.

That is true though. I dont see why they used Eskel to get infected by the Leshen... However, it was a necessary plot point that you will see in the future.

How frequently will this be uploaded? Also I think Eskel wasnt himself. He was infected which basically turned him into a completely different person. I'm sad they decided to kill him off when they could have used another witcher. I havent read the books, only played the games, so Im sure this is even weirder for those who have read them. Thanks for the reaction and not letting that moment completely ruin it for you! <3
